Abstract

Along with the development of the increasingly competitive coffee industry, coffee shops must have a business strategy in managing good coffee supplies to increase competitiveness. Time series forecasting is one of the ways that Koromi Sip & Slurp can use because it serves as a basis for company decision making to develop business strategies. This study aims to determine the best time series forecasting method that can be used as a basis for determining business strategies in managing coffee supplies. The data used is weekly sales data of three types of coffee beans from August 2024 to February 2025. The time series forecasting methods used are Single Moving Average (SMA), Weighted Moving Average (WMA), and Single Exponential Smoothing (SES). Evaluation of the method is carried out based on the forecast error value using the MFE, MAD, MSE, and MAPE methods. The results of the analysis show that the SES method provides the smallest error rate for all types of coffee so it was chosen as the best method. Validation using the Moving Range Chart shows that the forecasting results are within the statistical control limits. Forecasting for the 31st period resulted in a total demand for Sweet Coffee 322 cups, Non-Sweet Coffee 72 cups, and Manual Brew 8 cups. The resulting forecasting is expected to be used as a basis for strategic decision making, one of which is the management of coffee inventory at Koromi Sip & Slurp

Abstract

Inventory memiliki peran yang sangat penting untuk mendukung kegiatan produksi. eran Inventory sendiri penting karena menjadi bahan baku dan penolong dalam proses produksi. Jika kita menggunakan inventory management dengan baik maka inventory dalam logistik akan teratur namun jika menggunakannya tidak baik akan menyebabkan turunnya mutu, harga, pelayanan sampai dengan probabilitas itu sendiri. Adapun contoh kegiatan inventory management yaitu barcode untuk memudahkan kegiatan penyediaan barang. Metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan ialah literature review dengan menggunakan jurnal sebanyak 717.500, diambil 20 jurnal yang sesuai dengan penelitian artikel ilmiah ini. Fungsi utama dari manajemen persediaan adalah untuk memastikan bahwa semua jenis persediaan tersedia setiap saat. Dalam membantu proses manajemen inventori terdapat perkembangan berbasis teknologi yaitu dengan perangkat lunak yang di dalamnya terdapat barcode untuk menscan barang dalam pergudangan. Barcode pada perusahaan retail memudahkan dalam mendata barang saat barang keluar maupun saat barang masuk.

Abstract

Masa diskon tanggal kembar dalam e-commerce sering menyebabkan lonjakan aktivitas transaksi yang berdampak pada kualitas layanan logistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh waktu dan jasa pengiriman terhadap kepuasan konsumen selama periode tanggal kembar di platform Shopee bulan Januari sampai Mei 2025 berdasarkan karakteristik konsumen. Variabel independen terdiri atas waktu pengiriman (X₁) dan jasa pengiriman (X₂), sedangkan variabel dependen adalah kepuasan konsumen (Y). Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan instrumen kuesioner skala Likert yang disebarkan kepada 400 responden melalui teknik purposive sampling. Validitas diuji dengan korelasi Pearson dan reliabilitas dengan Cronbach’s Alpha. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji normalitas, multikolinearitas, heteroskedastisitas, autokorelasi, dan regresi linear berganda (jenis kelamin, usia, profesi, dan penghasilan bulanan) menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa waktu dan jasa pengiriman sama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan konsumen, namun jasa pengiriman memiliki pengaruh yang lebih dominan pada hampir seluruh kategori. Kelompok usia muda, perempuan, dan pelajar lebih sensitif terhadap waktu pengiriman, sementara pekerja serta responden berpenghasilan tinggi lebih mengutamakan kualitas jasa. Strategi pengiriman yang adaptif berdasarkan karakteristik konsumen diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan konsumen terutama saat tanggal kembar.

Abstract

The Distribution Center (DC) of Toko X plays a crucial role in the logistics system of a minimarket retail company, ensuring the delivery of goods to branch stores. Despite having a structured picking process supported by pick-to-light technology, discrepancies in item quantities—referred to as picking variances—continue to occur. This study was conducted through direct observation and interviews with warehouse staff, followed by a root cause analysis using the 5 Whys method. The analysis revealed that the primary cause stems from human error, particularly non-compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the absence of regular performance evaluations for pickers. As a corrective measure, a continuous improvement approach based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle was designed.

Abstract

Supply Chain Management (SCM) plays a strategic role in improving competitiveness and consumer loyalty. This study aims to analyze the SCM factors that influence consumer loyalty to the BS UPI Student Cooperative (Kopma). The approach used is quantitative with a survey method, involving 40 respondents who are students of the University of Education Indonesia who have made purchases at Kopma in the past three months. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis. The results of the study indicate that product variety, price, timeliness, facilities, availability, and product quality are important factors influencing consumer loyalty. From the analysis, it was found that product variety is the dominant factor most influencing consumer loyalty. The decline in Kopma's sales over the past two months underscores the need to enhance SCM strategies to maintain and improve consumer loyalty. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for Kopma managers in formulating more effective SCM strategies to address competitive challenges and meet consumer expectations optimally.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the downstream Teh Walini industry’s reliance on third-party logistics (3PL) services for product distribution, which restricts the company’s control over several key aspects, including logistics costs, delivery speed, routing efficiency, and product handling quality. The primary objective of this research is to analyze and compare distribution costs between outsourced logistics and self-managed delivery, and to evaluate the potential cost efficiency of an independently operated shipping system. A descriptive comparative quantitative method is employed, incorporating movement generation analysis, distribution spread mapping, and Vehicle Operating Cost (VOC) calculations to estimate the cost implications of self-shipping. Data were obtained through company documentation and analyzed using multiple linear regression involving six major distribution points. The results reveal that shipment volume significantly influences movement generation, with Waingapu, Makassar, and Padang identified as the dominant distribution destinations. The cost comparison analysis demonstrates that self-managed delivery is more cost-effective than third-party logistics services, making it a more viable long-term option. These findings suggest that transitioning to a self-delivery system could improve cost control and logistical efficiency for the company. However, this strategy should be implemented gradually, supported by regular updates on operational cost data and proactive management of external factors that could impact distribution performance. The study concludes by recommending broader coverage and the inclusion of additional relevant variables in future research to further validate and enhance decision-making related to distribution strategies. A well-informed shift toward internal logistics could ultimately contribute to greater competitiveness and sustainability in the company’s distribution operations

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for barges and tugboats in distributing Crude Palm Oil (CPO) in the West Papua region. The analysis is conducted based on three main aspects: the balance of supply and demand, ship operational costs, and shipping time, to determine the most efficient mode of sea transportation. The research method used is a quantitative approach by processing CPO distribution data owned by PT Kurhanz Trans in 2024. The results show that the combination of a 240-foot barge with a 5,000 HP tugboat is the most optimal alternative. This combination is able to balance cargo capacity, operational cost efficiency, and shipping time. The total operating cost of a 240-foot barge is recorded as lower than a 230-foot barge, with the same shipping time of 70 hours for a distance of 140 nautical miles. Thus, the 240-foot barge can be recommended as the best alternative to support the smooth distribution of CPO in the West Papua region efficiently and economically.
