Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun desain sistem pengelolaan sampah terpadu di UNU NTB. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantatif dan deskriptif kualitatif yakni dengan mengunakan studi literatur dan observasi lapangan. Dari hasil analis, desain sistem pengelolaan sampah di UNU NTB disarankan mengacu dan mengadaptasikan desain pengelolaan sampah sesuai dengan UU No. 18 Tahun 2008 da SNI 19-2454-2002 yang meliputi penampungan berdasarkan 4 kategori (organik, anorganik, besi/logam, plastik dan B3), pemilahan berdasarkan nilai ekonomi, pengumpulan secara komunal dan pengolahan di Tempat Penampungan Sementara (TPS) dan selanjutnya sampah residu diangkut ke Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir (TPA). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan pengelolaan sampah di kampus UNU NTB masih membutuhkan berbagai fasilitas penunjang sehingga pengelolaan sampah dapat terlaksana secara mandiri dan terpadu. Fasilitas penunjang ini diantaranya tempat sampah 4 kategori, motor pengangkut, dumptruck, peralatan pendamping (pH meter, mesin pirolisis, neraca analitik, furnace, conductivity meter), dan TPS. Abstract: This study aims to set an integrated waste management system in UNU NTB. The methods used in this study are quantitative and descriptive – qualitative methods which are conducted by literature review and field observation. Based on the result of the analysis, the integrated waste management system in UNU NTB is suggested to comply and adapt the Law No. 18 year 2008 and SNI 19-2454-2002 covering storing in four categories (organic, anorganic, metal, plastics and hazardous materials), collective separation according to the economic values of the waste, waste treatment in temporarily storage unit (TPS), and the residual waste then delivered to the final processing unit (TPA). Hence, it can be concluded that waste management in UNU NTB requires some supporting facilities in order to run an integrated and self-processing system. the supporting facilities are 4 category wastebin, carrying motorbike, dumptruck, other equipments (pH meter, pyrolysis machine, analytical balance, furnace, conductivity meter), dan TPS).

Abstract

Berenyok river is one of the water sources in Tanjung Karang, Mataram city, categorised as Class 2 for its designation. Thus, preserving the quality of water in the Berenyok river is crucial. This study aims to determine the water quality, calculate the Pollution Index (PI), and set control strategies for the Berenyok river. The study uses quantitative methods such as laboratory analysis for the water quality and PI calculation using a formula based on the Decree of the Minister of Environment No.115/2003 on determining water quality status. Meanwhile, the Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis generates recommendations for water pollution control strategies. The sampling locations are located in two sampling points (upstream and downstream of the Berenyok river) during bright daylight and the river's normal flow. Based on analysis results, the Berenyok river is defined as lightly polluted as the concentrations of several chemical parameters exceed the maximum limit, such as BOD, and PO3-P. It is also verified by high concentration of total coliform, namely 540,000 MPN/100mL (upstream) and 1,600,000 MPN/100mL (downstream). Thus, recommendations for water pollution control strategies are substantial for the Berenyok river.

Abstract

Maintaining personal and environmental health can be implemented through Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS). One form of application is washing hands with soap (CTPS). CTPS has proven to be effective in preventing disease transmission from one individual to another. CTPS practice is an absolute necessity, while the availability of CTPS facilities is still inadequate. This activity aims to increase the knowledge of elementary and junior high school students and teachers at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ijtihad Al-Ma'arif NU Central Lombok about CTPS as a strategy to minimize the spread of disease (Covid-19) in the school environment. This activity is carried out in the form of socialization. CTPS Practice Education refers to the procedure for washing hands properly and correctly according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Participants were also introduced to the use of solid waste as an ideal CTPS facility and how to manage the remaining CTPS liquid waste. Pre-test and post-test were given to test the success of the activities carried out. This activity was attended by 75 participants consisting of students, teachers and regular recitation participants at the Nurul Ijtihad Al-Ma'arif NU Islamic Boarding School in Central Lombok. Participants were given education by 3 (three) experts regarding good and correct CTPS practices, the use of solid waste for making CTPS facilities, and the management of liquid waste left over from CTPS practices so as not to have a negative impact on the environment. This activity ran smoothly and proved successful in increasing participants' understanding as indicated by the pre-test and post-test scores which increased from 50.5% to 61.97%. The ideal CTPS practice needs to be constantly reminded in order to prevent disease transmission. Utilization and management of waste in the practice of CTPS is a strategy to prevent environmental pollution.

