Abstract

This study tries to identify and analyse two types of thought, i.e. Western (Psychologists) and Islam thought (Sufist) in dealing with the phenomena of Religius experience. According to William James Religius experience is the experience of feeling close to something sacred. These experiences occur directly and emergent, but lead to the strenghthening of religioun and faith to the Creator. In the other hand, in Tasauf, the Religius experience is an esoteric experience or mystical experience. These experiences can be found through the Tarekat namely dzikir or muraqabah, in Psychology named Transendental Meditation. This method aims to strenghthen faith in the real aqidah and moral purity. In Psychology, the Religius experience which is gained in all religion teaching has many psychological dynamics: the object of the mind, stimulating, and positive perception of the sacred. Abstract

This paper aims to obtain information about the spiritual leadership efforts in developing a culture quality and its reality developed.  The method in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. This research is a single case study focusing on the private Islamic schools, Senior High School Plus under Motahhari foundation, Bandung. The main data were obtained from primary sources namely the headmaster, teachers, staff, students and parents. Then, the secondary sources are qualitative documents such as dissertations, journals, documents and other sources supporting data. The data were collecting indepth interviews, non-participant observation and documentation. The technique of data analysis use integrative analysis. Then the data were analyzed using three methods namely data organization, data reduction and data presentation. For checking the validity of the data, researcheruse: 1) the credibility of the data with triangulation techniques, dependability and confirmability. The findings of study showed: 1) an articulation and dissemination of the vision and mission of the school was implemented fairly intense, 2) Motahhari as a symbol of Ulul Albab development, 3) the rewards and sanctions formes are an extrinsic and an intrinsic, 4) the relationships that occur in school is a social, an emotional and a spiritual relationships. The reality of the quality culture developed are: 1), cultural empathy, 2) critical culture, 3) an innovative culture, and 4) an inclusive - pluralist culture

Abstract

Patients with coronary heart disease have high anxiety about their future, and most of them cannot accept their current situation. The high level of anxiety happened because of their tendency to avoid their God, so it developed a spiritual emptiness that could affect their psychological condition. Therefore, they were always looking for a solution to minimize their anxiety level to feel inner peace. Until they finally found an alternative medicine based on Sufism(Sufi healing). This research used a qualitative method and was conducted with field research. The respondents who participated in this study were three people between 45-75 years old. Researchers analyzed the process and the impact of the Sufi healing method to quell the anxiety of coronary heart disease patients. In addition, by using comparative descriptive analysis, researchers compare the attitude of respondents before and after the intervention of the Sufi healing method. The results of this method brought significant changes in the level of anxiety and their disease. The clients could control their emotions better; they no longer feel extreme anxiety. They also returned to their daily activities and used their free time to do positive actions, such as reciting Zikr and listening to the Holy Qur’an. These positive activities calmed their inner self and the anxiety at the minimum level to trigger coronary heart disease

Abstract

The condition of a pluralistic society will potentially be prone to social conflict, thus disrupting the integrity of harmonious social relations in society. The research aims to develop English language teaching materials based on multicultural values in higher education. This research uses research and development involving Analysis, Design, Development, and implementation (ADDIE) models and mixed methodology. In collecting data, several instruments were used: observation, in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), document analysis, and questionnaires. This research involved student participants and lecturers. The data analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The findings of this research show that in English textbooks, readings and twenty exercises that contain multicultural values are expected to be found. In the English for Agribusiness textbook, researchers did not find multicultural values. In addition, the results of the needs analysis show that teachers and students need to provide appropriate techniques and strategies for teaching English through multicultural values. The validity results show that multicultural education can be taught using English material. Based on the effectiveness results, it shows that multicultural education is effective. Multicultural education needs to be involved by including multicultural values in English teaching materials, especially in universities. For future research, it is necessary to find English language teaching materials with other methodologies and specific fields at the higher education level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Menganalisis persepsi siswa mengenai peran pengawasan guru Akidah Akhlak dalam membimbing dan mengawasi perkembangan karakter keagamaan siswa secara positif. 2) Mengkaji bagaimana lingkungan sekolah berkontribusi dalam membentuk karakter keagamaan siswa yang baik. 3) Meneliti strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pengawasan guru serta menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang mendukung pengembangan karakter keagamaan siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MAN 1 Kota Tangerang Selatan, menggunakan metode pengumpulan data berupa angket (kuesioner), wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas X1 tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Sampel diambil dengan teknik random sampling, di mana peneliti memilih secara acak 33 siswa dari kelas tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pengawasan yang dilakukan oleh guru Akidah Akhlak berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan karakter keagamaan siswa, dengan koefisien korelasi positif sebesar 0,49. Ini berarti semakin baik pengawasan guru, semakin baik pula karakter keagamaan siswa. 2)Lingkungan sekolah juga berperan dalam membentuk karakter keagamaan siswa, terbukti dengan korelasi sebesar 0,30 antara variabel lingkungan sekolah (X2) dan karakter keagamaan (Y). Semakin baik lingkungan sekolah, semakin baik karakter keagamaan siswa. 3)Strategi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan pengawasan guru dan menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang mendukung pengembangan karakter keagamaan memiliki hubungan signifikan. Koefisien determinasi yang dihasilkan menunjukkan bahwa 53% variasi dalam karakter keagamaan (Y) dapat dijelaskan oleh pengawasan guru Akidah Akhlak (X1) dan lingkungan sekolah (X2) secara simultan. Dengan demikian, peran pengawasan guru dan lingkungan sekolah dalam meningkatkan karakter keagamaan adalah 53%.
