Abstract

This study aims to find out how the role of parents in educating mentally retarded children during the Covid-19 pandemic is and how they are interested in learning with mentally retarded children during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive design, this research lasts for several days. Data collection procedures in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that parents play an important role in the learning of children with special needs for mental retardation during the covid-19 pandemic. This is evidenced when children take online learning, parents prepare facilities that will be used by children during online learning and parents guide during learning. And the learning interest of children with special needs for mental retardation in learning is very high. very enthusiastic in doing the assignments given by the teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' critical thinking skills in solving math problems for class XI AKL 1 SMK Negeri 4 Makassar in the matter of a system of two-variable linear equations using word problems. The research method is descriptive with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The subject of this research was taken 4 students namely 2 students with high critical ability and 2 students with low critical ability from 34 students of class XI AKL 1 SMK Negeri 4 Makassar. The process of critical thinking skills in solving math problems students who have high critical thinking skills can solve problems because they have previously understood the material and examples of questions given, and worked carefully and thoroughly. While students with low critical thinking skills still do not understand the material and examples of questions given by researchers so that in solving math problems there are several steps to solving them that they do not understand

Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in culture from various ethnic groups. Culture can be applied in schools through culture-based learning. Toraja is one of the tribes in Indonesia that has a variety of cultures. Woven craft is one of the cultures occupied by the Toraja people since ancient times until now. Weaving pa'binti' is a woven craft of the Toraja people, especially the Sa'dan area, which is made from yarn. In pa'binti weaving, there are mathematical concepts in it in the form of flat shapes. The purpose of this study was to determine the geometric concepts contained in the pa'binti woven woven craft of the Toraja people. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to study and understand more deeply about ethnomatics in the woven weaving craft of the Toraja people. The research location is in the North Toraja area, namely in Lembang Sa'dan Ulusalu, Sa'dan sub-district. The results of this study are that there is a geometric concept in the pa'binti woven woven craft of the Toraja people where the geometric concepts contained in the pa'binti woven woven craft include; flat triangle, rhombus, square, and parallelogram.

Abstract

Tana Toraja merupakan salah satu daerah yang juga sangat kental dengan budayanya. Budaya tersebut banyak ditemukan unsur-unsur matematika. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi dan menyelidiki konsep matematika yang terdapat dalam ornamen Tulak Somba di rumah adat (Tongkonan) Toraja. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian etnografis dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, sedangkan data sekunder dari hasil observasi, dokumentasi, dan penelitian terlebih dahulu yang relevan. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan konsep matematika yang terdapat dalam ornament Tulak Somba pada Rumah Tongkonan Toraja pada kativitas etnomatematika yaitu: 1) Aktivitas membilang atau menghitung (counting) berkaitan dengan konsep bilangan genap, yakni terkait jumlah kerbau yang dikorbankan pada saat upacara pemakaman di Toraja khususnya di lembang Sillanan. 2) Aktifitas mengukur (measuring) berhubungan dengan konsep sudut, yakni terkait dengan sudut kemiringan atap atau longa yang ditopang oleh Tulak Somba. 3) Aktivitas menentukan arah dan lokasi (locating) yakni terkait arah pemasangan motif tanduk kerbau (utara dan selatan). Hadirnya etnomatematika di masa depan bisa meningkatkan atau mengembangkan pelajaran berkaitan dengan bangunan Rumah Adat (Tongkonan) tujuannya agar lebih spesifik atau berkembangnya konsep matematika yang sudah diketahui.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka memberikan keleluasaan kepada guru untuk menciptakan pembelajaran berkualitas yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan lingkungan belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, guru harus memperhatikan strategi belajar mengajar agar tercipta situasi belajar yang efektif dan efisien, salah satunya adalah melalui penerapan strategi Prediction Guide dalam pembelajaran kooperatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa melalui penerapan strategi Prediction Guide dalam pembelajaran kooperatif. Kami menggunakan metode pre-experimental dengan melibatkan 30 siswa kelas VIII di MTs DDI Gusung Makassar. Melalui desain Pre-test and Post-test Group kami melihat sejauh mana peningkatan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan metode tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah diajar melalui strategi prediction guide dalam pembelajaran kooperatif lebih besar dibandingkan dengan sebelum diajar melalui strategi prediction guide dalam pembelajaran kooperatif. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi prediction guide dalam pembelajaran kooperatif efektif gunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how students' problem-solving abilities use Polya stages in completing space building material. The research method is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were taken by 3 students from 27 students of grade VIII.f SMP Negeri 2 Galesong Selatan. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the ability to solve mathematical problems to solve the material to build space with the Polya stage is a high-ability student, that is, students are able to meet the problem-solving indicators even though there are some indicators that are not written down but can be explained at the interview, and it does not mean that students are not able to solve the problem. It's just that students don't want to be complicated and rewrite which in the end is rewritten in the next indicator. Students with moderate ability, namely students are able to meet the indicators of problem solving, but there are some students who misunderstand the concept of solving problems, because they do not match what is planned with what is written in solving problems because students are in a hurry to solve problems. Low-ability students, namely students are only able to meet 2 indicators because they do not understand the plan to be used in solving the problem.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a contraceptive education pocket book for the fishing community of Pitusingguh. The research employed a developmental approach, involving needs analysis, expert validation, and limited trials. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and questionnaires, and then analyzed using descriptive and content analysis techniques. The results showed that the developed pocket book effectively addressed the unique needs of the coastal community, with expert validation scores averaging above 4 out of 5 for accuracy, content relevance, and visual appeal. Limited trials with 15 coastal women revealed high levels of comprehension and information relevance (average scores of 4 and 4.5 out of 5, respectively). The study found that incorporating cultural sensitivity, integrating community-based health services, and implementing behavior change communication strategies were crucial in creating an acceptable and relevant educational tool. The pocket book shows potential for improving knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding contraceptive use among the Pitusingguh fishing community, although further content adjustments are recommended to accommodate various education levels.
