Abstract

The Lake Sentani has problems. Firstly, high of erosion number i.e. 94.52 ton/ha/year of which the value is higher than erosion tolerance at average 25 ton/ha/year.Secondly, high concentration of chemical pollution such as Cu (0.0201- 0.1081 mg/L) and Zn (0.21 - 0.36 mg/L) which these values are above water quality standard approved by the government as ruled in PP 82 Tahun 2001 about the management of water quality and water pollution. Therefore research and management are needed to find solution for the sustainability of this lake. The aims of this research is to be acquainted with carrying capacity of Lake Sentani through analyzing 1) the pollution load, and 2) the assimilation capacity of Lake Sentani aquaculture. The collected information is important for future aquaculture environmental management and conservation. Result shows that the pollution loads from river are obtained as follows (ton/month): TDS (441.806 to 775.287), BOD (3.510 to 7.801) and COD (7.737 to 16.055).The assimilation capacities from lake are obtained as follows (ton/month): TDS (12.18494), BOD (11.31973) and COD (122.4184).The number of pollution loads (TDS, BOD and COD) are under the assimilation capacity.

Abstract

The problem in Lake Sentani area are degradation of watershead and land forest convertion, which cause decreasing water quality in Sentani Lake. For this reason, it is very important to analyze of water quality status in L. Sentani periodically in order to retain its sustainability. The analyzed result by using STORET method showed the quality statue of L.Sentani are ranged from moderate to heavy pollution in category since 2006.

Abstract

Sungai Kampwolker terindikasi sudah mengalami pencemaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat pencemaran air di sungai Kampwolker menggunakan metode Pollution Index (PI). Hasil analisis mendapatkan nilai PI sebesar 6,470 artinya sungai Kampwolker telah tercemar sedang berdasarkan Klas II, sedangkan berdasarkan Klas I diperoleh nilai sebesar 7,534 juga tercemar sedang. Parameter – parameter yang tidak memenuhi baku mutu di sungai Kampwolker adalah DO, PO4, Zn, Cu, Hg, Fenol, Chlorine bebas, dan Pb dengan nilai konsentrasi berturut – turut 5,795 mg/L; 1,705 mg/L; 0,0665mg/L; 0,0245 mg/L; 0,08 mg/L; 13 µg/L; 0,285 mg/L; dan 0,078 mg/L.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the current status of lake water quality in the Gelanggang Expo area using the Pollution Index (IP) method. It is found that there has been pollution in Lake Sentani with high concentrations of certain pollutants, such as Nitrite as NO2-N (0.06 - 0.15 mg/L), Phosphate as PO4-P (0.2 - 0.45 mg/L), Sulfide as S-H2S (0.002 - 4.26 mg/L), Cadmium (0.01 - 0.3 mg/L), Chromium valence 6 (0.05 - 0.26 mg/L), Copper (0.02 - 2.15 mg/L), Zinc (0.05 - 0.5 mg/L), Phenolic compounds (1 - 9.53 μg/L), and free chlorine (0.03 - 2, 1 mg/L). The concentration of these substances has exceeded the quality standard set by the government through PP 82 of 2001 concerning water quality management and water pollution control. The status of the lake water quality in the Gelanggang Expo area is declared moderately polluted with an IP value of 6.78. Sentani lake pollution is caused by eight parameters that have exceeded the quality standard, namely temperature, BOD, COD, Sulfide, Pb, Cu, Phenol, and free chlorine.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui keterlaksanaan keterampilan guru Fisika dalam menerapkan Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) di Kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Jayapura. Dalam setiap Kompetensi Dasar (KD), KPS diukur berdasarkan sepuluh aspek, yaitu 1) Mengamati (observasi); 2) Mengelompokan (Klasifikasi); 3) Menafsirkan (Inter-pretasi); 4) Meramalkan (Prediksi); 5) Mengajukan pertanyaan; 6) Berhipotesis; 7) Merencanakan Percobaan; 8) Menggunakan alat/bahan; 9) Menerapkan konsep; dan 10) Mengkomunikasikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan  studi kasus. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu (a) Kuesioner, (b) Observasi, dan (c) Penilaian Dokumen. Berdasarkan hasil (a) kuesioner, keterlaksanaan keterampilan guru Fisika dalam menerapkan KPS pada aspek 1) dan 2), dilakukan hanya pada sebagian besar KD; pada aspek 3), 4), dan 5), dilakukan pada sebagian kecil KD; pada aspek 6) dan 7), dilakukan hanya 1/2 KD; pada aspek 8) dan 9), dilakukan hanya sebagian besar KD; dan pada aspek 10), selalu dilakukan pada setiap KD. Berdasarkan (b) hasil observasi dan (c) penilaian dokumen, keterlaksanaan kompetensi guru Fisika dalam menerapkan KPS pada aspek 1) dan 2), dilakukan pada sebagian besar KD; pada aspek 3), 4), dan 5), dilakukan pada sebagian kecil KD; pada aspek 6) dan 7), dilakukan hanya 1 atau 2 KD; dan aspek 8), 9), dan 10), dilakukan pada sebagian besar KD.

