Abstract

Indonesia has one of the highest Maternal Mortality Ratios (MMR) in Asia and ranks third highest among nations in the ASEAN area. The Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) in Indonesia, as indicated by the 2015 SUPAS statistics, was 305 deaths per 100,000 live births. The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of companions supplement pills in increasing the hemoglobin levels of pregnant women. The study was carried out at the Rappokalling Makassar Community Health Center, employing a non-probability sampling method known as incidental sampling. The results of companions taking blood supplement tablets are effective on the hemoglobin levels of pregnant women with p value = 0.005, therefore, to increase the hemoglobin levels of pregnant women when health workers give blood supplement tablets, it is best to involve husband/family companions as supervisors of taking medication who have previously been educated by health workers.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest MMR in Asia and the 3rd highest in the ASEAN region. MMR in Indonesia, the 2015 SUPAS results were 305/100,000 live births. Pregnant women are declared anemic if hemoglobin (Hb) < 11 mg/L (1) . The Ministry of Health (2005) states that the impact that causes anemia in pregnant women is bleeding during childbirth, low birth weight (LBW) babies, suboptimal IQ, babies easily infected and easily suffering from malnutrition. Hemoglobin concentration and hematocrit during pregnancy. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the HB levels of pregnant women at the Rappokalling Health Center, Makassar. The factors that will be studied are direct factors, namely compliance with consuming Fe tablets and the nutritional status of pregnant women. During pregnancy the plasma increases quite large so the concentration of hemoglobin and hematocrit decreases somewhat, during pregnancy the overall blood viscosity decreases, the average hemoglobin concentration at term is 12.5 g/dl, and in around 5% of women the concentration is less than 11.0 g/dl. dl, therefore a hemoglobin concentration below 11 g/dl, especially at the end of pregnancy should be considered abnormal and is usually caused by iron deficiency and not due to hypervolemia of pregnancy. This research was carried out at PUSKESMAS Rappokalling Makassar, with the sampling technique being non-probability sampling with accidental sampling, namely the sampling method carried out by chance meeting, the sample in this study was 103 respondents from pregnant women. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between mothers' compliance with consuming Fe tablets and the Hb levels of pregnant women at the Rappokalling Health Center in Makassar. There was a significant relationship between the nutritional status of pregnant women and the Hb levels of pregnant women at the Rappokalling Health Center in Makassar.

Abstract

Mother's milk is a baby who has only been given breast milk for 6 months without additional fluids and additional solid food, for example formula milk, oranges, honey, tea and water, such as bananas, milk porridge, biscuits, rice porridge and team rice except vitamins. and medicine. Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months and continuing to provide breast milk until 11 months and complementary foods at 6 months can reduce under-five mortality by around 13%. Around 16% of neonatal deaths can be prevented if babies are breastfed from the first day of birth and babies who are breastfed within the first hour can reduce the risk of death by around 22%. In the working area of the Pampang Health Center, Makassar City, it is one of the areas that is still considered low in achieving exclusive breastfeeding, namely less than 60%. This data was obtained from the results of maternal and child health reports in 2014. The type of research used is a quantitative analytical survey with a cross sectional study approach. The population in this study was all mothers who had babies aged 6-11 months in the Pampang Makassar Health Center working area, totaling 106 mothers. The sample in this study were mothers who had babies aged 6-12 months who were willing to take part in this research. The sample size in this study was calculated using the Lemeshow formula so that there were 50 respondents. The conclusion of this research is that exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of the Pampang Health Center, Makassar City is still relatively low (58%) and there is no relationship between the role of health workers and exclusive breastfeeding for babies 0-6 months in Pampang sub-district, the Pampang Makassar Health Center working area and the value The significance obtained was 0.684. It is hoped that the public, especially pregnant women, will carry out pregnancy and childbirth examinations at the health services that have been provided so that important information about maternal and child health is easily obtained, so that it is hoped that it can increase the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding. A part from that, it is hoped that health workers will further increase their role in providing information or education regarding exclusive breastfeeding so that the success of exclusive breastfeeding can run optimally and successfully.

Abstract

The Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkes) reported that the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in 2022 was around 183/100,000 live deaths. The high MMR and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) are generally influenced by the high number of mothers who have high risk and poor obstetric history in pregnancy and lack of early detection in pregnancy. The impact on babies can include obstacles to fetal growth and development in the womb, abortion, premature birth, LBW, infection in newborns and growth after birth experiencing difficulties and infant death. This study aims to determine how hemoglobin (Hb) levels in pregnant women are related to newborn weight (LBW), bleeding during childbirth, low birth weight (LBW), non-ideal IQ, babies who are susceptible to infection, and malnutrition. During pregnancy Plasma increases quite significantly then the concentration of hemoglobin and hematocrit decreases somewhat, during pregnancy as a result the overall blood viscosity will decrease, the average hemoglobin concentration at term is 12.5 g / dl and in about 5% of women the concentration is less than 11.0 g / dl, therefore the hemoglobin concentration below 11 g / dl, especially at the end of pregnancy should be considered abnormal and is usually caused by iron deficiency and not due to hypervolemia of pregnancy According to the Ministry of Health (2005), several factors that cause anemia in pregnant women include bleeding during childbirth, low birth weight (LBW), poor IQ, the tendency of babies to be infected, and malnutrition. Hemoglobin and hematocrit concentration during pregnancy this study aims to determine the relationship between hemoglobin (Hb) levels of pregnant women and newborn weight, the variables to be studied are Hb levels and newborn weight. During pregnancy, plasma increases significantly, so the concentration of hemoglobin and hematocrit decreases slightly. During pregnancy, the overall blood viscosity decreases. The average hemoglobin concentration at term is 12.5 g/dl and in about 5% of women the concentration is less than 11.0 g/dl. Therefore, hemoglobin concentrations below 11 g/dl, especially at the end of pregnancy, should be considered abnormal and are usually caused by iron deficiency and not due to pregnancy hypervolemia. This study will be conducted at the Rappokalling Health Center, Makassar. The type of research used is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional study approach. Sampling is non-probability sampling. The results of statistical tests with chy square show a significant relationship between hemoglobin levels in pregnant women and newborn weight with a P-value of 0.001

Abstract

Comprehensive midwifery care is a series of health services midwives provide, starting from pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, newborns, and family planning. The maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate are highly dependent on the quality of health services; the higher the quality of midwives' services, the lower the maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate. Comprehensive midwifery care can ensure that mothers and babies receive quality care throughout pregnancy until childbirth and family planning. The purpose of this study was to provide comprehensive care to Mrs. N G2P1A0, from pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and newborns to family planning at the Pratama BKIA Rakyat Clinic. This type of research is comprehensive, using the 7-step Varney method and documented in the form of SOAP. Based on the results obtained on Mrs. N, there were no problems and complications ranging from pregnancy, childbirth, newborn, postpartum, and family planning care provided by the authority of the midwife, and based on the client's consent.
