Abstract

 ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan guna meningkatkan kemampuan penggunaan dan pemanfaatan set eksperimen Komponen Instrumen Terpadu (KIT) IPA untuk penggalian konsep-konsep dasar Fisika siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis eksperimen. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan di SMPN 2 Sekotong Kabupaten Lombok Barat, dengan peserta guru-guru Fisika dan siswa-siswa kelas 8. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah direct instruction, cooperative learning dan diskusi. Adapun set eksperimen yang digunakan adalah KIT IPA untuk materi Mekanika, Panas dan Hidrostatistika, Optik, dan Listrik Magnet. Pada kegiatan ini peserta memperoleh pengetahuan tentang metode pembelajaran berbasis eksperimen dan keterampilan merakit serta memodifikasi KIT IPA yang dapat digunakan untuk mendukung pembelajaran Sains. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran Sains akan menjadi pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan diharapkan meningkatkan minat dan prestasi belajar siswa. Kata kunci: KIT; konsep fisika; eksperimen; ketrampilan; minat belajar. ABSTRACTThis community service activity is carried out to improve the ability to use the IPA Integrated Instrument Components (IIC) experimental set to explore the student basic concepts of physics through experiment-based learning. This activity was carried out at SMPN 2 Sekotong West Lombok Regency with participants from physics teachers and 8th-grade students. The method that used is direct instruction, cooperative learning and discussion. The experimental set used is the IPA IIC for the materials of Mechanics, Heat and Hydrostatic, Optics, and Magnetic Electricity. In this activity, participants gain knowledge about experimental based learning methods and skills of assembling and modifying science KITs that can be used to support science learning. Thus, science learning will be fun learning and it is expected to increase student interest and learning achievement. Keywords: IIC; physics concept; experiment; skills; learning interest.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDalam kurun waktu yang cukup lama, bagi sebagian siswa di sekolah beranggapan bahwa pelajaran Fisika dan Matematika merupakan pelajaran yang sulit. Kedua mata pelajaran ini merupakan momok bagi siswa di kebanyakan sekolah, tidak saja di daerah Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) tetapi juga di berbagai daerah lain di seluruh Indonesia. Untuk itu berbagai upaya perlu dilakukan untuk  mengatasi permasalahan kesulitan belajar tersebut. Tidak sedikit guru mengeluhkan rendahnya kemampuan siswanya terutama pada pemahaman konsep-konsep dasar  Fisika dan juga Matematika. Ada banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi hal ini, salah satunya adalah faktor input (siswa). Siswa yang berasal dari berbagai sekolah berbeda memiliki tingkat pemahaman yang berbeda pula, baik dalam bidang Fisika maupun Matematika. Atas dasar kondisi yang heterogen inilah penulis mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa pemantapan pemahaman konsep-konsep dasar Fisika dan Matematika bagi guru dan juga siswa sebagai bekal awal mereka dalam mengkaji materi selanjutnya secara lebih mendalam, terutama di sekolah luar kota. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 2 Sekotong Lombok Barat. Secara umum dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman para guru pada konsep-konsep dasar Fisika maupun Matematika, sehingga diharapkan guru dapat menerapkan pemahamannya itu dalam membelajarkan permasalahan-permasalahan yang lebih kompleks kepada siswanya. Kata kunci: pendampingan, konsep dasar, fisika, matematika, MGMP ABSTRACTIn a long period of time, for some students at school assume that physics and mathematics lessons are difficult subjects. On the basis of this heterogeneous condition, the writer conducted community service activities in the form of strengthening understanding of the basic concepts of Physics and Mathematics for teachers and also students as their initial provisions in studying further material in more depth, especially in schools outside the city. This dedication activity was carried out at SMPN 2 Sekotong West Lombok. In general it can be concluded that this activity can increase the understanding of teachers on the basic concepts of Physics and Mathematics, so it is expected that teachers can apply their understanding in learning more complex problems to their students. Keywords: assistance, basic concepts, physics, mathematics, MGMP

