Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of student independence on student learning outcomes in the history of class XI IIS 2 in Kotagajah 1 Public High School year 2018/2019. The type of this research use in this study is a qualitative descriptive field research. The method used in data collection is the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an influence between students' independence on student learning outcomes. The influence of this student independence provides good benefits in improving student learning outcomes which means that the more optimal the independence of students in learning, the better in improving learning outcomes.Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Kemandirian Siswa terhadap Hasil belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Sejarah Kelas XI IIS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kotagajah Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan yang bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah metode observasi,wawancara, dan dokumentasi.Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara kemandirian siswa terhadap hasil belajar siswa.Pengaruh kemandirian siswaini memberikan manfaat yang baik dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa yang berarti semakin maksimal kemandirian siswa dalam belajar rmaka akan semakin baik dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, kemandirian, pengaruh

Abstract

مستخلص البحث: الخط النسخي يُعد من أسهل أنواع الخطوط العربية تعلُّمًا وأكثرها استخدامًا في المجال التعليمي، مما يجعله موضوعًا مناسبًا للدراسة من حيث أثره في تنمية مهارة الكتابة لدى الطلاب. يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحليل دور تعليم الخط النسخ في تطوير مهارات الكتابة باللغة العربية، من خلال مراجعة منهجية للأدبيات. يعتمد البحث على منهج المراجعة المنهجية للأدبيات (Systematic Literature Review - SLR) بتحليل الدراسات السابقة ذات الصلة. تم جمع البيانات من مقالات علمية ومجلات أكاديمية وتقارير بحثية ركزت على تعليم الخط النسخ ومهارة الكتابة. أظهرت النتائج أن تعليم الخط النسخ لا يُحسن فقط من جودة الكتابة، بل يعزز الجوانب الجمالية والثقافية لدى الطلاب. كما ظهرت عوامل مساعدة مثل وجود المعلمين المؤهلين والوسائل المناسبة، وأخرى معوقة مثل قلة الوقت في المناهج الدراسية. توصي الدراسة بدمج الخط النسخ بشكل أوسع ضمن مناهج تعليم اللغة العربية. الكلمات المفتاحية: مراجعة منهجية (SLR) ، خط النسخ، مهارة الكتابة Abstract: Naskh script is one of the easiest types of Arabic scripts to learn and the most widely used in the educational field, making it a suitable topic for study in terms of its impact on the development of students' writing skills. This research aims to analyze the role of teaching Naskh calligraphy in developing Arabic writing skills through a systematic literature review. The research adopts the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by analyzing previous relevant studies. Data were collected from scientific articles, academic journals, and research reports that focused on teaching calligraphy and writing skills. The results showed that teaching calligraphy not only improves the quality of writing, but also enhances students' aesthetic and cultural aspects. Helping factors such as the presence of qualified teachers and appropriate tools, and hindering factors such as lack of time in the curriculum were also found. The study recommends integrating calligraphy more widely into the Arabic language curriculum. Keywords: Systematic Literature Review, Naskh Script, Writing Skills

Abstract

Listening (istima’) is one of the four essential skills in Arabic language learning that plays a crucial role in understanding spoken messages. However, in Indonesia, the teaching of istima’ is still largely conducted using conventional methods, which tend to be monotonous and less effective. Technological advancements have led to various digital media innovations that support more interactive, flexible, and contextual listening instruction. This study aims to identify forms of digital media innovation in istima’ instruction, evaluate their effectiveness, and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in their implementation. The method used is a literature review with content analysis techniques. The findings show that media such as animated videos, podcasts, mobile applications, and online platforms can enhance student motivation, participation, and learning outcomes. These innovations also promote flexible, independent, and needs-based learning. However, the effectiveness of digital media depends on content quality, teacher competence, and infrastructure readiness. Therefore, the integration of digital media in istima’ instruction must be pedagogically and strategically designed. This study provides theoretical and practical contributions to the development of modern and 21st-century-relevant Arabic language learning.

