Abstract

Anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervous, and other unpleasant feelings. About one in three medical students worldwide experience anxiety. Anxiety experienced by students can make them suffer from insomnia. Insomnia is defined as a sleep disorder characterized by complaints of difficulty falling asleep, remaining asleep, and poor sleep quality. Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) is one of the exams that triggers anxiety in medical students. This study aims to determine the relationship between anxiety levels and the severity of insomnia among third semester students in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Warmadewa University in facing the OSCE in 2021. A cross-sectional study with correlational quantitative approach was conducted on the respondents (n = 111). The respondents was selected using purposive sampling method. The data was collected using self-data questionnaire, as well as Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS), and Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) questionnaires. The data obtained was analyzed using descriptive analysis, statistical analysis with Spearman Rank correlation analysis, and hypothesis testing with p-value on Sig (2-tailed) using SPSS software. The result shows that there is a positive correlation between the level of anxiety and the severity of insomnia with a moderate correlation strength (r=0.494) and statistically significant (p=0.001).

Abstract

Abstract

Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) is the rupture of the membranes before delivery. PROM occurs at 37 weeks gestation or more and PPROM occurs before 37 weeks gestation. One of the risk factors for PROM is infection that begins with the entry of bacteria into the intraamnion from the ascending urogenital tract or infection of systemic origin. Elevated leukocyte levels are a sign of infection. This study aims to determine the difference between maternal leukocyte levels of PROM and PPROM. The research design used was descriptive analytic method with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling method. Data were analyzed using the Saphiro Wilk test for normality and the Independent Sample T Test to compare the difference in the mean of the two different groups. The results of the Saphiro Wilk test obtained values of 0.107 and 0.086, respectively (P>0.05), which means that the data is normally distributed. The results of the independent sample t-test showed a significance value of p=0.008. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the number of leukocytes between PROM and PPROM at the Sanjiwani Regional General Hospital, Gianyar.

Work posture is the position of the body during work activities when interacting with work facilities in a work station. Musculoskeletal complaints are complaints regarding the skeletal muscle pains, from the lightest of complaints to the most severe. The aim of this study is to determine the correlation between work posture with MSDs on dentists in Saraswati Dental and Oral Hospital. This analytical research with cross sectional design was conducted on March-April 2022. A total of 60 respondents were selected for this study using simple random sampling method. The data was measured using Nordic Body Map (NBM) for MSDs and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) questionnaires for Work posture. The data were analyzed using SPSS 25. The results of the univariate analysis was showed as follow : the the risk of working posture and category of MSDs were 50 % (moderate) and 43.3 % (heavy), respectively while the bivariate was analyzed using the Spearman Rank test was showed the score of p < (0,05) with the score of r = 0,83. The conclusion could be drawn that there was an significantce correlation between work posture with MSDs. It was recommended that the working posture of dentist should be ergonomics approach.
