Abstract

This research uses a quantitative research type of quasi experiment by using one variable to know the learning outcomes, namely, affective, cognitive and psychomotor, which aims to determine the effect and differences in visual learning media and conventional learning media on learning outcomes. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that shows that citizenship education (PKn) learning with visual learning media is better than conventional learning media. There are differences in student learning outcomes after using with visual learning media in the subjects of Civics Class VII A MTs Al Jaly.

Abstract

Family folder is a kind of record-keeping, based on existing areas health facility is located. Storage shelves medical records will be grouped by the name of the existing area. In the medical record storage shelves in primary health Guntung Payung still visible several medical record folders placed in storage shelves that are not in the region should be so the purpose of this research was to know the implementation of the family folder for outpatient medical records in the primary health center Guntung Payung in 2016. The research method using descriptive survey. The unit of analysis of this research that medical records outpatient primary health center Guntung Payung with family folder. Based on the research results, primary health enter Guntung Payung using medical records for data recording and using family folder shaped the form used is BPJS participant statements sheets, the registration sheets and status of the patient sheets. The use of outpatient form primary health centers Guntung Payung not in accordance with Decree No. 269 / Menkes / Per/III / 2008 article 3 poin (1). The numbering system of medical records in the primary health center Guntung Payung is using a numbering system unit. Medical record number assigned use a manual system that is use the registry book. The numbering system of medical records in the primary health center Guntung Payung consists of 8 digits medical record number. Numbering of medical records in the primary health center Guntung Payung is not in accordance with the Budi (2011) that has not been used 6 digits medical record number and the using area code is not in accordance with IFHIMA (2012). Medical records storage system in primary health center Guntung Payung where there are 5 areas primary health center Guntung Payung so that each region has a code of each storage shelves. The storage system in primary health center Guntung Payung complies with Budi (2011) that is using the storage system where storage area medical records will be grouped based on the name of the region but the alignment system of medical records at the storage shelves by using straight numbers in the category of index numbers of medical records).

Abstract

Motor operating temperature at wells equipped with Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) need to be monitored to maintain ESP performance run life. Not all producer wells equipped with temperature sensor, so it considered necessary to build mathematic model to estimate motor operating temperature. Model of heat transfer to predict motor operating temperature is developed based on empirical equation method. Parameter and variable data obtained from producer wells include water cut, viscosity, specific gravity, operating temperature, ampere and voltage. Procedure to calculate viscosity is ASTM D-88 and procedure to calculate specific gravity is ASTM D-5002. From 18 wells data obtained from the field, calculated reynolds numbers indicate turbulent flow regime with reynold numbers more than 4,000. Nusselt number were calculated using multiple linear regression with result of Nu = 0.06 * Re0.65 * Pr0.36 with error of 1.3% from downhole sensor measurement. The comparison with similar research also provided that use different Nusselt number empirical equation. The conclusion from the research showing that empirical approach by using specific constants to predict Nusselt number can be used to predict more accurate heat transfer coefficient with error 1.3%. Higher water cut fluid flow need lower fluid velocity to achieve motor operating temperature below motor limit temperature with fluid velocity above 0.3 m/s.

Abstract

Karet alam dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai aditif aspal, baik dalam bentuk lateks, cup lump, dan karet padat (crumb rubber, block skim rubber, dan lain-lain). Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari pengaruh penambahan crepe rubber dan antioksidan 1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethyl-quinoline (TMQ) terhadap karakteristik Marshall. Karet alam mentah dalam bentuk cup lump digiling menggunakan creeper hingga didapatkan crepe rubber dengan dry rubber content >95%, lalu dimastikasi menggunakan open mill. Selanjutnya, crepe rubber dilelehkan pada 200 °C sebelum dicampur dengan aspal pada 165 °C. Kadar crepe rubber dalam campuran aspal bervariasi, yaitu 8, 10, dan 12% (b/b). Selama proses pencampuran ditambahkan antioksidan TMQ dengan kadar 1%, 2%, 3% (b/b). Sampel aspal karet diuji karakteristik Marshall sesuai ASTM D6927. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan penambahan crepe rubber meningkatkan stabilitas aspal dalam menahan beban. Hasil optimum diperoleh dengan perlakuan 10% crepe rubber, 2% TMQ, dan 5,50% aspal, dimana memiliki stabilitas Marshall 1.403,96 kg, VFA 75,90%, VIM 3,07%, VMA 15,34%, flow 3,370 mm, dan MQ 416,605 kg/mm.

