Abstract

In today’s competitive environment, students have to manage a great variety of tasks, and sometimes, due to poor time management, they fall behind in completing the tasks well and on time. Thus, this research presents the research and development of an automated task management system using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) measurement for task monitoring and provides alerts for university students, which can continuously monitor the student’s task performance. To achieve the objective of this research, the following methodology was adopted. First, the research identifies suitable measures of poor time management, best time management practices for university students, and suitable solution for developing the proposed system. A preliminary investigation was carried out to identify problem faced by students with their task management and the impact on their academic performance. The respondents of this preliminary investigation are undergraduate and postgraduate students from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Malaya that have responded to a survey questionnaire. Based on the outcome of the preliminary investigation, it is clear that students prefer a computer application to constantly monitor tasks over the internet will ease the tasks of users.

Abstract

Penilain dosen teladan dilakukan setiap tahun oleh tim khusus dari BPPM. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh tim ini adalah bagaimana menentukan keputusan dosen teladan dengan kriteria yang  memiliki sifat subjektif atau tidak pasti dengan cepat. Sistem ini merupakan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) yang dibangun menggunakan penggabungan metode Analitycal Hierarchi Process (AHP) dan pendekatan fuzzy yang disebut Fuzzy AHP (F-AHP). F-AHP menutupi kekurangan pada AHP dalam menangani data yang tidak pasti atau lebih banyak bersifat subjektif. Sistem ini dibangun dengan menggunakan bahasa pemograman berbasis web PHP dan Mysql. Dari hasil pengujian, pemilihan dosen teladan dengan F-AHP menunjukkan bahwa subjektifitas kriteria sangat diperhatikan dibandingkan dengan menggunakan AHP. Sehingga, rekomendasi keputusan ranking dari penggabungan dua metode (F-AHP) lebih mendekati perankingan manual di BPPM Uin Suska Riau”.

Abstract

Appropriate application of information systems and information technology can increase efficiency and effectiveness and create a competitive advantage. Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (DPMPTSP) Riau Province is one of the agencies for providing integrated licensing services spread throughout the Provinces and Regencies/Cities in Indonesia. DPMPTSP is required to carry out the task of licensing services that are fast, accurate, in accordance with existing regulations and transparent costs to the entire community. Thus, it is necessary to design a strategic information system so that the implementation of IS/IT is in line with the vision and mission as well as the company's goals. This research uses the Ward and Peppard method because the method has a fairly clear and complete framework besides that it does not only focus on technology, but also focuses on the business needs of the organization. The result of this research are recommendations for future portfolio applications that can be used within the next four years.

Abstract

An online academic information system is potentially exposed to various threats from internal and external sources, which may compromise the institution's objectives if not managed effectively and appropriately. Academic portals often experience issues such as server downtime and unauthorised access attempts. However, there is no specific documentation dedicated to managing these issues. This study aims to analyze risk management in information security for the academic portal of Universitas Riau, Indonesia. The study employs the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)/International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 27005:2018 standard and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 security controls, following four key stages: context establishment, risk assessment, risk treatment, and recommendations. The findings identify eight categories of information system assets, 30 identified threats, and 43 vulnerabilities, including two high-risk categories, 19 medium-risk categories, and 22 low-risk categories. Of the 43 vulnerabilities, 21 risks required risk modification, four required risk avoidance, and four required risk sharing. Fourteen risks, which can be managed through risk retention (acceptance of risk), fall under the category of risk acceptance. Furthermore, ISO/IEC 27001 suggests that implementing control recommendations can minimize and effectively address these risks. Nevertheless, this study focuses primarily on information security risks and does not extensively cover related areas such as data privacy, regulatory compliance, or operational risks. Future research can explore the effectiveness of training programs and awareness campaigns in reducing human-related risks, such as phishing and social engineering attacks.

