Abstract

Kosmetik tradisional adalah kosmetik yang terdiri atas bahan-bahan yang berasal dari alam dan diolah secara tradisional. Contoh bentuk sediaan kosmetik adalah sabun. Dalampenelitian ini dibuat pati jagung dalam bentuk sabun padat natural dengan metode dingin, dengan tujuan agar tanaman jagungdapat digunakan sebagai sediaan kosmetik tradisionalselain sebagai bahan pangan.Formulasi sabun padat natural dengan pati jagung sebagai zat aktifnya, NaOH, minyak sawit, minyak kelapa murni, minyak zaitun , parfum,danaquadestsebagai bahan dasar pembuatan sabun padat natural. Pertama pembuatan pati jagung, kemudian dibuat sabun padat natural dengan Formula I, II, III dengan kadar pati jagungmasing-masing2,0g, 4,0g, 8,0g. Evaluasi sabun yang dilakukan adalah uji organoleptis (bentuk, bau, warna),uji sifat fisik meliputi uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji ketegaran, uji busa, dan uji iritasi kulit. Dari semua evaluasi sabun yang dilakukan maka hasil yang diperoleh ketiga formula dengan pati jagungpada kadar 2,0g, 4,0g, 8,0g dapat dibuat sabun padat natural dengan metode dingin, dan F III (kadar pati jagung 8,0g) lebih bagus dibanding F I dan F II karena mempunyai bentuk dan sifat fisik yang baik, tidak iritasi dan memenuhi syarat uji sifat fisik.

Abstract

The use of Citrus microcarpa essential oil is not widely known by the public. contains antioxidant compounds such as limonen and vitamin C. The dosage formulation is made in the form of Gel Mask (Peel-Off Mask) because Gel Mask (Peel-Off Mask) is a mask that is practical in its use, after drying the mask can be removed immediately and is able to remove the remnants of dirt that sticks to the surface of the facial skin. The process of making Gel Masks (Peel-Off Mask) of Kalamansi Orange Essential Oil (Citrus microcarpa) uses a variation of the concentration of Kalamansi Orange Essential Oil (Citrus microcarpa) 2%, 4%, 6%, the base used as Gelling Agent is PVA and HPMC, and evaluation of dosage includes organoleptic test, homogeneity test, dispersion test, dry time test, pH test, preference test or hedonic test. The results showed that Kalamansi Orange Essential Oil (Citrus microcarpa) can be made with a gel mask (Peel-Off Mask) and the difference in concentration can affect the physical properties of the Peel-Off Mask which includes the consistency and odor of the Gel Mask (Peel-Off Mask). Of the four formulas (F0, F1, F2, F3) the best preparation is F3 with a concentration of Kalamansi Orange Essential Oil (Citrus microcarpa) 6%.

Abstract

Solid dispersion made with the weight ratio (b/b) using the dissolving method. DTA analysis of the solid dispersion obtained in Eudragit L 100 affects the position and sharpness of the peak. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that of clarithromycin - Eudragit L 100 is in amorphous form and did not produce a new crystalline phase. SEM analysis showed that crystalline of Eudragit L 100 is smaller (amorphous) and stick to the surface of the clarithromycin crystal. IR spectrophotometer analysis showed that there is no chemical interaction between clarithromycin and Eudragit L 100. Clarithromycin assay was done by HPLC method, using mobile phase methanol and 0.067 M KH2PO4 (13:7) plus fospat acid pH 4.0. The dissolution profile by the time of 60 minutes are clarithromycin 45.73%, CF (1:1) 49.86%, DP (1:1) 51.53%, DP (2:1) 55.87% and DP (1:2) 58.97% respectively. Solid dispersion 1:2 (w/w) have an increased dissolution rate compared to clarithromycin.