Abstract

Contemporarily, Indonesia and Malaysia are the largest contributors of crude palm oil (CPO) in the world by up to 40%, and 37.3%, respectively. Furthermore, its production value this year reached 19.7 million tons, where each generates 2.5 m3 of wastewater. Meanwhile, of all the provinces in Indonesia specifically, Riau is the largest supplier for exports by up to 38%, generated from 225 palm oil mills, where a total of 6.3 million tons resulting in the generation of about 15.75 million m3 of wastewater, with organic content between the range of 30,000-60,000 mg COD/l. In addition, one of the uses of this wastewater includes anaerobic processes, with the double benefit of reducing COD concentrations, subsequently applying it as fertilizer, and also in the production of methane gas, as an alternative source of energy. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to observe the effect of bioreactor volume, scale-up on the performance of anaerobic hybrid bioreactors, in the treatment of mill effluents. The technology examined in this study was the anaerobic hybrid bioreactor with the dimensions of length 22 m, width 10 m, and depth 1.5 m, and a total volume of 330 m3, which is impermeable to oxygen, and a 250 m3 effective working volume. This was built and operated at a hydraulic retention time of 1 day, in the Palm Oil Mill of Riau, and the results showed the environmental conditions to range from a pH of 7.2 to 8.0, with temperatures from 320C to 350C, acetic acid of 774 mg/l to 1,180 mg/l, and alkalinity of 2,149 mg/l up to 2,400 mg/l. Furthermore, the performance of these reactors are shown by the highest COD removal efficiency of 77.8%, and a biogas test for the propensity of being applied as an alternative energy source obtained a methane gas concentration of 54%. Keywords: anaerobic, bioreactor, biogas, wastewater, performance, palm oil mill effluent

Abstract

Until 2009, Riau Province had lost more than four million hectares of forest. The loss of forest coverage was caused by several reasons, such as forest area converted into oil palm plantation (29%), converted into industrial forest (24%) and abandoned deforested land (17%) which was not replaced by any other plants. Up until 2016, Riau Province ranked first in oil palm plantation development with area of 2,430,508 hectares and total of 534,827 workers. The largest amount of replanting activity waste came from oil palm trunks. The treatments of oil palm trunks waste by burning as well as decomposing were considered wasteful and costly. This also leads to a massive carbon emission in the atmosphere, which would cause global warming. Currently, CO2 gas concentration is 40% higher compared to pre-industrial era mainly due to fossil fuel incineration and deforestation. This research aims to measure the dry weight and the amount of carbon and carbon dioxide stock within oil palm trunks waste, as a consideration in taking a policy on preventing and or reducing carbon released to the atmosphere. Oil palm trunks waste came from PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Persero (state-owned) plantation in Tandum, Riau Province. Data for measuring dry weight and the amount of carbon and carbon dioxide stock was taken randomly from three oil palm trunks. Every trunk was divided into three part (lumbers) which represent the base, middle, and top part of the trunk. Based on the research result, the weight of dry oil palm trunks averages 394.11 kg/tree or 50.45 ton/ha. Carbon stock on oil palm’s biomass averaging at 223.68 kg C/tree or 28.63 ton C/ha, equivalent to 104.97 ton CO2/ha of carbon dioxide stock. The dry weight and the amount of carbon and carbon dioxide in base trunk part are higher than the middle, and the middle part was higher than the top. This data indicates that the base part of the trunk contain the highest amount of biomass and carbon and carbon dioxide stock.

Abstract

Pembentukan karet vulkanisat secara umum dilakukan dengan penambahan filler yang dapat membantu memperbaiki sifat - sifat pada karet alam. Abu sawit yang termasuk limbah dapat digunakan sebagai filler pada karet alam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan model kinetika reaksi vulkanisasi karet alam dengan filler abu sawit yang sesuai. Model reaksi yang dipakai mengacu pada 3 model reaksi Ghosh et al [2003] yang telah dimodifikasi dengan variasi akselerator MBTS (0,5, 0,75, dan 1 phr), variasi sulfur (2 dan 4 phr), dan variasi suhu vulkanisasi (150 oC, 160 oC, 170 oC) dari alat analisa Moving Disk Rheometer (MDR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model kinetika reaksi proses vulkanisasi karet alam dengan filler abu sawit paling baik digambarkan dengan model 2, yaitu model dengan penambahan sulfur secara bertahap dengan mol crosslink vulkanisasi karet alam dengan filler abu sawit terbesar didapat dari sampel dengan konsentrasi sulfur 4 phr dan MBTS 0,75 phr pada suhu 150oC yaitu sebesar 80,523 mol/m3.Kata kunci: abu sawit, filler, karet, model kinetika, vulkanisasi.

