Abstract

Situs adalah daerah temuan benda-benda purbakala. Salah satu situs budaya Sunda adalah Situs Karangkamulyan terletak di Kecamatan Cijeungjing, Kabupaten Ciamis. Situs Karangkamulyan merupakan situs cerita Ciungwanara dari masa Hindu-Buddha. Banyak terdapat tinggalan-tinggalan kebudayaan kuno di situs ini. Ragam peninggalan yang terdapat dalam situs ini merupakan kekayaan budaya lokal yang merupakan bagian dari sejarah Kabupaten Ciamis. Kecenderungan masyarakat modern kini banyak melupakan warisan kearifan-kearifan budaya lokal tersebut, terutama warisan dari cara berpikir lokal yang memiliki nilai terbaik yang merupakan norma masyarakatnya. Maka perlu ditelusuri dan diteliti bagaimana kearifan lokal dari masyarakat kuno Ciamis melalui hasil peninggalan sejarah masa lalunya. Salah satunya melalui budaya rupa/ visual yang ditinggalkannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji makna filosofis kearifan lokal budaya masyarakat Indonesia kuno di wilayah Ciamis dengan fokus penelitian benda-benda rupa yang terdapat di Situs Karangkamulyan. Penelitian ini menganalisis perkembangan seni rupa Indonesia daerah Kabupaten Ciamis dilihat dari tinggalan situs Karangkamulyan berkaitan dengan pengaruh Hindu-Budha sebagai dasar pengetahuan guna pengembangan wawasan budaya dalam rangka menelusuri identitas kearifan lokal seni rupa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik, pendekatan kualitatif, dan desain penelitian menggunakan penelitian etnografi. Hasil penelitian terdapat sekitar delapan buah benda seni rupa yang memiliki bentuk berupa tatanan batu-batu bujur sangkar atau segi empat dengan batu berdiri dan batu pipih terhampar. Pada dasarnya ada dua jenis bentuk, yakni segi empat dan lingkaran, batu berdiri dan batu pipih terhampar di tanah dan memiliki makna filsafat.

Abstract

Puppet is a legacy of the past that has been tradition until now. Although in its development, wayang experienced changes as innovations to maintain it, but there were fixed structures that did not change, such as the form of the puppet itself, how to perform it, the structure of the gamelan, its suluk-suluk, philosophy and others. One of the Javanese shadow puppets called gunungan has many symbols of visual values ??that can be observed and interpreted as the noble heritage of traditional values. This article outlines the analysis of the visual meaning of the Javanese shadow puppet views from the point of view of the symbol of Tribuwana or Tiga Dunia, Up, Down, Middle.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and describe the process of making pandanus woven pandanus handicraft production of Handycraft Workshop in Sukaruas Rajapolah Tasikmalaya Creative Village, the types produced, and analyzing the form of pandanus woven bag handicraft. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data obtained is by observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The main instrument in this study was the researcher himself used aids in the form of interviews, field notes, and a recording device in the form of a cellphone. To test the validity of the data obtained, the validity of the data technique is used in the form of an extension of participation, perseverance of observation, and triangulation. Data analysis techniques by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.The results showed that: (1) The process of making pandanus woven bags in the Family Handycraft Workshop is divided into two techniques, namely: the process of making with a sewing machine and the process of making by hand manually. The manufacturing process includes: preparation of staples, namely making woven pandanus mats done outside the company, the process of determining the design and idea of ??a bag, then the process of assembling or producing a bag using a manual sewing machine and hand. (2) Types of bags produced include: Hand Bag covers, ribbon bags, material combination bags, simple bags and braid bags, Clutch, Sling Bags, Tote Bags and Shopping Bags. (3) The results of the analysis prove that the types of bags in the Handycraft Family Workshop are very diverse in shapes, colors, and motifs, the forms produced include trapezoid, rectangular, square, and round, colors produced from natural dyes including natural colors (without Colorant) red, purple, black, white, yellowish, brown and green pistil. The types of decorations that are applied are very diverse, namely the geometric variations such as triangles, twists, swastikas or banji, and circles or kawung motifs. Non-geometric motifs include flora and fauna motifs, and a combination of both.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil pengaruh kegiatan bermain pasir kinetik terhadap kemampuan menulis lambang bilangan anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 1 bulan dengan sampel penelitian yaitu anak kelas B1 di TK Negeri Pembina. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pra-eksperimen tipe One grup pratest posttest. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dari data tes, observasi dan dokumentasi dengan rangkaian penelitian berupa pratest, treatmen, posttest, pengolahan data, analisis data deskriptif dan inferensial sampai disajikan data hasil penelitain. Hasil penelitian ini memuat kemampuan awal dengan rata-rata hasil pratest yaitu 34,166 berada pada interval kategori tinggi dan sangat tinggi, data kemampuan akhir rata-rata hasil postest yaitu 37,166 semua berada pada interval kategori sangat tinggi dan terdapat perbedaan dari hasil pratest dan posttest dengan taraf signifikansi 0,024 kurang dari 0,05 serta dilihat dari hasil rata-rata pratest 34,166 dan posttest 37,166 yang menunjukan terdapat peningkatan keamampuan menulis lambang bilangan anak kelas B di TK Negeri Pembina. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kegiatan bermain pasir kinetik terhadap kemampuan menulis lambang bilangan anak 5-6 tahun. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of extracurricular STEAM robotic coding in training problem-solving skills for young children at Joy Kids National Plus Tasikmalaya Kindergarten. This type of research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through direct data collection at the research location. Data was obtained through literature study, observation, interviews with teachers, and documentation studies. Data analysis uses descriptive. The research results show that the process of implementing STEAM robotic coding learning includes the stages of child conditioning, apperception and provocation. The type of coding used is unplugged coding as the activity is able to provide stimulus to children in observing, recognizing and understanding the meaning of the commands contained in the circuit including direction and sequence. Through extracurricular robotic coding, STEAM can facilitate early childhood problem-solving skills by demonstrating skills in observing objects (observation), gathering information (collecting), processing information (Analyzing), and communicating information (communicating).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze musical errors in the choir performance of SDN 2 Sukamanah, Tasikmalaya, when singing the national mandatory song Mengheningkan Cipta. This topic is important because mandatory songs carry educational and symbolic values that should be understood from the elementary level. The method used is content analysis with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through direct observation and video recordings, then analyzed both auditorily and notationally. The results revealed several musical deviations, such as pitch inaccuracies, inappropriate use of vocal ornamentation, application of staccato techniques not present in the original score, and alterations in note values that disrupted the rhythmic structure. These deviations reflect a habit of free interpretation that has developed in the school environment but is not in harmony with the solemn character of the song. This study emphasizes the importance of proper musical education so that students can understand and express national mandatory songs both musically and contextually in accordance with the values they convey.