Abstract

Washing hands is easy to do, the government even invites residents to make their own hand washing stations. Utilization of plastic waste can be done easily and inexpensively. Plastic waste is an inevitable part nowadays, including in the Kuta Mandalika area. There was an increase in waste generation of 2,815 kg/day from 2016-2018 including plastic waste, proving that waste management has not been effective. Efforts to utilize waste into valuable goods need to be taught from an early age to increase awareness of the potential for plastic waste. What is the perspective of students in responding to plastic waste. To socialize the use of plastic waste into valuable goods and the use of clean water. The activity was carried out at the Nurul Ijtihad Al-Ma'arif NU Islamic Boarding School, Kuta Village, Central Lombok Regency, the method of implementing activities was in the form of preparation, implementation and finishing. Preparation in the form of coordination with related parties in preparing socialization activities. Furthermore, the implementation is in the form of making hand washing facilities from plastic waste. Hand washing facilities are designed to be attractive by utilizing plastic waste. Media for hand washing facilities installed the correct way of washing hands according to WHO (World Health Organization). The socialization that was carried out at the Nurul Ijtihad Al Ma'arif Islamic Boarding School, Kuta Village, Central Lombok Regency went smoothly. Prior to the socialization activity, 46% of students and female students knew that plastic waste could be a more valuable item. After the socialization, it increased to 55.67% knowing that plastic waste is a valuable item. As many as 98% of students and female students want to do one of the 4R principles (reuse, reduce, recycle, replace) and the rest don't want to do it. Most of the students understand the potential for valuable plastic waste in the form of a place for washing hands. Limited knowledge, skills, and difficulties in fighting laziness are the reasons students don't want to carry out 4R activities.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung tingkat erosi yang terjadi di DAS Meninting dan upaya yang perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas lahan guna menjaga kualitas lingkungan serta menghilangkan dampak negatif seperti erosi, sedimentasi serta banjir. Semua data diolah dengan javascript pada platform GEE. Hasil analisis terdapat kehilangan tanah didominasi di bagian hulu DAS. Selain itu, terdapat kehilangan tanah berdasarkan data citra yang terkumpul dan dipanggil di cloud menggunakan platform GEE, yaitu 699.149 ton/ha/tahun. Penanggualan yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan metode konservasi dengan metode penanaman menurut garis kontur.Abstract. The purpose of the study is to calculate the erosion rates of Meninting watershed and measures to improve the land productivity to eradicate the negative impacts such as erosion, sedimentation, and flood. Data is processed using JavaScript on the GEE platform. The results indicate the magnitude of the erosion rate in the Meninting watershed can be seen in the image below. It is indicated that with the applied method, soil loss is dominated in the upstream of the watershed. It is estimated that the loss of land using image data collected and retrieved in the cloud using the GEE platform is 699,149 tons/ha/year. one of mitigation measures is using the conservation method with the method of planting according to contour lines.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektiftas instlasi pengolahan air limbah (IPAL) komunal yang menggunakan biofilter anaerobik yang berada di Dusun Tapon Timur Desa Bilebante. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode kompisite sampling yaitu suatu metode pengambilan sampel air yang dilakukan pada satu lokasi tertentu tetapi dengan waktu yang berbeda. Berdasarkan hasil uji laboratirum terhadap kualitas air limbah dari IPAL komunal tersebut, ada 7 parameter kulitas air limbah yang di uji laboratrium yakni parameter pH, TSS, COD, BOD, Minyak dan lemak, Amoniak dan Total Coliform. Dari 7 parameter tersebut terdapat hasil 5 parameter yakni pH, TSS, COD, BOD Minyak dan Lemak yang aman belum melebihi baku mutu yang dipersyaratkan kemudian terdapat 2 parameter yakni Amoniak dan Total Coliform yang tidak aman melebihi batas baku mutu yang dipersyaratkan. Kemudian untuk hasil efektifitas pengolahan air limbah menggunakan biofilter anaerobik efektifitas tertinggi yaitu parameter Minyak dan Lemak yaitu sebesar 97,1%. Abstract: This research aims to determine the effectiveness of communal wastewater treatment installations (IPAL) that use anaerobic biofilters in East Tapon Hamlet, Bilebante Village. The sampling technique uses the composite sampling method, which is a water sampling method carried out at one particular location but at different times. Based on the results of laboratory tests on the quality of waste water from the communal WWTP, there were 7 waste water quality parameters that were tested in the laboratory, namely pH, TSS, COD, BOD, oil and fat, ammonia and total coliform parameters. Of these 7 parameters, there are 5 parameter results, namely pH, TSS, COD, BOD of Oil and Fat, which are safe and do not exceed the required quality standards, then there are 2 parameters, namely Ammonia and Total Coliform, which are not safe, exceeding the required quality standard limits. Then for the results of the effectiveness of waste water processing using an anaerobic biofilter, the highest effectiveness is the Oil and Fat parameter, which is 97.1%.