Abstract

The Sentani Lake located at Jayapura regency which covered : east Sentani District, Sentani District, and West Sentani district. Other area located in Jayapura city. Sentani lake has 9630 ha area with 52 m depth and 72 m mean surface level. Some problem on Sentani lake are erotion, domestic waste and industrial waste which due to Cu and Zn concentration in these lake over standard of water quality. The strategy consist of management and institution responsibility, and lake institution is needed to develop lake sustainability . Analyze method by ISM (interpretative structural modeling) with institution fellowship, goal in lake management and management model programe as some input . According to expert judgment, the institution elements responsed to develop management model of Sentani lake are marine and fishing institution, Housing institution, local leader and local institution, environmental institution, landscape intitution, university, and tourisme institution. That elements is the fourth level. The fourth elements level become the main driver power and to effect on next sub element. Co-Management institution is proposed in this research.Key words: institution responsibility, co-management, ISM, driver power, Sentani Lak.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was: 1) finding out students’ enhancement in cognitive learning outcomes based on application of learning systematic troubleshooting solution and Wankat-Oreovocz experimental and demonstration method on optical material. 2) finding out the difference of application of learning systematic troubleshooting solution assisted by experimental method by using Wankat-Oreovocz troubleshooting strategy assisted demonstration to students’ cognitive learning outcomes on optical material. 3) finding out the difference of application of learning systematic troubleshooting solution assisted demonstration method by using Wankat-Oreovocz troubleshooting strategy assisted experiment to students’ cognitive learning outcomes on optical material. 4) finding out the interaction between the application of learning systematic troubleshooting solution and Wanket-Oreovocz. Experimental and demonstration methods have unequal effects. The number of students in this research were 70 students who were divided into two classes, namely the application of learning systematic troubleshooting strategy class amounted 34 students and application of Wanket-Oreovocz troubleshooting strategy class amounted to 36 students in terms of application of experimental and demonstration learning methods. Sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. Research design used in this research was factorial design. Data was analyzed by using Anova technique with SPSS version 16.0 Software. Research results of data analysis in this research used to improve students’ cognitive learning outcomes in terms of application of learning systematic troubleshooting strategy and demonstration method obtained 0.59 which was in moderate “category”, the application of Wanket-Oreovocz troubleshooting strategy and experimental methods obtained 0.56 which was in moderate “category”. Wanket-Oreovocz troubleshooting strategy that obtained 0.61 was also obtanined 0.61. Results hypothesis showed that there is difference in cognitive learning outcomes between the application of learning systematic troubleshooting strategy and Wanket-Oreovcz (sig-value 0.854 > 0,05); there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes between the application of experimental method and demonstration method (sig-value 0.035 < 0.05);and there is no interaction between systematic troubleshooting strategy and Wanket-Oreovcz, which demonstration method was better used than experiment method.

Abstract

The destruction of nature is caused by the wrong human’s point of view towards neighbourhoods. Ecofeminism assumes the caused factor of nature destruction comes from patriarchy culture which more on dualistic logic, hierarchy and the fight for domination. The thought of patriarchy causes destruction of nature and oppression of woman. Ecofeminism thought is interesting to be researched because it offers alternative vision which more sociable and gender balanced. The aim of this research is to explicit, critically evaluate, formulate concept of ecofemisthics ethics thought comprehensively and to reveal new vision relating to keep forest preservation. The chosen literature is analyzed using philosophy method: description, interpretation, and holistic. The result of this research shows that nature preservation is lasting and oppression towards woman is stopped if society abandoned patriarchy thought. Ecofeminism develops the concept of care ethics holistically, interactively, non-reduction, and participatively. Principe of ethics which need to be concerned are responsibility towards the whole biosphere, cosmic solidarity, keeping balance with nature, equal relation, careens and simplicity. The excess of ecofeminism succed in realizing the danger of patriarchy thought towards woman and nature. The weakness of it is that it generalizes and universalizes feministhics values uniformity towards all women instead of a priory negative towards the quality of masculinity values. Ecofeminism develops human moral responsibility based on women special experiences.

Abstract

Parabolic motion is a physics learning material that requires experimentation for its application, so that in the era of the Revolution 4.0 requires something to innovate, so technological progress is very much needed. Experiments using virtual labs are one example of physics learning that is relevant to the current situation. The aim is to determine the use of PhET as an alternative to laboratory space and to study the concept of parabolic motion material theoretically, as well as mathematically to calculate the maximum height, farthest distance with the influence of mass, initial velocity and changes in elevation angles in parabolic motion material. In obtaining data according to research objectives, experimental techniques, observation and documentation were used. The instrument used is a "Projectile Motion" PhET simulation with the objectives to be achieved. Data analysis was carried out in a descriptive qualitative manner. The results showed that using PhET simulation can help understand the concept of parabolic motion and can calculate the maximum height and distance
