Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of resilience at work on work-life balance in high school teachers in Bandung with 159 teachers as a subject. The research method used is the causality method with quantitative design. The measuring instrument used in this research is the resilience at work measuring instrument from Malik and Garg (1) and work-life balance scale from Fisher's measuring instrument adapted by Gunawan (2). The sampling technique in this study used the quota sampling technique. The analytical technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that 88% of high school teachers in Bandung City had a high level of resilience at work and 89% of high school teachers had a high work-life balance. The results of the hypothesis test state that workplace resilience has a positive and significant effect on work life balance of 42%. Then the results resilience at work's dimension on work-life balance had states that the dimensions have the largest to the smallest influence are managing stress 0.245, building social relationships 0.204, staying healthy 0.186, for your calling 0.166, maintaining perspective 0.161, and living, authentic 0.127. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh resilience at work terhadap work life balance pada guru SMA di Kota Bandung dengan jumlah subjek 159 guru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kausalitas dengan desain kuantitatif. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah alat ukur resilience at work dari Malik dan Garg (1) yang diadaptasi oleh peneliti dan alat ukur Fisher yang diadaptasi oleh Gunawan (2). Teknik sampling pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik quota sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 88% guru SMA di Kota Bandung memiliki tingkat resilience at work yang tinggi dan 89% guru SMA memiliki tingkat work life balance yang tinggi. Hasil uji hipotesis menyatakan bahwa resilience at work berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap work life balance sebesar 42%. Kemudian hasil uji setiap dimensi resilience at wor terhadap work life balance menyatakan bahwa semua dimensi memiliki nilai positif dan berpengaruh secara signifikan. Dengan dimensi yang memiliki pengaruh paling besar hingga paling kecil adalah managing stress 0,245, building social connection 0,204, staying healthy 0,186, for your calling 0,166, maintaining perspective 0,161, dan living, authentically 0,127.

Abstract

Abstract. Work-Family Enrichment is defined as the extent to which the experience of one role is able to improve the quality of life of other roles (Greenhaus & Powel, 2006). Work engagement is a positive motivational affective state characterized by vigor, dedication, and absorption (Schaufeli et al., 2002), and is influenced by job demands and job resources (Schaufeli & Bakker, 2004). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Work Engagement on Work-Family Enrichment in dental nurses. With reference to Work-Family Enrichment theory from Greenhaus & Powell (2006) and Work Engagement theory from Schaufeli & Bakker (2002). This study used a causal quantitative research method with a sample of 71 dental nurses. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression test. To measure Work Engagement using the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-9 (UWES-9) developed by Schaufelli & Bakker (2003). Meanwhile, to measure Work-Family Enrichment using a measurement scale from Carlson et al., (2006). The results of the study show that the Rsquare (R2) value is 0.344, meaning that Work Engagement can have a 34.4% effect on Work-Family Enrichment. With dimensions of vigor to WFE of 33.4% and dimensions of vigor to FWE of 28.4% as the dimensions that contribute the greatest influence. Abstrak. Work-Family Enrichment dimaknai sebagai sejauh mana pengalaman dari suatu peran mampu meningkatkan kualitas kehidupan peran lainnya (Greenhaus & Powel, 2006). Work engagement merupakan keadaan afektif motivasional positif yang ditandai dengan adanya vigor, dedication, dan absorption (Schaufeli et al., 2002), dan dipengaruhi oleh job demands dan job resources (Schaufeli & Bakker, 2004). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Work Engagement terhadap Work-Family Enrichment pada perawat gigi . Dengan mengacu pada teori Work-Family Enrichment dari Greenhaus & Powell (2006) dan teori Work Engagement dari Schaufeli & Bakker (2002). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif kausalitas dengan sampel sebanyak 71 orang perawat gigi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linier berganda. Untuk mengukur Work Engagement menggunakan Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-9 (UWES-9) yang dikembangkan oleh Schaufelli & Bakker (2003). Sedangkan untuk mengukur Work-Family Enrichment menggunakan skala pengukuran dari Carlson et al., (2006). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai Rsquare (R2) sebesar 0.344, artinya Work Engagement dapat memberikan pengaruh sebesar 34,4% terhadap Work-Family Enrichment. Dengan dimensi vigor terhadap WFE sebesar 33,4% dan dimensi vigor terhadap FWE sebesar 28,4% sebagai dimensi yang memberikan sumbangan pengaruh terbesar.