Abstract

The golden age (0–5 years) is a critical period for children's growth and development, so early detection of malnutrition and the risk of growth failure is crucial to prevent long-term impacts. This study aims to explore the urgency of routine monitoring of early childhood nutritional status and identify risk factors for growth failure. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach with field observation techniques on 40 children aged 0–72 months at the Ciroyom Integrated Health Post (Posyandu), Tasikmalaya. Data were collected through anthropometric measurements, parent interviews, and developmental examinations using the Pre-Screening Development Questionnaire (KPSP), hearing, and vision tests. The results showed that some children experienced stunting and wasting, as indicated by z-scores below WHO standards. Causal factors include a lack of parental nutritional knowledge, suboptimal parenting patterns, unhygienic environments, and recurrent infections. The conclusion of this study confirms that routine monitoring through Posyandu and comprehensive growth and development detection are essential as early intervention strategies to prevent growth failure in early childhood. Abstract

This study aims to analyze differences in tempo sensitivity among elementary school students in rural and urban areas using the Carl Orff approach through body percussion techniques. Tempo sensitivity is a vital component in music education that supports the development of motor coordination, concentration, and structured thinking. The research employed a comparative experimental method without a control group, involving 44 fifth-grade students from both rural and urban settings. Data were collected using musical skill tests and analyzed through normality and Mann-Whitney tests. The results indicate a significant difference between the rural and urban student groups (significance value 0.009 < 0.05), suggesting that socio-cultural environments influence the development of tempo sensitivity. Urban students demonstrated higher tempo awareness, possibly due to greater exposure to music and popular culture, while rural students faced limitations in musical resources and expressive freedom. These findings highlight the importance of culturally responsive pedagogical approaches in elementary music education.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of three-dimensional (3D) art activities using playdough on the creativity development of children aged 5–6 years. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group was employed, involving 20 children who were evenly divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through observation using a validated creativity assessment instrument that measured fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The experimental group participated in several sessions of 3D art activities with playdough, while the control group received conventional learning without playdough. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Mann–Whitney U test, and N-Gain calculation. The results revealed a significant increase in creativity scores in the experimental group compared to the control group (p = 0.000). The experimental group achieved an N-Gain score in the medium category, while the control group was in the low category. These findings suggest that 3D art activities with playdough are effective in enhancing children’s creativity by stimulating divergent thinking, strengthening fine motor skills, and fostering self-confidence. The study recommends integrating playdough-based art activities into early childhood education curricula to optimize children’s creative potential.