Abstract

This research aims to gain a deeper understanding of how classical Qur’anic exegetes sch as imam al-Thabari, al-Qurthubi, and al-Suyuti, who are scholars of tafsir from various periods in Islamic history, interpret and apply the concept of abrogation (naskh) in the context of the verses of the Qur’an. The researcher willexplore various approaches and methodologies used by classical mufassir in explaining the phenomeon of naskh, as well as how they interpret verses that are considered to have been abrogated or replaced by other verses. The methodology employed in this research is qualitative analysis with an indepth literature study approach. The researcher examine various classical tafsir works produced by prominent mufassir, as well as analyze the historical and cultural contexts in which these tafsir were written. The results of the research indicate that there is significant variation in the understanding and application of the concept of naskh among classical mufassir. Some mufassir emphasize historical and kontextual aspects, striving to understand the social and cultural background of the verses that are considered abrogated, thus providing a deeper explanation of the legal changes within the Qur’an. The research recommends further in depth studies on the influence of social and cultural contexts on the interpretation of naskh. Understanding these factors is essentialfor obtaining a more comprehensive perspective on the application of naskh in various circumstances and contributes to enriching the muslim understanding of the Qur’an and its application in contemporary life.

Abstract

Qur'anic interpretation is a complex scholarly activity that demands intellectual, methodological, and spiritual competencies from a mufassir (interpreter). The study of Ushul al-Tafsir (principles of Qur'anic exegesis) is essential for understanding the epistemological foundations underpinning the criteria of a mufassir, including sources of knowledge, interpretative methods, and the validity of the sciences involved. This research aims to conduct an epistemological analysis of the criteria for mufassirs by examining the dimensions of sources, methods, and the legitimacy of knowledge within the perspective of Ushul al-Tafsir. A qualitative approach based on literature review was employed, focusing on classical works such as al-Burhān and al-Itqān, alongside contemporary thoughts from scholars like Muhammad Abduh, Fazlur Rahman, and Muhammad Arkoun. The findings reveal a significant epistemological shift from a textual-traditional model to a more rational and contextual approach, where the validity of interpretation is no longer solely dependent on authoritative transmission but also on methodological integrity and socio-cultural relevance. These results underscore the necessity of reformulating the criteria of a mufassir to integrate traditional authority with modern scientific approaches. Consequently, there is a need to strengthen Qur'anic interpretation curricula based on a dynamic Islamic epistemology to preserve the authenticity and sustainability of tafsir studies in contemporary contexts.

Abstract

This study is part of a community service program to enhance students’ ability to read classical Islamic texts (maharah qirā’ah) at MAS Tahfidz Rokan Hulu. Kitab kuning, as a core of Islamic scholarly tradition, demands strong Arabic grammar skills, especially in nahwu and sharaf, due to its unvowelled format. Despite their diniyah background, many students still struggle to comprehend these texts independently. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach, this program implemented practical training strategies, including basic sentence structure review, i’rab reinforcement, vocabulary enrichment, and guided reading via halaqah and musyāwarah methods. Data from observation and interviews revealed improved understanding of Arabic grammar and greater reading fluency. The contextual, hands-on approach helped boost student confidence and engagement with classical texts. Moreover, the collaborative halaqah setting fostered active, enjoyable learning. These results highlight the value of practical strategies in kitab kuning instruction, especially for students with foundational Arabic knowledge. Strengthening maharah qirā’ah not only deepens access to turats literature but also promotes critical and religious thinking. This model is recommended for adoption in other Islamic schools or pesantren to preserve and strengthen classical Islamic scholarship. Penelitian ini merupakan bagian dari program pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca teks klasik Islam (maharah qirā’ah) bagi siswa MAS Tahfidz Rokan Hulu. Kitab kuning, sebagai inti dari tradisi keilmuan Islam, menuntut penguasaan tata bahasa Arab yang kuat, khususnya dalam aspek nahwu dan sharaf, karena tidak berharakat. Meskipun para siswa memiliki latar belakang pendidikan diniyah, banyak di antara mereka yang masih kesulitan memahami teks secara mandiri. Dengan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif, program ini menerapkan strategi pelatihan praktis, termasuk pengenalan struktur kalimat dasar, penguatan konsep i’rab, perluasan kosakata klasik, serta latihan membaca melalui metode halaqah dan musyāwarah. Data dari observasi dan wawancara menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman terhadap tata bahasa Arab dan kelancaran membaca teks. Pendekatan yang kontekstual dan aplikatif ini berhasil meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan ketertarikan siswa terhadap teks-teks klasik. Selain itu, suasana kolaboratif dalam halaqah mendorong partisipasi aktif dan menyenangkan. Hasil ini menegaskan pentingnya strategi praktis dalam pembelajaran kitab kuning, terutama bagi siswa yang telah memiliki dasar bahasa Arab. Penguatan maharah qirā’ah tidak hanya memperdalam akses terhadap literatur turats, tetapi juga mendorong pemikiran kritis dan religius. Model pelatihan ini direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan di lembaga pendidikan Islam lainnya dalam rangka melestarikan tradisi keilmuan Islam klasik.