Abstract

Abstract. Self-Compassion is an intrapersonal process of understanding pain and understanding that struggle is part of the human experience (Neff, 2003a, 2003b). Self-compassion according to Neff and Germer (2017) will make individuals feel able to develop competencies, and make a greater effort to maintain higher persistence towards goals even when faced with difficulties, therefore according to Lewis and Ebbeck (2014) the element of self-compassion increases positive outcomes and makes individuals more resilient at work (resilience at work). This study aims to determine how much influence Self-Compassion has on Resilience at Work. This research was conducted on high school teachers (SMA) in the city of Bandung with a subject of 157 teachers. This study uses a scale with the Resilience at Work measuring instrument from Malik and Garg (2018) which was adapted by the researcher, and the Self-Compassion Scale from Neff (2003) which was adapted by Sugianto, Christiany, and Sandra (2020). The results showed that 88.5% of teachers had high Resilience at Work and 90.4% of teachers had high Self-Compassion. The effect of Self-Compassion on Resilience at Work in this study was 41.8%. The data analysis technique uses Simple Linear Regression. The results of the research show that there is a positive relationship where for every addition of 1% Self-Compassion, the Resilience at Work on the teacher increases by 0.603. Abstrak. Self-Compassion adalah suatu proses intrapersonal untuk memahami rasa sakit dan memahami bahwa perjuangan termasuk bagian dari pengalaman manusia (Neff, 2003a, 2003b). Self-compassion menurut Neff dan Germer (2017) akan membuat individu merasa mampu mengembangkan kompetensi ,dan melakukan usaha yang lebih besar untuk mempertahankan kegigihan yang lebih tinggi terhadap tujuan bahkan ketika dihadapkan dengan kesulitan, oleh karena itu menurut Lewis dan Ebbeck (2014) elemen self-compassion meningkatkan hasil positif dan membuat individu lebih memiliki resiliensi pada pekerjaanya (resilience at work) . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh Self-Compassion terhadap Resilience at Work. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Guru Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di Kota Bandung dengan subjek sebanyak 157 guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala dengan alat ukur Resilience at Work dari Malik dan Garg (2018) yang diadaptasi oleh peneliti, dan alat ukur Skala Self-Compassion dari Neff (2003) yang diadaptasi oleh Sugianto, Christiany, dan Sandra (2020). Hasil penelitian menunjukan 88.5% guru memiliki Resilience at Work yang tinggi dan 90.4% guru memiliki Self-Compassion yang tinggi. Pengaruh Self-Compassion terhadap Resilience at Work pada penelitian ini sebesar 41.8%. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Regresi Linier Sederhana. Hasil penelitain menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang postif dimana setiap penambahan 1% Self-Compassion maka Resilience at Work pada guru meningkat 0.603.

Abstract

Abstract. Work engagement is a positive individual state of mind that can express itself well in terms of physical, psychological, and affective into the work. Resilience at work is an ability of compromising with oneself in managing and adapting the stressor that can be developed to balance the work tension in workplace. Veterinarians are one of the professions in the health sector that have high job demands related to work stress and fatigue so that it has an impact on work performance. This research uses a non-experimental quantitative research method with the aim of analyzing the effect of resilience at work on workengagement in veterinarians. The participants included of 94 veterinarians who are members of PDHI West Java 1. Data collection was carried out using the Resilience At Work (RAW) Scale from Malik and Garg (2018) which was adapted by researchers and the Ultrecht Work Engagement Scale-17 (UWES- 17) by Schaufeli & Bakker (2004). The results showed that there was a significant effect of resilience at work on work engagement of 60.7%. The results of multiple regression show that the aspect of building social connection has the highest significant effect on work engagement.Abstrak. Work engagement merupakan sebuah keadaan pikiran individu yang positif sehingga dapat mengekspresikan dirinya dengan baik dari segi fisik, psikis, dan afektif ke dalam pekerjaannya. Resilience at work merupakan kemampuan berkompromi dengan diri sendiri dalam mengelola dan beradaptasi dengan sumber stres yang bisa dikembangkan untuk mengimbangi ketegangan kerja di tempat kerja. Dokter hewan merupakan salah satu profesi di bidang kesehatan yang memiliki tuntutan pekerjaan tinggi yang berkaitan dengan stres kerja dan kelelahan sehingga berdampak pada perfroma kerja. Penelitian menggunakanmetode penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat kausalitas non-eksperimental dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh resilience at work terhadap work engagement pada dokter hewan. Partisipan terdiri dari 94 orang dokter hewan anggota PDHI Jawa Barat 1. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat ukur Resilience At Work (RAW) Scale dari Malik dan Garg (2018) yang telah diadaptasi peneliti dan Ultrecht Work Engagement Scale-17 (UWES-17) yang dirancang oleh Schaufeli & Bakker (2004). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan resilience at work terhadap work engagement sebesar 60,7%. Hasil multiple regression menunjukkan bahwa aspek building social connection memberikan pengaruh signifikan tertinggi terhadap work engagement.