Abstract

Traditional medicine is an ancestral cultural heritage derived from natural materials and to this day continue to be used by the general public. One of the plants that can be used as a traditional medicine is a plant Senggani (Melastoma malabathricum L). The purpose of this study was to determine the saponins contained from flower extracts Senggani (Melastoma malabathricum L) and percent saponin levels of Senggani flower extract (Melastoma malabathricum L). Extraction is done by maceration using ethanol 96% for 5 days. Extraction obtained is then concentrated by means of a rotary evaporator. The results were qualitative identification of the foam test and color test and quantitative assay with gravimetric method.Based on research conducted Senggani ethanol extracts of flowers (Melastoma malabathricum L) contains saponins types of triterpenoids seen from the ring in maroon and obtained the average level of interest saponin Senggani (Melastoma malabathricum L) is 11.46%.

Abstract

Salah satu bahan alam yang dapat digunakan sebgai obat yaitu kulit buah mangga (Mangifera indica L.) yang mempunyai manfaat sebagai antioksidan, antibakteri, antivirus dan antikanker. Kulit buah mangga memiliki kandungan senyawa flavonoid yang diketahui memiliki aktivitas sebagai antibakteri. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui potensi terhadap aktivitas antibakteri dari ekstrak etanol kulit buah mangga (Mangifera indica L.)terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus.Pembuatan ekstrak etanol kulit buah dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode maserasi selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian daya hambat bakteri staphylococcus aureus, dengan proses peremajaan biakan murni bakteri staphylococcus aureus dengan menggunakan metode difusi cakram, dilanjutkan dengan pembuatan media Na (Nutrient agar) dan media Nb (Nutrien broth), konsentrasi ekstrak etanol Kulit Buah Mangga (Mangifera indica L.) yang digunakan adalah 5%, 7,5%, 10%. Kontrol positif yang digunakan adalah Amoxsan capsul dan kontrol negatif menggunakan aquadest.Hasil data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode Kruskal Wallis Test pada program SPSS 16 dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% atau α = 0,05. Ekstrak Kulit Buah Mangga (Mangifera indica L.) mempunyai daya hambat terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Telah di buktikan dengan adanya zona bening dan uji Kruskal Wallis Test adalah Asymp.Sig<0,05 maka ada perbedaan konsentrasi ekstrak Kulit Buah Mangga (Mangifera indica L.)

Abstract

One of the medicinal plants that can be used as a source of natural medicine is mango (Mangifera indica L.) because it contains secondary metabolite compounds, mango plants contain many benefits both at the root, skin, leaves, fruits and seeds. Mango skin contains important active compounds such as phenolic compounds, carotenoids, flavonoids and anthocyanins. Sweet Arum mango skin has antibacterial activity. The extraction method used is maceration with 96% ethanol solvent. The formulation was prepared using Na.CMC as a gelling agent with a concentration of 2%, 4%, 8%. The evaluation test of mango skin extract hand sanitazer preparation includes organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, spreadability test, sticking test, irritation test and antibacterial test. The results showed that the physical properties of the gel preparations had an influence on the physical properties of the mango skin extract gel (Mangifera indica L). Based on the antibacterial activity test the concentration of 2%, 4%, 8% which most strongly shows the antibacterial activity at a concentration of 8% with an average value of 18.28 mm.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Binahong leaf (Anredera cordifolia (Ten)) is one of the plants that empirically contains many secondary metabolites, one of which is flavonoid compounds. This study aims to examine the effect of ethanol extract of binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia(Ten.)) using maceration and soxhletation extraction methods and will compare the results of identification and assay of extracts of binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia(Ten.)) using spectrophotometric methods UV-Vis. The extraction process by maceration and soxhletation was carried out to obtain binahong leaf extract (Anredera cordifolia(Ten.)). Then the identification of flavonoid compounds with the addition of Mg and HCl powder which is positive for flavonoids if the color is yellow-orange. Determination of levels of flavonoid compounds from binahong leaf extract (Anredera cordifolia(Ten)) by spectrophotometric method Uv-Vis.The results showed that the leaf extract of binahong (Anredera cordifolia(Ten)) using maceration and soxhletation methods positively contained flavonoids, seen from the color produced, namely orange. And obtained the average level of flavonoid ethanol extract of the leaves of binahong (Anredera cordifolia(Ten)) maceration method is 2.43%. While the average content of flavonoids in the ethanol extract of the leaves of binahong (Anredera cordifolia(Ten)) using the soxhletation method was 1.76%.