Abstract

The present study aims to develop an applied Nahwu learning model based on project-based learning that can enhance students’ understanding of Nahwu rules and their ability to apply them when analyzing the structure of Arabic sentences. The background of this research stems from the low ability of students to apply Nahwu rules contextually, despite having studied the theory intensively. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg and Gall development model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, model design, expert validation, limited trials, and revision. The research subjects consisted of third-semester students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program at the Institute of Qur’anic Science Syekh Ibrahim. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and learning outcome tests. The findings indicate that the project-based Nahwu Tathbiqiy learning model is valid and practical based on evaluations by language experts and learning specialists, with a feasibility percentage of 89%. The implementation of this model successfully increased students’ active engagement in the learning process through project activities such as text analysis, sentence construction, and presentation of analysis results. The effectiveness test further shows a significant improvement in students’ understanding of Nahwu rules and their application in sentence contexts after the model’s implementation. Therefore, the project-based Nahwu Tathbiqiy learning model is deemed suitable as an innovative alternative in Arabic language instruction, balancing conceptual understanding and practical application skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji af’al al-qulub sebagai unsur penting dalam nahwu bahasa Arab yang berfungsi menashabkan dua maf‘ul sekaligus berperan sebagai penguat makna dalam struktur kalimat. Fokus penelitian ini meliputi pengertian af’al al-qulub menurut para ahli nahwu klasik dan kontemporer, klasifikasi jenis-jenisnya, penggunaan dalam kalimat beserta analisis i‘rab, serta relevansinya dengan pembelajaran nahwu aplikatif berbasis proyek. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode library research melalui penelaahan kitab nahwu klasik, literatur linguistik kontemporer, dan artikel jurnal nasional yang relevan. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif-analitis dengan menekankan keterkaitan antara struktur sintaksis dan makna semantis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa af’al al-qulub terbagi ke dalam af‘al al-yaqīn dan af’al ar-rujḥan, yang meskipun memiliki pola sintaksis yang sama, menghasilkan tingkat kepastian makna yang berbeda. Selain itu, kajian ini menegaskan bahwa pemahaman af‘al al-qulub tidak dapat dipisahkan dari aspek makna, karena pilihan fi‘il qalbi menentukan sikap epistemik penutur terhadap suatu proposisi. Dalam konteks pedagogis, integrasi kajian af‘al al-qulub dalam pembelajaran nahwu berbasis proyek dinilai relevan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman aplikatif dan kesadaran metalinguistik peserta didik. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini berkontribusi pada penguatan kajian nahwu fungsional serta pengembangan pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang kontekstual dan bermakna.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Arabic syntax learning model that integrates Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) and STEM to improve students’ language skills and scientific literacy. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) method adapted from Borg & Gall, involving seven stages, including needs analysis, expert validation, and limited trials with 10 university students in the Arabic Language Education Program at ISQ Syekh Ibrahim. The learning model consists of six thematic units that integrate STEM themes into Arabic syntax topics such as jumlah ismiyyah, jumlah Fi’liyah, idhafah, and na’at, using TBLT stages: pre-task, task cycle, and language focus. Expert validation showed high feasibility (90%). Trial results indicated a significant improvement in students’ syntax achievement, with average scores increasing from 65.0 to 82.7, as well as higher motivation, collaboration, and critical thinking. Overall, the integration of TBLT and STEM made Arabic grammar learning more meaningful and contextual. The study concludes that the TBLT–STEM approach is effective in improving Arabic syntax learning outcomes at the university level.
