Abstract

The green open space is one of an effort in order to handling of the increasing the greenhouse gas emission, because green open space has an ability to absorbing the CO2 emission. The purpose of this research is to find out the potential of absorption capacity of CO2 by the pbulic’s green open space and to analyze the level of absoption of CO2 by green open space from transportation activity. The method in this research is calculate the value of CO2 emissions and counting the trees whcih has diameters more than 20 centimeter. The sufficiency of green open space was analyze and then compared the absorbing power of CO2 by trees with number of CO2 emissions that produced. Sukajadi district is produced the CO2 emissions from transportation which is high enough as much as 51.212.465 ton CO2/year. While the ability of CO2 absorption by the public’s green open space in Sukajadi district only 6.456,68 ton CO2/year. The public’s green open space in Sukajadi district thet viewed of absorbing CO2 emissions of transportation is still not enough with percentage is only about 0,0126%.Keywords : Green Open Space, CO2 emissions, and Greenhouse Gas

Abstract

Tampan District doesn’t have a facility construction faecal sludge treatment plan so that the septic tank draining directly discharges to open lands. Based on Permen PU No. 01/PRT/M/2014 Tampan District already complete the minimum services standards of a faecal sludge treatment plan was planned to solve the faecal sludge problem in four subdistrict in Tampan District. Processing system that is applied is physically processing by sludge seperation chamber (SSC) to separate solids from faecal sludge at the beginning of processing, SSC are provided 4 bath processing efficiency for BOD 35% and TSS 85%. Subsequent processing in biology by the 2 units of anaerobic baffle reactor (ABR) each of which consists of five compartments, 2 units ABR processing efficiency for BOD 95% and 85%, TSS is 85% and 80%. the Characteristics of faecal sludge before processing BOD 6,400 mg/l and TSS 29,900 mg/l. t Effluents water from the faecal sludge processing already met the standard based on Permen LH No. 5 in 2014 with a value of BOD 36 mg / liter and the value of TSS 155 mg / liter.Keywords: Subdistrict Tampan, Faecal Sludge, IPLT, Sludge Separation Chamber (SSC), Anaerobic Baffle Reactor (ABR).

Abstract

Development Region I is an area that has the potential to be producer of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from transportation activities in Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted to find out the number of motorized vehicles and the value of CO2 emissions produced every day and the value of absorption ability in Development Area I from CO2 emissions transportation activities. The method used is recording traffic activities to calculate the value of number of motorized vehicles. The results of the research, obtained the number of motorized vehicles of CO2 emissions on Development Region I which has 60.333 motorized. Keywords : Carbon Dioxide Emissions,Development Region I

Abstract

Waste is the residue of human activities that form of solid waste. Waste needs to be managed to avoid having a negative impact. One effort to manage a waste is to make the transportation of waste. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the transport of waste and to make plans regarding the transport of waste in the Sukajadi District. Result of this research shows that dump truck that do not doing sweeping and focus on hauling the waste on x, sothe hauling waste can be short and it will increase the amount of waste being transported.Calculating data indicate that waste hauling is effective but it unproductive Productivity of waste hauling activities can be seen at off-route value. Average score off route That value falls below the range of productive waste hauling values. X. The plan is to change the route of waste hauling. Vehicles that changes routes are SHI 31 Rit I and SHI 45 Rit II.the route from the these vehicle was re-planed because it took a long route, thus spending considerable time on the road. Abstract

Topang Village is the only village in Meranti Regency whose territory is on one island. The source of clean water used by the people of Topang Village for drinking and cooking needs is water produced from rain harvesting, but the rainwater harvesting system in Topang Village is less effective and still uses traditional methods. Supported by the Raincyle Standard v2.0 program based on the roof's drip line which forms the boundary of the catchment area as well as water needs based on the number of family members of each type of house. Rainfall parameters have an influence on quantitative harvesting of individual scale rainwater obtained from hail Rain Cycle v2.0 to meet raw water needs in Topang Village, Rangsang District, Meranti Island District can use 2 tanks can contribute water the fulfillment of raw water needs with Catchment Area of 49 m2. Abstract

Pekanbaru City as the capital city of Riau Province has increase in population especially in development area V (WP V). It was followed by an increase in the number of vehicles as a transportation and affect the amount of CO2 emissions generated from each vehicles. Green Open Space (RTH) is one of solution in order to handling the increasing of emissions because by absorb CO2 gas emissions. This research was conducted to determine the amount of motorized vehicles and the value of CO2 emissions produced each day, as well as the value of the ability of the green space absorption of CO2 emissions. The method used is recording traffic activities to calculate the amount of CO2 emissions and calculate all public green open space with a type of vegetation cover in the form of grasslands and trees that have a diameter of ≥ 20 cm, and the percentage of green space absorption. Research results obtained, namely the value of CO2 emissions from transportation in Pekanbaru Development Area V amounted to 595.029,20 tons of CO2 / year. While the ability to absorb CO2 by public green space in the Pekanbaru Development Area V is only 24.806,82 tons of CO2 / year. The results of the analysis show that public green open space in the Development Area V Pekanbaru in terms of absorption of CO2 emissions from transportation is still not enough with a percentage of only 3,72 %. Power absorption of green space is planned to reduce all CO2 emissions from transportation activities in Pekanbaru Development Area V, which is 869.365,529 tons of CO2 / year. Abstract

