Abstract

The increase in population in recent years has affected the utilization of facilities and infrastructure, including the use of vehicles. For the past 10 years, the population in Papua has increased by around 4.13% per year, resulting in the need for daily mobility to increase. The high mobility demand in Papua could affect the increase in pollution, thus affecting the air quality. Exposure to pollutants in ambient air and environmental noise in the long term will have an impact on human health. Therefore, in this study, we analyze the current conditions of air pollution parameters in several major cities in Papua, such as Jayapura, Merauke, Sentani, and Timika. The method used is a survey. Environmental parameters measured were air content of SO2, NO3, PM 10, PM 2.5, HC, O3, CO, dust, Pb, noise, and The Air Pollutant Standard Index (ISPU) value. Observational data obtained were analyzed and displayed using the ArcGIS program. The parameters for determining the location of sampling points are densely packed highway areas, industrial areas, residential areas, and offices. The results of the study indicated that the ambient air quality in all study sites is below the required quality standard. While the results of environmental noise that exceed the highest quality standards located in specifics area on each study site are as follows, Merauke at PLTD Merauke I PT. PLN Persero with 81.24 dB(A), Sentani at Sentani City Square Roads with 70.2 dB (A), Mimika at Perumahan Pemda SP-2 with 65.30 dB(A), and Sentani at Kantor Bupati Jayapura with 64, 54 dB (A). However, the ISPU value for pollutant substances is still in the range of 0-50, which means that the air quality category is very good to carry any outdoor activities, and does not have any negative impact on humans, animals, or plants.Key words: air quality; noice; ISPU; Papua.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan merekayasa model sistem dinamik untuk menganalisis pengaruh pertumbuhan penduduk terhadap penurunan luas hutan di Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Sentani. Metode yang digunakan adalah Model Sistem Dinamik dengan menggunakan tool powersim 2.5d. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertambahan penduduk merupakan faktor pengungkit (leverage factor) meningkatnya pemanfaatan lahan hutan di DAS`Sentani. Hal ini dibuktikan oleh menurunnya luas hutan yang tersedia dari 68.865 ha pada tahun 2002 menjadi 59.559 ha pada tahun 2012 dan akhirnya diasumsikan habis (0 ha) pada tahun 2042.ABSTRACTThe research was conducted To design dynamic system model for analyze influence of population growth decrease of forest area in Sentani watershed. The research method are  dynamic system model with tool powersym 2.5d. The result of this experiment show that people growth as leverage factor to increase forest land utilization around Sentani  watershed. This is evidenced by the decrease in forest nauseating available from 68 865 ha in 2002 to 59 559 ha in 2012 and finally is assumed finished (0 ha) in 2042.

Abstract

Konstruksi sumur gali yang  tidak memenuhi syarat sesuai dengan persyaratan yang dikeluarkan oleh Kepmen PUPR tahun 2016 tentang pembuatan sumur gali dapat menyebabkan air sumur gali mudah terkontaminasi melalui rembesan yang berasal dari kotoran manusia ataupun hewan, dikarenakan sumur gali menyediakan air yang berasal dari lapisan tanah yang dekat dengan permukaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh konstruksi sumur gali terhadap bakteriologis coli tinja dan  menganalisis strategi pengendalian bakteriologis coli tinja air sumur gali. Jenis penelitian deskriptif analitik yang mana dilakukan penilaian kondisi fisik, menganalisis kandungan bakteriologis coli tinja menggunakan metode Most Probable Number, menganalisis pengaruh  konstruksi sumur gali terhadap bakteriologis coli tinja menggunakan uji Chi-Square dengan aplikasi SPSS versi 19, serta menganalisis strategi pengendalian kualitas bakteriologis coli tinja menggunakan analisis SWOT. Populasi berjumlah 170 sumur gali. Sampel diambil 20% berdasarkan Arikunto 170 x 0,20 = 34 sumur gali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh dinding dan bibir sumur gali terhadap kualitas bakteriologis coli tinja dengan nilai sig. (0,000), terdapat pengaruh lantai sumur gali terhadap kualitas bakteriologis coli tinja dengan nilai sig. (0,005), strategi yang digunakan dalam pengendalian kualitas bakteriologis coli tinja di Koya barat adalah strategi memanfaatkan kekuatan (strengths) untuk menghindari ancaman (threats) yaitu meningkatkan kualitas air sumur gali seiring bertambahnya jumlah penduduk, meningkatkan  pengelolaan limbah peternakan dengan baik, meningkatkan cara pembuatan septictank yang memenuhi syarat, meningkatkan informasi kepada masyarakat cara pembuatan sumur gali yang baik, meningkatkan informasi dan pengawasan kepada masyarakat tentang pentingnya menjaga kualitas air agar terhindar dari berbagai penyakit. Kata Kunci: Air sumur, Bakteriologis coli tinja, Konstruksi   The construction of dug wells that do not meet the requirements by the requirements issued by the Minister of PUPR in 2016 can cause explored well water to be easily contaminated through seepage originating from human or animal feces because dug wells provide water that comes from layers of soil close to the surface. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the construction of drilled wells on the bacteriology of fecal coli and the bacteriological control strategies of fecal coli in searched well water. This type of research is Analytical Descriptive where the physical condition is assessed, analyzing the bacteriological content of fecal coli using the Most Probable Number method, analyzing the effect of dug well construction on the bacteriological fecal coli using the Chi-Square test with the SPSS application version 19 and exploring the bacteriological quality control strategy of fecal coli using analyzing SWOT. The population is 170 dug wells. Samples were taken 20% based on Arikunto 170 x 0.20 = 34 drilled wells. The results showed that there was an effect of the walls and lip of the dug well on the bacteriological quality of fecal coli with a sig value (0.000), there was an effect of the floor of the searched well on the bacteriological quality of fecal coli with a sig value (0.005), the strategy used in controlling the bacteriological quality of fecal coli in Koya west is a strategy of utilizing strengths to avoid threats, namely improving the quality of dug well water as the population increases, improving livestock waste management properly, improving how to make septic tanks that meet the requirements, increasing information to the public on how to make good dug wells, increasing knowledge and supervision to the public about the importance of maintaining water quality to avoid various diseases. Abstract

Floods are one of the most common natural disasters and have a significant impact on the social, economic, and environmental aspects of society. This is particularly evident in the community of East Sorong District. East Sorong District is one of the areas frequently affected by floods, and this inevitably leads to numerous risks and consequences. There are several causes of flooding in the Sorong Timur District, including extreme rainfall, inadequate drainage systems due to trash blockages, uncontrolled land use changes resulting in overpopulation, and the loss of forest areas or green spaces that could function as water absorption zones. Additionally, the lack of flood control systems and weak oversight of development in flood-prone areas can exacerbate flood disaster risks. This study aims to analyze and measure the resilience of the Sorong Timur District in facing flood disasters through an evaluation approach focusing on infrastructure, service facilities, socio-economic factors, community capacity and preparedness, and institutional aspects. It was concluded that the infrastructure variable is still moderate, while the socio-economic variable, basic capacity, and community preparedness, as well as institutional capacity, are still low. Meanwhile, service facilities are also low. Overall, it can be concluded that the resilience of the Sorong Timur district in facing hydrometeorological disasters is weak.
