Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of professional competence and external motivation on the performance of vocational school teachers in Bandung. This study used instruments sourced from Permendiknas No. 16 of 2007 for variables of professional competence and teacher performance, while instruments for external motivation variables adapted from Fernet et al. (2008). The three instruments were distributed to 100 respondents for further testing the validity and reliability of the instrument to know the question items that met the instrument's validity and reliability requirements. The next process is to test data normality. After obtaining a valid and reliable instrument, as well as data that has been normally distributed, the following process is to perform a regression analysis for the variables of professional competence and external motivation variables on the performance variables of vocational teachers. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed the influence of professional competence and external motivation simultaneously on teacher performance by 39.9%.Keywords: professional competence, external motivation, teacher performance.

Abstract

The inception of this study can be traced back to the difficulties encountered by a cleaning service company located in Bandung. The challenges encompass diminished employee motivation and an unfavorable work environment, predominantly attributable to factors associated with human error. The concerns above had an adverse effect on the productivity of the employees. This study aims to assess the impact of motivation and work environment on the performance of employees. The employed research methodology entails a quantitative approach characterized by a descriptive and empirically verifiable framework. The sample population comprises 46 respondents employed in a company located in Bandung. In order to acquire corroborative data and information, primary data is utilized, which is directly gathered from employees of a cleaning service company located in Bandung. The statistical methodology utilized in this study is multiple linear regression. According to the study's findings, all statement items demonstrate validity and reliability, as indicated by correlation coefficients exceeding the predetermined threshold. Motivation exerts a substantial impact on the performance of employees. The work environment can also influence employee performance. Therefore, the present study demonstrates the influence of motivation and work environment on employee performance within a cleaning service company in Bandung.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between leadership and employee empowerment, particularly for female workers in financial institutions, which is designated by the government to address the challenges of gender inequality. By understanding the role of leaders who create a supportive culture, where female workers feel valued and motivated to contribute maximally, this situation impacts the improvement of quality of life and organizational growth (in microfinance institutions). The indicators used to measure variable X is Transformational Leadership, variable Y is Employee Empowerment, while variable Z is Quality of Life.  The research method used in this study is quantitative method, with data collection techniques employing questionnaires. Then the data are processed by using PLS-SEM. 266 respondents were sampled for the study, which was tested by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This analysis is used to determine whether there is a relationship between transformational leadership and quality of life through employee empowerment.  The results of the PLS-SEM analysis indicate that the coefficient calculation of Employee Empowerment on Quality of Life is significant, with a value of 0.296. Transformational Leadership on Employee Empowerment is also significant, with a value of 0.680. Transformational Leadership on Quality of Life is significant as well, with a value of 0.418. The model prediction criteria testing shows an R-square value of 0.462 and 0.431, indicating a reasonably good model. The f-square and Q²predict values also show positive values, along with the results of the PLS model prediction.

Abstract

This applied research and community service initiative addresses the critical issue of operational inefficiencies driven by human error within retail supply chains. To resolve this problem, the research team aims to identify the root causes of human error in the supply chain process and deliver actionable mitigation strategies tailored for the Fresh Bakery Division at PT Lotte Mart Indonesia, Bandung. The study employs a qualitative research methodology, mobilizing a collaborative team of university lecturers and students to gather field insights. The data collection process relies on semi-structured interviews and observations with corporate business actors and front-line operational executors who serve as key informants. The empirical findings reveal that specific communication gaps and manual entry steps trigger frequent PO discrepancies, which subsequently disrupt inventory flows. Based on these insights, this study provides structured protocols, digital double-check mechanisms, and targeted training interventions that effectively minimize human error.

Abstract

This paper addresses the operational challenges at PT KAI, Bandung, where fragmented material tracking and inefficient inventory scheduling frequently lead to maintenance delays and inflated holding costs for critical railway spare parts. To resolve these issues, this joint research and community service project aims to optimize the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system, thereby accelerating operational efficiency and safeguarding schedule punctuality. We adopted a qualitative research design, deploying a collaborative team of university lecturers and students to conduct in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analyses. We analyzed the qualitative data using thematic analysis and process mapping to evaluate how the optimized MRP framework impacts daily maintenance workflows. The results demonstrate that optimizing the MRP system drastically eliminates redundant inventory, shortens lead times for critical maintenance components, and significantly reduces operational waste. By establishing an integrated, data-driven scheduling workflow, PT KAI successfully minimized maintenance downtime and stabilized its supply chain.