Abstract

Sungai Pakning Village Office has 12 village officials who are tasked with providing services to the people of Sungai Pakning Village, Bengkalis Regency. Public services carried out by the Sungai Pakning Village Government are currently still manual. The Sungai Pakning Village assistance office has not utilized information and communication technology in providing services to the community. The absence of the application of information and communication technology is a weakness that must be addressed by the Sungai Pakning Village Government. The purpose of this community service activity is to digitize village administration services carried out in Sungai Pakning Village using OpenSID which is developed openly (open source) by the Opendesa Community. This activity begins with a location survey, problem identification, implementation, socialization, and ends with an evaluation. This community service activity produces a website that can be used by the Sungai Pakning Village Apparatus in providing digital-based services to the community. The survey results produced socialization activities related to the suitability of the website, namely 37% very appropriate/clear, 60% appropriate/clear, 2% hesitant, and 1% quite appropriate/clear. This shows that participants can accept the community service activities that have been carried out.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Akademik Mahasiswa (SIAM) di Poltekkes Kemenkes Riau mendukung layanan akademik penting seperti KRS, KHS, transkrip nilai, dan jadwal kuliah. Namun, sistem ini menghadapi berbagai permasalahan, seperti gangguan server saat pengisian KRS, penataan ruang server yang tidak memadai, kabel longgar, sistem yang tiba-tiba ter-refresh, serangan siber, serta kehilangan data akibat kesalahan staf IT dan teknologi usang. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis manajemen risiko keamanan SIAM dan memberikan rekomendasi mitigasi menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) serta kontrol ISO 27001:2013. Proses analisis mencakup identifikasi mode kegagalan, penilaian tingkat keparahan, kemungkinan terjadi, deteksi, dan perhitungan Risk Priority Number (RPN) yang didapat kan dari hasil wawancara dan pengisian kuisioner. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar risiko berada pada kategori rendah, mencerminkan bahwa sistem masih dapat dikendalikan, tetapi memerlukan perbaikan preventif untuk meningkatkan keandalannya. Beberapa risiko sedang juga teridentifikasi dan membutuhkan penanganan prioritas. Rekomendasi mitigasi diformulasikan melalui kombinasi strategi pengurangan risiko, penghindaran, dan penerimaan, serta diselaraskan dengan kontrol ISO 27001:2013. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan SIAM yang lebih aman dan dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengelolaan risiko sistem informasi di institusi pendidikan tinggi.

Abstract

Dalam era persaingan akademik yang ketat, mahasiswa dihadapkan pada berbagai tanggung jawab yang sering kali sulit dikelola akibat manajemen waktu yang kurang efektif. Sistem Manajemen Pembelajaran (LMS) yang ada belum mampu membantu mahasiswa secara optimal dalam mengatur waktu dan memenuhi tenggat tugas karena keterbatasan fitur dalam mendeteksi keterlambatan sejak dini maupun melakukan pemantauan kinerja secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini tidak mengusulkan pengembangan sistem manajemen tugas otomatis, melainkan berfokus pada pengukuran persepsi mahasiswa terhadap kebutuhan akan task management system. Studi pendahuluan dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi masalah yang dihadapi mahasiswa dalam pengelolaan tugas serta dampaknya terhadap kinerja akademik. Responden dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 137 mahasiswa program sarjana yang terdaftar pada Program Studi Sistem Informasi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Riau. Para peserta mewakili berbagai tingkat akademik, mulai dari semester dua hingga semester delapan, sehingga mencerminkan pengalaman yang beragam dalam mengelola tugas-tugas akademik.. Hasil studi menunjukkan sebagian besar responden merasa perlu meningkatkan keterampilan manajemen waktu (µ=4,32) dan menyatakan ketertarikan terhadap adanya sistem pendukung pengelolaan tugas akademik (µ=3,42). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki kebutuhan yang cukup tinggi terhadap aplikasi berbasis internet yang dapat membantu memantau serta mendukung manajemen tugas secara berkesinambungan
