THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PRACTICE AND COMMAND TEACHING-STYLE ON THE STUDY RESULT OF THE SHOT-PUT OF THE SMPN-2 SAMBA STUDENTS Yossita Wisman

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the effectiveness of Practice and Command Teaching Style on the study result of the Shot-Put of the second semester eighth grader students in the SMPN-2 Katingan Tengah 2013. The research conducted at SMPN-2 Kecamatan Katingan Tengah, Katingan Regency academic calender 2013. The method used is an experiment method by collecting data on the pretest and post-test with the study result of the Shot-Put as the research instrument. The population in this research is all the students in the class which is 40 students, and the sample is the total of those students (total sample). This sample is divided into 2 groups by even and odd number. Even number group will apply command method and Odd number will apply practice method. The data will be analized using t-test with 5% level of confidence. The result of overall data analysis is as follows: the group with Command teaching style in the post-test has interval 68 to 85 and average value 75,55 while Practice teaching style has interval 67 to 90 and average value of 79,60. From the comparison of posttest between Command Teaching Style and Practice Teaching Style it is found that calculated-t is 2,471 which is bigger than table-t = 2,262 which means that there is a significant difference between those two groups. Therefore, it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (H0) which states that there is no significant difference is rejected and research hypothesis is accepted. It also means that Practice Teaching Style is more effective than Command Teaching Style on the study result of Shot-Put.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this thesis is how the problem of curriculum management in an effort to improve the quality of education in di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Samba Katung Kecamatan Katingan Tengah and how the curriculum management strategy in an effort to improve the quality of education in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Samba Katung Kecamatan Katingan Tengah.Research that the authors do is include qualitative descriptive research and in collecting data authors using interviews, observation and documentation. As for the analysis, the authors use descriptive qualitative analysis techniques, namely in the form of data written or oral from people and behavior observed so that in this case the author seeks to conduct research that is actually.The result of the research that the writer do knows that the problem of curriculum management in improving the quality of education in di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Samba Katung Kecamatan Katingan Tengah is the lack of time allocation, the number of students in one class is too much, and the lack of educational infrastructure facilities. Strategies undertaken in improving the quality of education include: Management of learning activities in subjects is organized entirely by madrasah. Madrasahs can add or change the allocation of subject time according to the needs of students, madrasas or foundations. One lesson is held for 40 minutes. Carry out remidi activities, Implementation of teaching and learning process is not only done in class but can also be in the library and in the porch of the mosque. Procurement of manuals for teachers and students. Hold meetings or deliberations for each otherexchanging information on teaching methods as well as other matters relating to the advancement of science and technology. Giving subjects English and Arabic language using the laboratory. Conducting study groups, Conducting lessons and try out to face national examinations for the third grade. Introduce information and communication technology according to the ability such as computers. The strategy to improve the quality of education is not only limited to the curriculum management but also from another aspect of improving the professionalism of teachers by taking part in MGMP activities, seminars and others.

Abstract

Nowadays, in order to obtain promotion from the rank of Group IVa to IVb, a teacher is required to provide scientific works. However, according to Ministerial Decree No. 16/2009, scientific work has become a promotion requirement from Group IIIb to IIIc; thus, the teacher must have the ability to produce scientific papers. This community service was aimed to provide knowledge and skills for teachers of SMAN 1 Palangka Raya to produce and publish scientific papers in the ISSN local journals. Participants in the activity generally consisted of junior teachers and by using training methods in the form of lectures and questions and answers, demonstrations and practice.

Abstract

Religion is one of the most decisive factors in promoting the values and virtues of life in society. Human and Religion are a couple who always color life. There is no human who is not religious. Religion is part of human life. When religion influences life, at the same time behavior will affect one's life. Through its religious teachings and practices, religion directs the perspective of humans and society. In this article the author wants to discuss how religion plays the role of forming this perspective. The author focuses this study on ritual activities, Scriptures and ethical teachings that are generally carried out in every religion in teaching values. The purpose of this discussion is to raise the reader's awareness about the relevance of religion in human life and the importance of paying attention to the contents of religious teachings in order to promote the common good for all creation.

Abstract

Education is a way for humans throughout their lives to become a means of transmitting and transforming values and knowledge. In the frame of instilling the character of the nation, excluded from education. Character education is important for human life, so the role played by the education world does not only show moral knowledge, it is also agreed to accept and be willing to take real moral actions. The problem of character or morality has become a common problem. Character crisis that is marked by reality in society, it really happened. Not only that, a crisis of trust also occurs in the elite community groups, namely corruption that is increasingly rampant. This demoralization is because the learning process that facilitates moral education and character is merely textual and does not prepare learners to respond to contradictory lives.