Abstract

Abstract. The level and type of work certainly has its own conflicts, so individuals must have the ability to balance between the two roles (Nik Ssafiah, in Sabil et al., 2016). Work and family are important things in everyday life. When these two roles do not work properly, conflicts between work and family often occur or commonly called Work Family Conflict (Netemeyer et al., 1996). This resilience is a psychological response that can help overcome difficulties and stressful situations, therefore this resilience is a positive adaptation to assist individuals in dealing with stressful situations in the work spectrum (Winwood et al., 2013). This study aims to obtain the results of a study on the Effect of Resilience at Work on Work Family Conflict in Female Nurses. The subjects in this study were 71 female nurses. The measuring instrument used in this research is the resilience at work tool from Malik and Garg (2018) which was adapted by the researcher and Work Family Conflict from Netmeyer et al., 1996 adapted by (Ignatia Dimarda, 2020). The analytical technique used is simple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that the influence of the Resilience at Work variable on Work Family Conflict is 0.536 or 53.6%. Abstrak. Tingkat dan jenis pekerjaan tentunya memiliki konflik tersendiri, sehinga individu harus memiliki kemampuan untuk menyeimbangkan antar kedua peran (Nik Ssafiah, dalam Sabil et al., 2016). Pekerjaan dan keluarga merupakan hal yang penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Ketika kedua peran ini tidak berjalan dengan sesuai, konflik antar pekerjaan dan keluarga sering terjadi atau biasa disebut Work Family Conflict (Netemeyer et al., 1996). Resiliensi ini merupakan respons psikologis yang dapat membantu mengatasi kesulitan dan situasi menekan, oleh karena itu resiliensi ini merupakan adaptasi yang positif untuk membantu individu dalam menghadapi situasi menekan dalam spektrum pekerjaan (Winwood et al., 2013). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh hasil kajian mengenai Pengaruh Resilience at Work Terhadap Work Family Conflict Pada Perawat Wanita. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 71 perawat wanita. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah alat ukur resilience at work dari Malik dan Garg (2018) yang diadaptasi oleh peneliti dan Work Family Conflict dari Netmeyer et al., 1996 di adaptasi oleh (Ignatia Dimarda, 2020). Tenkik analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linear sederhana. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan besarnya pengaruh variabel Resilience at Work terhadap Work Family Conflict sebesar 0,536 atau 53,6%.

