Abstract

Pangan adalah salah satu kebutuhan pokok yang mendasar bagi kehidupan manusia. Persediaan pangan merupakan suatu keharusan dalam menjaga stabilitas ketahanan pangan. Konsumsi pangan termasuk jumlah pangan yang di makan seseorang dengan tujuan tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi konsumsi pangan dan ketahanan pangan peternak unggas pada masa pandemi Covid-19 di Kabupaten Probolinggo. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dalam pengambilan data yaitu dengan menyebar kuisioner di Kabupaten Probolinggo. Adapun teknik pengumpulan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 204 rumah tangga peternak unggas. Metode pengambilan sampel ditentukan secara acak sederhana (Simlpe Random Sampling) dengan responden sebanyak 20 % dari populasi . Pengolahan data dari penyebaran kuisioner diolah dengan metode statistik deskriptif kemudian hasil kuisioner diolah menjadi data berupa grafik dan penjelasan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukan pola konsumsi bahwa konsumsi pangan rumah tangga peternak unggas sebesar Rp. 1.226.897 dan tingkat ketahanan pangan rumah tangga peternak unggas pada masa pandemi Covid-19 termasuk dalam kategori tidak tahan pangan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the administration of maggot black soldier fly (BSF) flour in the ration to the feed consumption in layers. The purpose of this research is as information material for researchers, breeders and the community in developing and utilizing maggot black soldier fly (BSF) flour which can be used as feed alternatives in order to support laying hens business. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replications. Treatment P0 (commercial feed), P1 ( commercial feed + maggot flour 5%), P2 (commercial feed + maggot flour 10%). Research Results Data were tested using ANOVA. Further testing to determine the differences between the groups was performed using the DUNCAN test. The lowest feed consumption values ​​were found with P2 treatment and were significantly different from P1 and P0 treatments. The average feed consumption of laying hens in one month of treatment is (grams) 120.14. 199.19; 117: 16. BSF maggots can be used instead of adding protein to the feed of spawning chickens. This is evident from the fact that the lowest feed intake was 117.16 g / head / day with P2 treatment. The results of the study were consistent with the normal feed consumption of laying hens during the spawning season, ranging from 100-120 g / head / day.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 membawa dampak signifikan terhadap kehidupan sosial ekonomi di seluruh dunia, termasuk Indonesia. Dampak kesehatan yang utama menjadi perhatian semua negara di dunia. Hampir semua sektor di seluruh wilayah di Indonesia terkena dampaknya termasuk sektor peternakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak Covid-19 terhadap pendapatan peternak unggas di Kabupaten Probolinggo. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dalam pengambilan data yaitu dengan menyebar kuisioner di Kabupaten Probolinggo. Pengolahan data dari penyebaran kuisioner diolah dengan metode statistik deskriptif kemudian hasil kuisioner diolah menjadi data berupa grafik dan penjelasan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan pendapatan peternak unggas di Kabupten Probolinggo mengalami penurunan pendapatan sebesar 38 %. Abstract

Masalah baru yang dihadapi peternak adalah kenaikan harga pakan ternak, yang akan memaksa peternak mencari alternatif lain untuk menekan biaya pakan. Budidaya maggot merupakan solusi yang tepat untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut sebagai alternatif pakan ternak berprotein tinggi. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memberikan kegiatan pelatihan penangkaran maggot sebagai alternatif pakan ternak di kalangan kelompok ternak sejahtera. Metode pelaksanaan berupa ceramah, diskusi, dan latihan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah antusiasme masyarakat terhadap pelatihan ini, terbukti dengan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam kegiatan dari awal sampai akhir dan banyaknya peserta yang aktif dalam diskusi dan interaksi tanya jawab. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan budidaya maggot berhasil dan peternak dapat memahami pentingnya limbah dalam budidaya maggot sebagai alternatif pakan ayam petelur.

Abstract

This article reviews the effectiveness of probiotic supplements in improving the quality of dairy cow milk with the aim of providing a deep understanding of their impact on milk production and livestock health. Through a literature search from academic databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar, as well as analysis of recent journal articles and research reports, it was found that probiotics can significantly enhance the protein content, fat content, and microbiological stability of milk, as well as improve the balance of intestinal microflora and immune response in cows. Although research results show positive benefits, there is variation in the effectiveness of probiotics influenced by the type of probiotic, dosage, frequency of administration, and farm management conditions. The conclusion of this review is that probiotics have great potential to improve milk quality, but further research is needed to optimize their use under various farming conditions.

Abstract

Introduction: The transformation of agribusiness partnerships in hybrid corn farming has become an important strategy for improving the sustainability of smallholder farming systems. This study aimed to explore the contribution of partnership transformation to the economic, social, and environmental sustainability of community-based hybrid corn farming in the Tani Mulyo Farmer Group, Ponorogo, East Java. Methods: A qualitative case study approach was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, field observations, and document analysis involving members of the Tani Mulyo Farmer Group and relevant stakeholders. Data credibility was strengthened through triangulation, while thematic analysis was used to identify patterns related to farming sustainability. Results: The findings revealed that partnership transformation enhanced farmers’ access to quality inputs, technical assistance, and market opportunities. The partnership also strengthened social capital through increased trust, group cohesion, and collective learning among members. In addition, farmers demonstrated greater adoption of environmentally sustainable practices, including integrated pest management, balanced fertilization, and soil conservation measures. These changes contributed to improved farming resilience and supported the long-term sustainability of hybrid corn production. Conclusion: Agribusiness partnership transformation plays an important role in strengthening the economic resilience, social capacity, and environmental sustainability of community-based hybrid corn farming. The findings highlight the importance of institutional collaboration in promoting sustainable agricultural development and improving the viability of smallholder farming communities.
