Abstract

The emergence of the Islamic banking Industry in Indonesia up to now has not escaped from challenges and problems, among the main ones is how Islamic banks are leading the market share by increasing customer interest in using Islamic banking services. Quantitative methods were used in this research with a sample of 100 respondents of Islamic bank customers who lived in a special region of Yogyakarta which was selected by using a purposive sampling approach, and multiple linear regression by using SMART PLS 2.0. applied as the tools of analysis. The result shows that financial literacy does not affect the interest in becoming Islamic customers. Meanwhile, digital marketing and accessibility do affect the interest in becoming Islamic bank customers. Then, age and education as moderating variables are not able to moderate financial literacy, digital marketing, on interest in becoming Islamic bank customers. The practical implications of this research suggest that marketers can make more informed decisions, such as intensifying promotional efforts on digital platforms and enhancing customer accessibility. Additionally, this study recommends further research to address the limitations by including cybersecurity perceptions as a moderating variable. By doing so, the research will be able to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.

Abstract

Sulistiani Arianti Putri, Dhidhin Noer Ady Rahmanto Universitas Alma Ata Yogyakarta 192100137@almaata.ac.id ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was conducted to find out and examine how effective the use of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) feature at Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP Godean 2 is to use it as a non-cash payment instrument. This type of research is included in field research, which means explaining and describing conditions and phenomena more clearly related to the situation that occurs, therefore the type of research used is a type of qualitative research through interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study were Branch Managers, Consumer Branch Relations Managers, Funding and Transaction Staff, Customer Service and customers who use QRIS BSI KCP Godean 2. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of using QRIS as a non-cash payment tool has been running effectively, this is evidenced with the fulfillment of 3 aspects of effectiveness (source approach, process approach and target approach). Meanwhile, the performance effectiveness of Islamic banks in implementing QRIS shows the fulfillment of two of the three approaches, namely the source approach and the process approach. For one other measure of effectiveness, it is considered that it cannot be fulfilled, namely the target approach because it cannot achieve the results or outputs that have been previously set. The cause of BSI KCP Godean 2 not achieving results or output was the lack of availability of Human Resources (HR). Even so, statements from customers regarding service quality are quite good and satisfying. Keywords: Effectiveness, Usage, Performance, Standard Indonesian Quick Response Code

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has negatively impacted various sectors, including health, the economy, and banking, leading to decreased purchasing power, weakened entrepreneurship, and threats to MSMEs. The Sharia Rural Banks (BPRS) complements other Sharia banks in Indonesia by meeting the community's financial needs in accordance with Sharia principles. Efficiency in banking serves as a key indicator to assess bank performance, determining whether a bank is operating effectively. Identifying the factors that influence efficiency in the banking sector is essential. This study employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive design, using secondary data from the BPRS annual financial reports for the first, second, third, and fourth quarters of 2023, obtained from the official OJK website. The research sample includes 20 BPRS in the Central Java and DIY Provinces, all registered with the OJK. The data was processed into input and output variables based on financial balance sheets and profit and loss statements. Analysis was conducted using the DEA Frontier Application with the Variable Return to Scale (VRS) model. Efficiency was measured on a scale from 0 to 1, where a score of 1 or 100% indicates full efficiency. This study, conducted online from May to July 2024, utilized annual financial report data sourced from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The findings reveal that the average operational efficiency of BPRS in Central Java across the four quarters was 0.881, while in DIY, it was 0.940, indicating that BPRS in DIY demonstrated higher operational efficiency compared to those in Central Java.

Abstract

As one of the largest food-producing nations, Indonesia faces challenges in meeting domestic demand, making sustainability in agriculture a critical issue. One major hurdle is the limited financial resources available to farmers, underscoring the necessity for accessible microfinance. Islamic Microfinance Institutions (IMFIs) offer financing based on Islamic principles, providing unique opportunities to support farmers. This study explores the role of IMFIs in promoting development and sustainability in Indonesia’s agricultural sector. A qualitative approach was employed, and interviews with key stakeholders were conducted to assess IMFIs' contributions to addressing financial constraints and fostering sustainable practices. The findings highlight the potential of IMFIs in enhancing agricultural entrepreneurship and supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The research results state that IMFIs has great potential to revolutionize financing in the agricultural sector, advancing SDG 1 (no poverty), SDG 2 (no hunger), and SDG 12 (responsible consumption and production). This research aims to guide IMFIs and policymakers in implementing effective strategies for sustainable development in agriculture.