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan bibit Eucheuma cottonii dari habitat aslinya di perairan Teluk Ekas dan menangkarkan bibit tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Teluk Ekas Lombok Timur Nusa Tenggara Barat. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode ekplorasi di perairan Teluk Ekas serta mendeskripsikan hasil pengamatan. Eucheuma cottonii yang berhasil di temukan dan di ekslporasi dari perairan Teluk Ekas, memiliki ciri morfologi lebih banyak memiliki bakal talus sehingga tampak sebagai duri-duri pada thalus. Talus keras dan kaku serta berwarna coklat kehijauan. Eucheuma cottoniidijumpai menempel pada batuan dan karang yang berada pada kisaran kedalaman 1 meter sampai dengan 1,5 meter. Eucheuma cottoniimenempel kuat pada subtrat sehingga sulit untuk diambil dengan tangan, harus menggunakan pisau atau alat pemotong lainnya. Eucheuma cottoniidapat ditangkarkan dan tumbuh dengan baik di perairan Teluk Ekas.  Kata kunci: Kappaphycus alvarezii, habitat, talus, karang, domestikasi  Abstract: The objective of this study was to obtain Eucheuma cottonii seeds from their natural habitat in Ekas Bay and breed these seeds. This research was conducted in Ekas Bay, Lombok Timur, Nusa Tenggara Barat. The method used in this study is the exploration method and description method. Eucheuma cottonii which has been found, has more morphological characteristics that have a talus so that it appears as thorns in the thalus. Talus is hard and stiff and has a greenish brown color. Eucheuma cottonii was found attached to rocks and corals which were in the range of 1 meter to 1.5 meters. Eucheuma cottonii sticks firmly to the substrate so that it is difficult to take by hand, must use a knife or other cutting tool. Eucheuma cottonii can be bred and grow well in Ekas Bay. Keywords : Kappaphycus alvarezii, habitat, talus, coral, domestication

Abstract

For a long period, some students in schools thought that Physics and Mathematics were difficult subjects. These two subjects are a scourge for students in most schools, not only in the NTB area but also in various other regions throughout Indonesia. For this reason, multiple efforts need to be made to overcome these learning difficulties. Learning Physics and Mathematics should emphasize providing direct experience to develop student competencies, directed to "find out" and "do" to help students gain understanding. It will be significantly easier for students if learning Physics and Mathematics invites students to learn to formulate concepts inductively, based on empirical facts, first through the inquiry method. Teachers are faced with the low necessary abilities of students. Not a few teachers have complained about their students' low abilities, especially in understanding the basic concepts of Physics and Mathematics. Many factors influence this, one of which is the input factor (students). Students from different schools have different levels of understanding, both in Physics and Mathematics. It is a fact that, in general, students who graduated from SMP / M.Ts. There are still many basic concepts of Physics and Mathematics which are relatively low. When comparing students who come from the city and out of town schools, public and private schools, they have quite significant differences in graduates' ability. This condition also contributes to the low quality of the input. Based on this condition, we hold community service activities to strengthen understanding of the basic concepts of Physics and Mathematics for students as their initial provision for studying other material in more depth. The approach used is an empirical approach with guided inquiry methods. The results obtained are that the learning method of this model is very popular with students and teachers, and with the help of Guided Inquiry-based worksheets, it is straightforward for students to improve their understanding of the basic concepts of physics and mathematics, because the guidance in the LKS is very structured.

Abstract

The evolution of quantum states on photons in linear optical systems has diverse applications, ranging from fundamental to advanced quantum optics experiments for quantum information processing. This research aims to develop a simulation algorithm that focuses on modeling optical elements as a way to study the behavior of quantum states in photons. An implementation of quantum computation with linear optics has been developed as part of the simulation in this research. The configuration of the quantum network is done by modeling optical components, such as beam splitters, phase shifters, and the relationships between their components through matrix representations. The measurement results are expressed in terms of probability distributions, taking into account the effects of the optical elements through which the photons are transmitted. The simulation is capable of performing calculations for basic quantum networks with certain initial quantum states. Through this simulation, we can define quantum networks and intuitively implement quantum algorithms using simple instructions.
