Abstract

It is possible to use the global decline in the Covid-19 epidemic as a trigger for the revival of Bali's tourism sector. Bali tourism includes a significant portion of water sports like surfing, diving, rafting, and swimming on beaches, lakes, and rivers. Swimming pools and other activities are available at amusement parks. One of the most common events in water tourism is almost drowning. There were 9 fatalities and 300 drowning instances in the Kuta beach area alone, according to the 2018 data. Because it is essential for tourist actors, especially those associated with water leisure, to acquire Basic Life Support (BLS) training, especially in saving drowning victims, the success of the rescue of drowning victims greatly depends on the speed and precision of administering BLS. The administration of the Quest San Denpasar Hotel, where Partners work, wishes to offer first aid training for accidents, particularly for drowning victims, as none of the hotel staff have ever had first aid training. Ten hotel staff members attended the training on October 29, 2022, at the Quest San Denpasar Hotel. The training provided is in the form of theory and practice of identifying drowning victims, activating the emergency system, evacuating victims from the waters to land, providing BLS, and sending victims to the nearest health facility. Before the training, a pre-test was carried out and afterward, a post-test was carried out, from the results of these tests it could be concluded that there was an increase in the participants' knowledge of 32%, and from BLS practice all participants were able to assist properly.

Abstract

[The Correlation Between BMI and Cardiorespiratory Endurance in FKIK UNWAR Student with Central Obesity] The Correlation Between BMI and Cardiorespiratory Endurance in FKIK Unwar Student with Central Obesity Cardiorespiratory endurance is the ability of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels in providing oxygen for muscle performance during rhythmic and sustained activity. Body Mass Index (BMI) is one of the factors that can affect the level of cardiorespiratory endurance. However, this measurement cannot measure the proportion of body fat as in someone with central obesity. A person with normal BMI can have a proportion of body fat > 30%, and if distributed as visceral fat will have a high association with cardiometabolic risk. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between BMI and cardiorespiratory endurance in Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Warmadewa University student with central obesity. The design of this study was observational analytic with cross sectional approach. This study was conducted on 60 students with central obesity. Body Mass Index was measured using equation body weight (kg)/the square of height (m), while the level of cardiorespiratory endurance was measured using Harvard Step Up Test. The data was analyzed by Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 18.0 for Windows program. The correlation between both variable were analyzed by Spearman correlation test. The results was showed as follow: the average score Weist Circumference, BMI and cardiorespiratory endurance were 91,0±8; 29.01±3.01; and 18.61±8.40, respectively and the correlations between both were negatif (p=000 and r=0.51). The conclusion could be drawn that there was significance correlation between BMI and cardiorespiratory endurance. It was recommended that the students with central obesity should be improved the physical activity regularly

Abstract

[The Relationship between Shoulder Width and Neck Length Ratio on Cardiorespiratory Endurance in TBM Baswara Prada Members] Cardiorespiratory endurace is the ability of the heart-lung system and muscles used to deliver oxygen during sustained physical activity. Cardiorespiratory endurance for each body type (somatotype) is generally different. Somatotype differences in this study included the ratio of shoulder width to neck length. This study aims to determine the relationship between the ratio of shoulder width and neck length to the cardiorespiratory endurance of TBM Baswara Prada members. The method of this study was observasional with analytical cross sectional. In this study, sampling was carried out using the non-probability sampling method with consecutive sampling techniques. This study was conducted on 70 student who are member of TBM Baswara Prada. This study used primary data through observation or direct observation of research subjects according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation statistical test with normally distributed data. The results were as follows: The average ratio biacromial width and neck length and cardiorespiratory endurance; 2.83+0.35; 59.25+11.91 respectively; and the relationship of both was strong negative significance (0.05) with a correlation coefficient (-0.720). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between the ratio of biacromial width and neck length with cardiorespiratory endurance which is negative and significant The present study is anticipated to enhance the caliber of TBM Baswara's human resources in selecting members with good cardiorespiratory endurance indicators by using the ratio of shoulder width to neck length.

Abstract

[The Relationship between Subcutaneous Body Fat and Physical Fitness Muscle Endurance in Students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Warmadewa University] Physical fitness is a collection of physical activities related to health or skills, where the level of fitness can be measured by certain physical tests. Muscular endurance is the ability of muscles to perform repeated contractions within a certain period of time. Fat content also has an important role in physical fitness, namely subcutaneous fat content. This is very necessary in daily activities, including medical students who need good physical fitness, especially when carrying out activities such as providing basic life support. This study aims to determine the relationship between subcutaneous fat levels and muscle endurance in students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Warmadewa University Batch 2021. This study used a correlational analytic research method with a cross-sectional study design. Subcutaneous fat content data was measured through measurements using a skinfold caliper which was carried out at four body locations, namely biceps, triceps, subscapula and suprailiac, while muscle endurance was measured using the sit up test and push up test. This study used a minimum sample size of 92 students who were taken using simple random sampling technique. Samples were analyzed using univariate analysis techniques and bivariate analysis using Spearman's test. The results showed that the correlation coefficient (r) was 0.395 (p=0.000) for the relationship between subcutaneous fat and muscle endurance sit-ups and the correlation coefficient (r) was 0.467 (p=0.000) for the relationship between subcutaneous fat content and muscle power. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between subcutaneous body fat and physical fitness and muscle endurance in students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Warmadewa University batch 2021. Abstract

Henti jantung merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian utama didunia. Sekitar 85% penderita penyakit kardiovaskuler meninggal akibat henti jantung.
