Abstract

This research aims to analyze the comparison of two post-divorce child custody dispute resolution methods (litigation and non-litigation) along with the obstacles and challenges faced in finding a solution. This research is qualitative research with field research methods and data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The result is obstacles in resolving child custody disputes through litigation methods in court which require a long time, large costs and are difficult to implement the judge's decision, especially if the child is in the control of the losing party and does not want to hand over the child voluntarily. There are no specific rules regarding the implementation of hadhanah and considering the child's psychology, so that often the judge's decision is an illusory (futile) decision. Meanwhile, the obstacles to the non-litigation method are that it relies heavily on cooperation and awareness of both parties and there is still a lack of access to special services for the general public to carry out mediation without having to go to court. For this reason, it is necessary to increase competence and innovative approaches for professionals involved in resolving child custody disputes, the formation of policies that are oriented towards the interests of children and awareness of parents to prioritize the best interests of children rather than ego alone.

Abstract

Indonesia, has two calendars that have been strongly attached to the way of life in its society. These are the Gregorian calendar and the Hijri calendar. In addition, each region of Indonesia also has its own traditional calendar system. One type of traditional calendar that is still alive today is the Rowot Sasak Calendar. The Rowot Sasak Calendar uses the Moon as the base for its calculation system, so it is very similar to the Hijriyah system. But as a traditional calendar, the cultural components in it are very similar to the Islamic Javanese Calendar. So the author is interested in further research on the existence of cultural acculturation between Islam, Java and Sasak in the Rowot Sasak Calendar. This research uses qualitative methodology with field study research type and descriptive qualitative analysis. The findings of this study indicate that there is a strong acculturation between the three cultures in the rowot sasak calendar. The acculturation is based on the system that uses the Islamic calendar (Hijriyah) urfi hisab system. This is proven by the names of the months that adopt from the Hijriyah calendar, as well as the number of days 29/30 each month. Meanwhile, the Javanese cultural element can be identified in the component of determining good days for the community. In addition, the use of market names such as kliwon, wage, pahing, pon and legi is strong evidence of Javanese cultural acculturation. While the elements of Sasak culture itself can be found in the mention of the name of the day and other cultural terms that use terms in the Sasak language. As well as the determination of mangse (season) which uses the 5-15-25 tradition benchmark with synchronization on the Hijriyah calendar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh deklinasi magnetik pada kompas dan koordinat geografis bumi terhadap akurasi arah kiblat. Pengambilan data menggunakan teknik Cluster Sampling dengan populasinya adalah wilayah Indonesia yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu wilayah yang letak geografisnya dekat dengan khatulistiwa dan wilayah yang letak geografisnya jauh dari khatulistiwa. Data diperoleh melalui dokumen, observasi dan perhitungan matematis dengan menggunakan rumus spherical trigonometri. Selanjutnya, data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis varian (ANAVA) dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa deklinasi magnetik pada kompas, baik yang bernilai kurang dari satu derajat maupun lebih dari satu derajat memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap akurasi arah kiblat. Koordinat geografis bumi baik yang letaknya dekat maupun jauh dari khatulistiwa memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap akurasi arah kiblat. Di samping itu juga tidak terdapat hubungan interaktif antara deklinasi magnetik dengan koordinat geografis bumi yang dari interaksi itu akan berpengaruh terhadap akurasi arah kiblat.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation and accuracy of the Jean Meeus Algorithm in determining lunar and solar eclipses.This research is a qualitative research with a literature approach. The primary data source for this research is a book entitled Astronomical Algorithm by Jean Meeus. Meanwhile, secondary data is all information related to the Jean Meeus algorithm in determining eclipses obtained from various literature such as books, websites, encyclopedias, dictionaries, scientific articles, and other sources of information. The results of this study indicate that determining the eclipse time using the Jean Meeus algorithm involves seven stages of calculation namely; starting with determining the year the eclipse occurred, then determining the gamma value, JDE (Julian Day Ephemeris), the payoff value (k), the saros series, the reference time (To) and the Bessel Element value. The calculation of the Jean Meeus Algorithm is included in the tahkiki essential reckoning method because the calculation process involves astronomical data with very precise corrections for the motion of the Moon and the Sun, This method is also based on the heliocentric flow. In addition, the level of accuracy of Jean Meeus' calculations has a good match with NASA as a comparison, namely with results that are only 1 to 3 minutes apart and the average difference is only in seconds.