Abstract

Abstract. Organizational change is something that cannot be avoided to achieve success in the competitive world of work, continuity and existence of the organization. An important factor in the success of an organization to make changes is individual readiness to change (readiness for change). Readiness for change is the extent to which individuals cognitively and emotionally have the desire to accept, embrace and adapt a change plan. Employee readiness to face change will have a positive orientation towards the organization when it has perceived organizational support. This study aims to see how much influence perceived organizational support has on readiness for change in 90 public high school teachers in Cianjur District. The measuring tool used is the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support (SPOS) which refers to the theory of Eisenberger et al. (1986) and the readiness for organizational change scale which refers to the theory of Holt et al., (2007). The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. The method used is causality quantitative method with simple linear regression analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that perceived organizational support has a significant effect on readiness for change by 77.1% Abstrak. Perubahan organisasi merupakan hal yang tidak dapat dihindari untuk mencapai keberhasilan dalam persaingan dunia kerja, kelangsungan serta eksistensi organisasi. Faktor penting dalam keberhasilan organisasi untuk melakukan perubahan yaitu kesiapan individu untuk berubah (readiness for change). Readiness for change adalah sejauh mana individu secara kognitif dan emosional memiliki keinginan untuk menerima, merangkul dan mengadaptasi rencana perubahan. Kesiapan karyawan menghadapi perubahan akan memiliki orientasi positif terhadap organisasi ketika memiliki perceived organizational support. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat seberapa besar pengaruh perceived organizational support terhadap readiness for change pada 90 guru SMA Negeri di Kecamatan Cianjur. Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu Survey of Perceived Organizational Support (SPOS) yang mengacu pada teori Eisenberger et al. (1986) dan readiness for organizational change scale yang mengacu pada teori Holt et al., (2007). Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif kausalitas dengan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perceived organizational support berpengaruh signifikan terhadap readiness for change sebesar 77.1%.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine how much career exploration contributes to work readiness in fresh graduates in Bandung City. According to Caballero and Walker (2010) work readiness is the extent to which graduates have the skills and qualities that make them ready for success in the workplace. According to Stumpf et al., (1983) career exploration is behavior aimed at obtaining information about work or organizations. The subjects of this study were 197 fresh graduates in Bandung City. The hypothesis of this study is that career exploration contributes significantly to work readiness in fresh graduates in Bandung City. The method used is quantitative, causality design with simple regression analysis. The measuring instrument used is the Career exploration Survey (CES) developed by Stumpf et al. (1983) and adapted into Indonesian by Preston and Salim (2019). The work readiness measuring instrument uses the work readiness scale (WRS) developed by Caballero and Walker (2010) and has been adapted and modified into Indonesian by Wijayanti (2019). The results showed 63% of fresh graduates had high career exploration and 60% had a high level of work readiness. The results of regression analysis show an R Square value of 0.564, so it can be said that career exploration contributes 56.4% to work readiness in fresh graduates in Bandung City. Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi career exploration terhadap work readiness pada fresh graduate di Kota Bandung. Menurut Caballero dan Walker (2010) work readiness merupakan sejauh mana lulusan memiliki keterampilan dan kualitas yang membuat siap untuk sukses di tempat kerja. Menurut Stumpf et al., (1983) career exploration adalah perilaku yang ditujukan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai pekerjaan atau organisasi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu 197 fresh graduate di Kota Bandung. Hipotesis penelitian ini yaitu career exploration berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap work readiness pada fresh graduate di Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif, desain kausalitas dengan analisis regresi sederhana. Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu Career exploration Survey (CES) yang dikembangkan oleh Stumpf et al. (1983) dan diadaptasi kedalam bahasa indonesia oleh Preston dan Salim (2019). Alat ukur work readiness menggunakan work readiness scale (WRS) yang dikembangkan oleh Caballero dan Walker (2010) dan telah diadaptasi dan dimodifikasi kedalam bahasa Indonesia oleh Wijayanti (2019). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 63% fresh graduate memiliki career exploration yang tinggi dan 60% memiliki tingkat work readiness yang tinggi. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan nilai R Square 0,564, sehingga dapat dikatakan Career exploration memberikan kontribusi sebanyak 56.4% terhadap work readiness pada fresh graduate di Kota Bandung.

Abstract

Abstract. Innovative Work Behavior is individual behavior that aims to reach the introduction stage or try to introduce new and useful ideas, processes, products or procedures in work, groups or organizations. To display innovative work behavior, teachers need a strong perception of management and superior support or what is called perceived organizational support which consists of three dimensions, namely fairness, supervisor support, and organizational rewards and job conditions (Afsar & Kiani, 2016). This study aims to see how much influence perceived organizational support has on innovative work behavior in 224 special education school teacher. The measurement tools used are Measuring innovative work behavior which refers to the theory of De Jong & Den Hartog (2010) and SPOS (Survey Perceived Organizational Support) which refers to the theory of Eisenberger et al. (1986). The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. The method used is a causality quantitative method with simple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of the study show that perceived organizational support has a significant effect on innovative work behavior in SLB teachers by 33.9%. Abstrak. Innovative Work Behaviour adalah perilaku individu yang bertujuan untuk mencapai tahap pengenalan atau berusaha mengenalkan ide-ide, proses, produk atau prosedur yang baru dan berguna di dalam pekerjaan, kelompok atau organisasi. Untuk menampilkan innovative work behavior, guru membutuhkan persepsi yang kuat dari manajemen dan dukungan atasan atau yang disebut perceived organizational support yang terdiri dari tiga dimensi, yaitu fairness, supervisor support, serta organizational rewards dan job conditions (Afsar & Kiani, 2016). Abstract