Abstract

Guru merupakan komponen pendidikan yang utama. Berbagai komponen pendidikan lainnya, seperti kurikulum, sarana prasarana, dan lainnya tidak akan berarti apa-apa, jika tidak ada guru yang menerapkan dan menggunakannya. Karena demikian pentingnya seorang guru, telah disepakati bahwa guru merupakan tenaga profesional yang membutuhkan berbagai persyaratan yang menjamin profesinya itu dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik. Persyaratan profesi tersebut terus berkembang sesuai dengan tuntutan zaman. Dalam era digital seperti yang terjadi saat ini, guru profesional kembali dipertanyatakan persyaratannya. Selain persyaratan-persyaratan yang telah dimiliki sebelumnya, ia perlu ditambah dengan persyaratan lainnya yang sesuai. Dengan merujuk berbagai literatur yang otoritatif dalam jumlah yang memadai, serta disajikan secara deskriptif analitis, tulisan ini lebih lanjut memfokuskan pembahasannya pada persyaratan guru profesional yang dibutuhkan di era digital.

Abstract

This manuscript is prepared to examine the values of life in the context of character building and education, as well as various factors that influence the dynamics of the application of life values. This paper is a study that analyzes several events as evidence of complex issues surrounding the character of the nation's children. The study discusses the understanding of education outside of school as strengthening character education. This is inseparable from the concern for the character of the nation's next generation. National character education is the development and inheritance of values derived from the outlook on life or ideology of the Indonesian nation, religion, culture, and virtue values formulated by the nation's ancestors and predecessors which have become good habits and are in line with the goals of national education.

Abstract

Education is not just an effort to improve students' skills and knowledge, but also to educate students' character. The facts show that there has been a moral and ethical decline in students from an early age. This is certainly a fundamental concern in education today. Education is not sufficient only in schools, but wherever it is necessary to carry out education in all aspects of students' lives. This text was prepared to examine the values ​​of life in the framework of character development and education, as well as various factors that influence the dynamics of implementing life values. This paper is a study that analyzes several events as evidence of the existence of complex issues surrounding the character of the nation's children. The study discusses the understanding of education outside of school as strengthening character education. This is inseparable from concerns about the low moral values ​​and character of students based on several studies. This study uses the library study method by collecting secondary data from various literature. The data is analyzed and compiled from the results of research on education that is appropriate for that. The results of the study show that education is the development and inheritance of values ​​originating from the outlook on life or ideology of the Indonesian nation, religion, culture, and the virtues formulated by the ancestors and predecessors of the nation which have become good habits and in line with the goals National Education. The role of out-of-school education in strengthening character education lies in the implementation of learning in the community and family environment.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the not maximal learning of physical education. This study aims to determine students' interest in participating in physical education lessons at Tumbang Samba 1 Public High School for the 2020/2021 academic year in Central Katingan District, Katingan Regency. This research is quantitative descriptive. The method used is survey method. The subjects of this research were 44 students of class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Tumbang Samba. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The analysis technique used is pouring the frequency into the form of a percentage. The results of this study indicate that students' interest in participating in physical education learning at SMA Negeri 1 Tumbang Samba is in the moderate category with the highest frequency being in the medium category with 16 students or 36.36%. Students' interest in participating in physical education learning at SMA Negeri 1 Tumbang Samba was in the very high category 3 people or 6.82%, in the high category 9 people or 20.45%, in the medium category 16 people or 36.36%, in the low category 14 people or 31 .82%, and in the very low category 2 people or 4.55%.

Abstract

The school management can mean everything pertaining to the management of the educational process to achieve the stated goals, both short-term goals, medium, or panjang. Tujuan term goal of this research was to determine the school management to improve the quality of education, to include: (1) Planning school programs; (2) The implementation of school programs and (3) Barriers faced. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, techniques of data collection is done through interview, observation guidelines, and documentation. Subjects were principals, supervisors and teachers in primary schools Boarding School-2 Middle Katingan district. Research results found: (1) planning school programs include: teaching programs, including: the need of teachers sharing teaching duties, procurement of textbooks, teaching tools and props, procurement or development of school laboratories, procurement or development of school libraries, system of assessment of learning outcomes, and curricular activities; (2) The implementation of school programs that the strategy adopted to achieve the improvement of the quality of education, include: socialization program, SWOT analysis, problem solving, quality improvement, and monitoring and evaluating the implementation of school programs; and (3) Barriers in planning school programs, among others, lack of community participation and economic difficulties so that their support for the management of low participating schools. It is expected that supervisors in order to direct and supervise principals in improving the quality of education on school program planning, program implementation and obstacles faced by appropriate, effective and efficient so that the quality of education in the schools can be improved.