The country of Indonesia is ranked second in the world for producing plastic waste, so the use of plastic waste must be carried out. The use of plastic waste as an additive in asphalt mixtures can improve the quality of asphalt concrete pavement and also reduce plastic waste. This study aims to determine the effect of adding plastic waste to the characteristics of modified asphalt layer AC-BC (Asphalt Concrete-Binder Course). The research was carried out in an experimental laboratory with the type of plastic used PP the percentage addition of plastic content was 0%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%, and 6% by weight of asphalt. The results showed that the addition of plastic had increase the softening point of asphalt and decrease the penetration value of asphalt.Keywords: modified asphalt, marshall characteristics, laston AC-BC, plastic

Abstract

Sistem proteksi kebakaran digunakan untuk mendeteksi dan memadamkan kebakaran sedini mungkin dengan menggunakan peralatan yang digerakkan secara manual dan otomatis. Laboratorium Teknik Mesin Fakultas Teknik Universtias Riau merupakan salah satu bangunan yang memiliki potensi akan terjadinya kebakaran,  jika tidak memiliki sistem proteksi kebakaran yang memadai. Laboratorium tersebut memiliki mesin-mesin  yang  jika  tidak  dikelola  dengan baik akan menjadi pemicu terjadinya kebakaran. Menurut Badan  Litbang  Pekerjaan Umum, 2005 tentang Pemeriksaan  Keselamatan  Kebakaran  Gedung, setiap gedung  memiliki  4  komponen  utilitas,  yaitu Kelengkapan Tapak, Sarana Penyelamatan, Sistem Proteksi Aktif, dan Sistem Proteksi Pasif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan survei kondisi eksisting dan mencari data kepada kelembagaan atau instansi terkait. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penerapan Sistem Proteksi Kebakaran di Fakultas Teknik Universitas Riau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode  deskriptif  kuantitatif  dengan  desain studi kasus, hasil penelitian yang kemudian diolah dan dianalisis untuk diambil kesimpulannya. Penilaian kondisi keseluruhan sistem proteksi kebakaran Laboratorium Teknik Mesin Fakultas Teknik Universitas Riau yaitu sebesar 72.5%. Menurut Pemeriksaan Keselamatan Kebakaran Bangunan Gedung tahun 2005 menunjukan bahwa kondisi sistem proteksi kebakaran pada bangunan Laboratorium Teknik Mesin Fakultas Teknik Universitas Riau dalam kondisi cukup. Dengan kondisi yang ada ini diharapkan sistem proteksi dapat berfungsi dengan baik saat dibutuhkan bila sewaktu-waktu terjadi bahaya kebakaran.

Abstract

Transportation problems are a problem that is often faced by developed countries and developing countries such as Indonesia, both in the fields of urban transportation and inter-city transportation. The high growth rate of motorized vehicles, on the one hand, can encourage economic growth, but on the other hand it can cause environmental impacts including congestion and noise. The increase in the flow of vehicles in the city of Pekanbaru is not only seen in the middle of the city but can be seen in the Districts of Rumbai and Rumbai Pesisir which are development areas (WP) II and WP III caused by densities of settlements in the two regions as well as several private universities such as the Caltex Riau Polytechnic (PCR), Lancang Kuning University (UNILAK), recreational areas, markets and other shopping centers. The method used manual traffic counting is to use a manual counter tool and survey form sheets to calculate the number of vehicles passing directly at the research location. The results showed that the highest number of vehicles on the three roads that became the vehicle research sample in WP II and WP III based on peak times namely on Yossudarso Road occurred on Monday afternoon at 40,105 SMP / day, School Roads occurred on Saturday Afternoon at 36,363 SMP / day, and on Jalan Tegalsari the highest number of vehicles occurs on Monday Morning at 5,161 SMP / day. Abstract

The increasing amount of transportation has a negative impact in the form of air pollution. One of the mass transportation that is often used in Pekanbaru City is the Trans Metro Bus. The purpose of this study was to analyze the passengers who switched or shifted from private vehicles to the Trans Metro Pekanbaru. Lemeshow method to determine the number of research samples with a questionnaire to passengers who switch or shift to Trans Metro Pekanbaru. The results of this study are the characteristics of respondents based on the highest age Pekanbaru, namely age 21-30 years as much as 36.67%, the characteristics of respondents based on the highest sex male sex as much as 52.5%, the characteristics of respondents based on the highest occupation, namely private employees and civil servants as much as 30.83%, the characteristics of respondents based on the highest travel destination, namely schools as much as 35.83%, and the characteristics of respondents based on the transition of private vehicles to Trans Metro Pekanbaru the highest, namely motorbikes as many as 88 vehicles with a percentage of 73 , 33%.Keywords: Mass transportation, Trans Metro Pekanbaru
