Abstract

Background: Patient satisfaction on health service quality are comparisonbetween patient perception before receiving service and after service received. High patient satisfaction will be achieved if the patient’s expectation before receiving the service is fulflled. Patient’s expectations will be fulflled if the services provided exceed quality, therefore, patient satisfaction is key marker of the quality health service. This aims of this study was to determine the description level of patient satisfaction to health services quality on Dental Polyclinic at Puri Raharja General Hospital.Method: This study was a quantitative descriptive study with cross-sectional research design. The sampling method used was consecutive sampling with total sample 66 respondents. The datas were collected using questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability to determine patient satisfaction level to health service quality in fve SERVQUAL dimension: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy.Result: The results showed 57 respondent (86,4%) satisfed with the quality of health services provided. In each dimension, the majority of respondents were satisfed except in the tangibles dimension.Conclusion: Majority of patients who visited Dental Polyclinic at Puri Raharja General Hospital satisfed with the service given, except in the tangibles dimension, where 48,5% patient were unsatisfed

Abstract

Background: Enterococcus faecalis is a specific bacteria that is often encountered in a high percentage of about 77% in cases of failure in root canal treatment. Current treatment of infection Enterococcus faecalis is done by using antibacterial drugs made from synthetic. Flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, terpenoids, and tannins are bioactive components that can be found in some species of plants that have an antibacterial effect, such as in the onion skin. Aim: This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of onion skin extract (Allium ascalonicum) in inhibiting the growth of Enterococcus faecalis bacteria. Method: Experimental laboratories design by in vitro using broth macrodilution method. The research were performed using onion skin extracts with concentrations 12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 100%. Result: The results after three times replication showed the number of bacterial colonies in each intervention group, positive control, sterility group of media, sterility group of extract is 0 CFU and the number of colonies in negative control group is more than 100.000 CFU. Conclusion: The onion skin extract (Allium ascalonicum) was effective in inhibiting the growth of Enterococcus faecalis bacteria with minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) is 12.5% ​​and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) is 12.5%. Latar Belakang: Enterococcus faecalis merupakan bakteri spesifik yang sering dijumpai dalam persentase yang tinggi yaitu sekitar 77% pada kasus-kasus kegagalan pada perawatan saluran akar. Sampai saat ini, pengobatan infeksi bakteri Enterococcus faecalis dilakukan dengan menggunakan obat-obatan antibakteri berbahan sintetis yang memiliki efek samping yang tinggi terhadap jaringan tubuh. Flavonoid, alkaloid, saponin, terpenoid, dan tanin merupakan komponen bioaktif yang dapat ditemukan pada beberapa jenis spesies tanaman yang memiliki efek sebagai antibakteri, salah satunya pada kulit bawang merah. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ekstrak ekstrak kulit bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum) efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Enterococcus faecalis. Metode penelitian: Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental labolatorik in-vitro dengan dengan metode penelitian menggunakan metode broth macrodilution. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan konsentrasi ekstrak bawang merah 12,5%, 25%, 50%, dan 100%. Hasil : Hasil penelitian setelah dilakukan replikasi sebanyak tiga kali menunjukkan jumlah koloni bakteri pada masing-masing kelompok intervensi, kontrol positif, kelompok sterilitas media, kelompok sterilitas ekstrak yaitu 0 CFU dan jumlah koloni pada kelompok kontrol negatif yaitu lebih dari 100.000 CFU. Kesimpulan: Ekstrak kulit bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum) efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Enterococcus faecalis dengan Konsentrasi Hambat Minimal (KHM) sebesar 12,5% dan Konsentrasi Bunuh Minimal (KBM) sebesar 12,5%.
