The sampling technique used was simple random sampling, a method of randomly selecting samples from a population without regard to specific levels within the population. Furthermore, respondents were selected using purposive sampling. The anxiety measurement instrument used was the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) questionnaire. The level of sexual knowledge regarding physical changes during puberty shows that 49 respondents (58.33%) have knowledge in the good category, 27 respondents (32.14%) are in the sufficient category, and 8 respondents (9.53%) are in the poor category. There is a significant relationship between sexual knowledge related to physical changes and anxiety in facing puberty in adolescents at SMPN 1 Margoyoso Pati. Abstract

HIV/AIDS remains a global health problem, including in Indonesia, with a significant impact on adolescents as a high-risk group. Adequate knowledge about HIV/AIDS is expected to foster healthier sexual behaviors, thereby minimizing the risk of transmission. The increasing prevalence of risky sexual behavior among adolescents can contribute to high rates of HIV/AIDS transmission. to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about HIV/AIDS and adolescent sexual behavior. This research is quantitative with a correlational design using a cross-sectional approach. The study population was adolescents aged 15–19 years in the Pati I Community Health Center working area, with a sample of 100 respondents selected using proportional random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, including 10 questions for the HIV/AIDS knowledge variable and 10 questions for the sexual behavior variable. Data analysis was performed univariately to observe the frequency distribution and bivariately using the Spearman correlation test. showed that most respondents had a level of knowledge about HIV/AIDS in the category of less (49%), sufficient (28%), and good (23%). As many as 55% of respondents were classified as having risky sexual behavior, with forms of behavior varying from holding hands to penetrative sexual intercourse. The results of the bivariate test showed a significant relationship between the level of knowledge about HIV/AIDS and adolescent sexual behavior (p-value = 0.031) with a weak positive correlation (r = 0.215). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship with a positive direction between knowledge about HIV/AIDS and adolescent sexual behavior.

Abstract

Background: According to the 2020 Ministry of Health Profile, fever accounts for 7.3% of infant deaths in Indonesia. Fever is a common complaint in children, with 20–40% of parents reporting their child's illness each year. Approximately 19–30% of patients visiting doctors are children, and fever is one of the primary complaints. If not treated promptly, fever can lead to complications such as seizures and decreased consciousness. Fever management can be done through pharmacological (antipyretic, NSAID, diazepam) or non-pharmacological measures, one of which is by applying compresses. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of dry warm compresses and water tepid sponge compresses on reducing body temperature in pediatric patients at Pati Islamic Hospital. Method: Quantitative research with a quasi-experimental two-group pre–post test design using a purposive sampling technique. Results: The application of water tepid sponge compresses showed a significant decrease in temperature with an average difference of 1.2°C, while dry warm compresses only reduced the temperature by a difference of 0.2°C. Conclusion: Water tepid sponge compresses are more effective than dry warm compresses in reducing body temperature in children with fever at Pati Islamic Hospital.

Abstract

Pain is one of the main problems often experienced by patients during treatment in hospitals, including in the Zam-Zam 1 Ward of Sultan Hadlirin Hospital, Jepara. High levels of pain can affect comfort, quality of rest, and slow the patient's healing process. Various non-pharmacological interventions have been developed to help reduce pain, one of which is music therapy, which works through distraction and relaxation mechanisms. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of music therapy in reducing pain levels in patients in the Zam-Zam 1 Ward of Sultan Hadlirin Hospital, Jepara. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach without a control group. The study sample consisted of 47 patients who met the inclusion criteria and were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) to measure the patient's pain levels before and after the intervention. The music therapy process was carried out by playing relaxation music for a certain period according to the research procedure. Data analysis was carried out using a paired t-test to determine the difference in pain levels before and after music therapy. The results showed an average decrease in pain levels of 1.79 with a standard deviation of 1.05. The t-test results yielded a t-value of 9.017 with a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pain levels before and after the intervention. These findings demonstrate that music therapy is effective in reducing pain perception in hospitalized patients. In conclusion, music therapy can be used as an alternative non-pharmacological intervention that is easily implemented by healthcare professionals to improve patient comfort and quality of care in hospitals.

Abstract

Hospital waste disposal compliance includes the procedures implemented. Improper sorting negatively impacts environmental quality and must be controlled according to applicable SOPs. To determine the relationship between length of service and nurses' compliance with SOPs for medical and non-medical waste disposal at Pati Islamic Hospital in 2025. The researchers used a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. The population was nurses at Pati Islamic Hospital, and a sample of 52 nurses was obtained using purposive sampling. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test using SPSS. A total of 20 respondents (38.5%) had the longest working period with a working period of >10 years, while 5 respondents (9.6%) had a minimum working period with a working period of <1 year. A Good compliance attitude was obtained by 48 respondents (92.3%), and 4 respondents had a Fair compliance attitude. In conclusion, there is no relationship between the length of service period and nurses' compliance with the SOP for medical and non-medical waste disposal based on the Chi-Square calculation obtained a value of 0.250, greater than the significance value of 0.05. The conclusion is that length of service does not affect nurses' compliance with SOPs for disposing of medical and non-medical waste at Pati Islamic Hospital. The researchers recommend further research with a more diverse population of respondents and other variables related to hospital waste disposal to compare the results.

Abstract

Chronic kidney failure (CKD) is a condition characterized by progressive and irreversible decline in kidney function. One of the main therapies for CKD patients is hemodialysis, which requires adherence to a special diet to prevent complications and maintain quality of life. This study aims to analyze the relationship between age, gender, education level, length of hemodialysis, knowledge level, and family support with dietary compliance in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis at RSI Pati. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design with a total sampling technique, involving 50 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. The instrument used was a questionnaire on respondent characteristics, knowledge, family support, and dietary compliance. Data analysis was carried out univariately and bivariately using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that the variable that had a significant relationship with dietary compliance was the level of knowledge (p = 0.011). Meanwhile, age (p = 0.386), gender (p = 0.248), education level (p = 0.071), duration of hemodialysis (p = 0.137), and family support (p = 0.498) did not show a significant relationship. Dietary compliance in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) undergoing hemodialysis is largely influenced by their level of knowledge. It is recommended that healthcare professionals develop structured and ongoing educational programs, tailored to patient needs, to improve dietary compliance.