Abstract

Public education about cryptocurrency within the Muslim community is still limited, with many individuals not understanding the potential benefits and associated risks. This creates a significant knowledge gap in the context of Islamic family law. This study aims to enhance understanding of cryptocurrency through a public education approach focused on the perspective of Islamic family law. The methodology employed in this research is a literature review, analyzing various literature, articles, and guidelines from religious authorities and Islamic finance experts. The results indicate that the majority of the Muslim community has not received adequate education regarding cryptocurrency, hindering their ability to invest wisely. Effective public education can improve public understanding and awareness of the benefits and risks of cryptocurrency, ensuring its use complies with Islamic law principles. These findings highlight the importance of support from religious authorities and Islamic finance experts in providing accurate and relevant guidance. With a holistic and structured approach, public education can help Muslims make better decisions regarding investment and the use of cryptocurrency in their daily lives.

Abstract

This study aims to design, evaluate, test, and assess a prototype Internet of Things (IoT)-based building management system for air conditioning (AC) control in a campus building. The research background stems from the need for a system that can manage temperature more effectively, aligning with the demands of sustainability in energy management. The methodology employed in this study involves the development of a system using an ESP32 microcontroller, integrated with an Infrared (IR) transmitter and an LDR sensor. Testing was conducted to evaluate the performance of the IR transmitter in detecting signals at various distances (1 to 5 meters) and directions (straight, left, and right), as well as to measure the accuracy of the LDR sensor at a distance of 2 meters. The test results revealed that the IR transmitter achieved optimal detection performance at a distance of 1 meter, with significant degradation at greater distances. Conversely, the LDR sensor demonstrated 100% accuracy at a distance of 2 meters. The study concludes that the IoT-based AC control system designed not only enhances temperature management efficiency but also improves user comfort, with the potential for broader application in building management systems in the future.

Abstract

Atmospheric humidity can affect the Rukyatul Hilal process. The greater the humidity the more difficult it is to observe the hilal, because the greater the humidity the more moisture and the more cloud growth. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the level of atmospheric humidity that can affect hilal visibility at the location of Rukyatul Hilal Loang Baloq Beach. This type of research includes field research (field reseach) using a qualitative approach. The source of data from this study is the result of direct observation to the research location and collecting data from several institutions, namely, the Ministry of Religious Affairs of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and the Lombok Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). The findings of this study that atmospheric humidity affects Rukyatul Hilal on Loang Baloq Beach, because Loang Baloq Beach has a high level of atmospheric humidity. So it is difficult to observe the hilal image. If the state of atmospheric humidity is 70%, then the state of the sky will be clear. If the state of atmospheric humidity is 70% – 80% then the state of the sky will be cloudy, and if the state of atmospheric humidity is 85% then the state of the sky will rain. Atmospheric humidity at Loang Baloq Beach has an average of 84.5% throughout 2022, with this figure atmospheric humidity will be able to affect visibility on the hilal at Loang Baloq Beach.

Abstract

This study investigates two primary issues: the causes of the misalignment of the qibla direction at the Omba Public Cemetery in Mamben Daya Village and the formulation of appropriate solutions to ensure that the qibla direction is determined in an orderly and precise manner under Islamic law. Employing field research with a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through structured measurements, direct field observations, and interviews with key informants. The findings indicate that local authorities lack sufficient knowledge of accurate techniques for determining the qibla direction for burials. Furthermore, the challenges identified can be addressed by implementing formal regulations established by the village government to enhance community awareness and ensure the accurate alignment of graves with the qibla direction.