Abstract. Work engagement (Schaufeli and Bakker, 2004; Schaufeli, 2012) is a state of affective motivation or positive thinking in which employees feel energetic (vigor), enthusiastic (dedication), and immersed in their activities (absorption). Work life balance (Fisher et al., 2009) defines the balance between work and personal life that affects individual well-being. This study aims to determine the effect of work life balance on work engagement in special school teachers. This study used a sample of 214 permanent special school teachers. The hypothesis in this study is that work life balance has a significant effect on work engagement in special school teachers. The method used in this research is quantitative causality method using multiple linear regression analysis techniques using a sample of 214 respondents. The measuring instrument used is the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) developed by Schaufeli and Bakker (2004) which was adapted by Kristiana et al. (2018) into a 9-item version and a work life balance measuring instrument developed by Fisher et al. (2009) which was adapted by Gunawan et al. (2019). The results of this study indicate that simultaneously, work life balance influences work engagement by 12.9%. While partially, only the Personal Life Enhancement of Work (PLEW) dimension has an influence, which is 12.7%. Abstrak. Work engagement (Schaufeli dan Bakker, 2004; Schaufeli, 2012) merupakan keadaan motivasi afektif atau pemikiran positif yang di mana karyawan merasakan energik (vigor), antusias (dedication), dan tenggelam dalam aktivitas mereka (absorption). Work life balance (Fisher et al., 2009) mendefisikan keseimbangan antara pekerjaan dan kehidupan pribadi yang berpengaruh untuk kesejahteraan individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh work life balance terhadap work engagement pada guru Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB). Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel guru tetap SLB sebanyak 214 orang. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah work life balance berpengaruh signifikan terhadap work engagement pada guru SLB. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif kausalitas dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda yang menggunakan sampel responden sebanyak 214 orang. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) yang dikembangkan oleh Schaufeli dan Bakker (2004) yang diadaptasi oleh Kristiana et al. (2018) menjadi versi 9 item dan alat ukur work life balance yang dikembangkan oleh Fisher et al. (2009) yang diadaptasikan oleh Gunawan et al. (2019). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan, work life balance memberikan pengaruh terhadap work engagement sebesar 12.9%. Sedangkan secara parsial hanya dimensi Personal Life Enhancement of Work (PLEW) memberikan pengaruh yaitu sebesar 12.7%.

Abstract

Abstract. Teacher efficacy is one factor that has the potential to differentiate between teachers, because there are differences in perceptions regarding efficacy when teaching to different students or in various situations. Social support is an important factor in teacher efficacy. Work Engagement can play a role in the relationship between social support and teacher efficacy. However, cultural differences can affect all three. Apart from that, social support can come from various sources outside of family, friends and those closest to you. This research aims to determine the relationship between social support and teacher efficacy through work engagement in 214 special education school teachers in Bandung City. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with Spearman Rank & Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) correlation test analysis. The measuring instrument used is the Revised-Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (R-MSPSS) measuring instrument developed by Ho and Chan and adapted by Oktarina et al (2021), Teacher's Sense of Efficacy Scale adapted by Maulana et al (2020) and The Utrecth Work Engagement Scale which has been adapted by Febrian Kristiana et al (2018). The research results show that there is a positive relationship between social support and teacher efficacy in special school teachers in Bandung City (r = 0.338). Then work engagement does not have a mediating role. Abstrak. Teacher efficacy merupakan salah satu faktor yang berpotensi membedakan antar guru, karena terdapatnya perbedaan persepsi terkait efficacy ketika mengajar pada siswa yang berbeda atau dalam berbagai situasi. Social support merupakan faktor penting dalam teacher efficacy. Work Engagement dapat berperan dalam hubungan social support dan teacher efficacy. Namun, perbedaan budaya dapat mempengaruhi ketiganya. Selain itu, social support dapat muncul dari berbagai sumber di luar keluarga, teman, dan orang terdekat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan social support terhadap teacher efficacy melalui work engagement pada 214 orang guru SLB di Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan analisis uji korelasi Spearman Rank & Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah alat ukur Revised-Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (R-MSPSS) yang dikembangkan oleh Ho dan Chan dan diadaptasi oleh Oktarina et al (2021), Teacher’s Sense of Efficacy Scale diadaptasi oleh Maulana et al (2020) dan The Utrecth Work Engagement Scale yang telah diadaptasi oleh Febrian Kristiana et al (2018). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hubungan positif antara social support dan teacher efficacy pada guru SLB di Kota Bandung (r = 0,338). Lalu work engagement tidak memiliki peran sebagai mediasi.