Abstract

Babak watershed is one of the essential watersheds in Lombok Island providing water supply for irrigation, fish pool, drinking water supply, and micro-hydro power plant. Excessive human activities degrade the water quality of Babak watershed, and more pollutants are present in the water column. Thus, this study aims to determine Babak watershed's water quality status and assimilating capacity to plan effective and holistic mitigation measures properly. The study calculates the pollution index (PI) using a formula based on the Minister of Environment No.115/2003 Decree and assimilating capacity (AC) based on the Minister of Environment No.110/2003 Decree. The results found that Babak watershed is lightly polluted, defined by exceeding chemical parameters such as DO, total phosphate, nitrite, and dissolved iron (Fe). Similarly, these parameters (total phosphate, nitrite, and Dissolved iron (Fe) also reached the maximum assimilation capacity of Babak watershed to contain and self-purify these pollutants from the water column. Thus, planning mitigation and adaptation measures are required to prevent further contaminations in this watershed.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat risiko bencana di Desa Mantar dan merancang jalur evakuasi yang efektif sebagai upaya mitigasi bencana untuk mendukung keberlanjutan pariwisata. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi observasi lapangan, analisis spasial dengan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG), wawancara dengan masyarakat dan perangkat desa, serta studi literatur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa beberapa area di Desa Mantar memiliki kerentanan tinggi terhadap tanah longsor dan gempabumi. Jalur evakuasi yang dirancang mengarah ke titik kumpul aman. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan infrastruktur evakuasi, pengembangan sistem peringatan dini berbasis masyarakat, serta peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat dalam penanggulangan bencana.Abstract: This research aims to analyze the level of disaster risk in Mantar Village and design effective evacuation routes as a disaster mitigation effort to support tourism sustainability. The research methods used include field observations, spatial analysis using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), interviews with the community and village officials, as well as literature studies. The results of this research show that several areas in Mantar Village have a high vulnerability to landslides and earthquakes. The designed evacuation route leads to a safe gathering point. This research recommends strengthening evacuation infrastructure, developing a community-based early warning system, and increasing community capacity in disaster management.

Abstract

Limbah elektronik yang tidak terkelola secara baik dan penggunaan bahan bakar fosil yang secara terus menerus berkontribusi terhadap penurunan kualitas lingkungan sebagai contoh estetika lingkungan, dan perubahan iklim. Oleh karenanya, pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan limbah elektronik untuk digunakan sebagai bahan baku untuk pembuatan prototipe pembangkit listrik energi gelombang (PLTG) yang akan digunakan sebagai alat penerangan nelayan ketika melaut pada malam hari. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dari pembuatan prototipe PLTG, pengujian prototipe , publikasi ilmiah dan pelaporan. Dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian, prototipe PLTG dapat menghasilkan energi listrik sebesar 3-5-volt dan dapat digunakan sebagai sumber energi untuk penerangan kegiatan melaut bagi para nelayan. Adapun beberapa luaran yang dihasilkan dari pengabdian ini diantaranya adalah presentasi prototipe PLTG di Pameran Inovasi dan Teknologi (INOVTEK) Brida Provinsi NTB, kegiatan diskusi Bersama Bersama nelayan, dan prototipe ini berhasil mendapatkan Juara I pemuda pelopor di bidang inovasi dan teknologi di tingkat Kabupaten Lombok Barat dan Juara II pemuda pelopor di bidang inovasi dan teknologi di tingkat Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat Tahun 2022.