Abstract

Karet alam merupakan salah satu komoditas terbesar di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengembanganteknologi terhadap komoditi-komoditi berbasis karet alam. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengamati pengaruh nisbahfiller abu sawit (ukuran direduksi)/carbon black dan temperatur pencampuran terhadap morfologi dan sifat kompositpolipropilena (PP)/karet alam (KA). Carbon black digunakan sebagai filler untuk meningkatkan properti karet alam.Variasi nisbah filler carbon black 0/100, 30/70, 50/50, 70/30 dan 100/0 dilakukan untuk menentukan nisbah filleroptimum. Pembuatan kompon karet menggunakan roll mill pada suhu ruang dan kecepatan putar 20 rpm. Vulkanisasidinamik dilakukan di dalam internal mixer dengan menggunakan variasi temperatur pencampuran 175 oC, 180oC, dan185oC. Kecepatan rotor internal mixer yang digunakan 60 rpm. Sifat mekanik dianalisa dengan Universal TestingMachine (UTM) dan morfologi campuran menggunakan Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Nisbah filler optimumdiperoleh pada nisbah filler carbon black 30/70 dengan temperatur optimum pencampuran pada temperatur 175oC. Sifatmekanik terbaik dihasilkan nilai tensile strength 2,4 MPa, elongation at break 14,9 % dan modulus elastis sebesar 71,6MPa.Kata Kunci : abu sawit, carbon black, karet alam, polipropilena (PP)

Abstract

Industri pulp di Riau menghasilkan 8,5 juta ton black liquor/tahun, merupakan biomassa dengan panas pembakaran 13,8 MJ/kg sehingga memiliki potensi untuk digunakan sebagai sumber energi alternatif dan terbarukan. Salah satu teknologi pengolahan black liquor adalah proses gasifikasi yang dapat menghasilkan gas bakar tipe medium. Penelitian ini mempelajari faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi proses gasifikasi black liquor menjadi gas sintesis, dengan melakukan simulasi proses dalam entrained flow gasifier menggunakan agen gasifikasi oksigen. Beberapa tahap yang dipergunakan untuk menunjukkan seluruh proses gasifikasi, yaitu dekomposisi/pirolisis black liquor, pembakaran zat volatile, gasifikasi arang/char dan pemisahan gas-padatan. Umpan black liquor yang digunakan dengan nilai ultimate (basis kering): 34,0% C; 3,2% H; 4,8% S; 35,8% O, 18,2% Na; 3,1% K; 0,1% N; dan nilai proksimat (basis kering): kadar air 19,3%; zat volatile 38,3%, fixed carbon 11,8%; abu 30,6%. Variabel penelitian: temperatur 600-1200oC, ER 0,2-0,5 dan tekanan 1-35 atm. Pada tekanan 10 atm dan ER 0,5, peningkatan temperatur 600 sampai 1200oC menyebabkan produk syngas bertambah (41,21-81,45%), mengurangi konversi CH4 (8,96-6,04%) dan CO2 (9,28-3,79%). Equivalent ratio berpengaruh terhadap temperatur proses gasifikasi, optimal antara 0,5. Menaikkan tekanan operasi gasifier tidak terlalu berpengaruh terhadap produk komposisi syngas, tetapi desain tekanan tinggi operasi untuk mempertimbangkan penggunaan alat yang lebih efektif dan efisien sehingga akan mengurangi biaya investasi, tekanan optimal adalah 10 atm.

Abstract

Cellulose is one of components that contained in palm frond fibers. Cellulose is a polymer which has a molecular average weight, polydispersity and has a long chain that is used as supporting material in manufacturing Wood Plastic Composite (WPC). The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of palm midrib cellulose content to the properties and morphology of WPC. WPC samples prepared by the method of melt blending the fibers of palm midrib (SPS), polypropylene (PP), Maleated polypropylene (MAPP), and paraffin for 1 hour at a temperature of 170 ° C and a rotor speed of 80 rpm using the Internal Mixer. The size of the palm frond fibers used are 40 mesh with the composition of the SPS / PP is 50/50 and 30/70. While the ratio comparison MAPP / cellulose is 0%, 2% and 5% and the cellulose of 41.86%, 52.86% and 56.24%. The test includes testing of the mechanical properties are tensile strength and flexural strength, while physical properties include density, moisture content, water absorption and thickness swelling. Test of morphology using a scanning electron microscopy. The test results showed that the best mechanical properties resulting in a ratio SPS / PP 50/50, cellulose MAPP 0% and 56.24%, with a tensile strength of 10.1 MPa and 27.0 MPa flexural strength. While the physical properties testing are the highest density of 1.511 gr/cm3, best absorption at 0.05%, the water content of 0.01% and a thickness swelling of 0.05%.Keywords: maleated polypropylene, morphology, polypropylene, cellulose, wood plastic composite
