Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the implications of the global financial crisis on the coal industry in Indonesia. The financial crisis that hit in all countries affects the majority of companies and industries. This global crisis started from the existing housing credit crunch in the United States which caused by the foreign policy of United States which in the end it became a chain of events that is perceived by the various parties in various countries around the world. Indonesia as a coal producing countries also felt the impact of the global financial crisis.In this study the authors used data obtained from books, journals, articles, and websites of various media such as print and electronic media. The theory used in this study is the globalization theory.This paper shows a variety of negative impacts on the Indonesian coal industry caused by the global financial crisis. Where this research focuses on the implications of the global financial crisis on the Indonesian coal industry in 2008-2013. Indonesian coal industry experienced a downturn because of global crisis and its also affects the economy of Indonesia. Where the Indonesian economy began to decline in 2008.Key words: Coal Industry, Global Crisis, Foreign Policy, and Implications.

Abstract

This research discusses economic cooperation done Indonesia with Turkey to improve the volume of exports crude palm oil/CPO to Turkey. especially from the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on Agricultural.The method used in this research is qualitative research. Some of the data obtained came from books, journals, articles, annual reports, the internet and other media. In this study also used the perspective of liberalism, international cooperation theory, and national interest Concept. Scope of this research is motivation indonesia in cooperation with turkey in an effort to increase their exports crude palm oil cpo ( ) indonesia to turkeyThis research showed that indonesia and turkey has good relations in all things especially in the trade sector. Turkey has an important role for trading partners indonesia , remember position turkey which is very strategic. The purpose of indonesia in cooperation with turkey is to promote the product of palm indonesia to Turkey , as well as making turkey as a way to open up the opportunity to export markets to other countries in about turkey or the Balkan countries and Europe..Key words: National Interests, CPO exports, MoU, Turkey as indonesia strategic trading partner.

Abstract

This research is aimed to explain the the impact of PT. Multistrada Arah Sarana to sponsorship cooperation with Manchester United football club 2013-2016. PT. Multistrada Arah Sarana is an Indonesian tire manufacturer that produces Achilles tires for cars and Corsa for motorcycles. Manchester United is a football club United Kingdom who plays in the highest league of England and is a big club that has big names and many achievements. To increase tire exports to European markets PT. Multisrada Arah Sarana initiative to cooperate with Manchester United Football Club through branding of Achilles and Corsa brand which will become better known after the cooperation also to implement Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. This study was prepared using the perspective of Neoliberalism and the theory of International Cooperation. This research also uses descriptive analysis with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are literature studies (library research). The results of this study indicate that sponsorship cooperation is not proven to increase the tire export capacity to the European market. Manchester United's big name is not able to increase the number of tire sales to Europe. But other things have a positive impact is the implementation of United Training as Corporate CSR Porgram that affects a number of children elected in Indonesia to gain knowledge of the activities undertaken by PT. Abstract

This research is a study of the constraints of Indonesian areca nut exports to Singapore with the Jambi case study in 2013-2018. This study aims to explain the causes of the problem of areca nut exports to Singapore. This has caused the export of areca nut to decline.                This research was developed based on the framework of a neomerkantilism perspective which is supported by the theory of international trade, and also the level of analysis that uses a nation state. In accordance with the fact that the main object of international relations is the nation-state. And the theory used in this study is the theory of international trade. This study uses field research methods and research and literature.            The export constraint factors are the decline in the quality and quantity of betel nuts is the government's efforts have not been optimal in overseeing agricultural production, lack of effectiveness of export promotions at international exhibitions, speculators monopoly, government control of illegal trade / smuggling, the export chain of betel nut infrastructure , the role of exporter companies has not been maximized due to unclear regulations.Key words: Areca nut, Perspective of neomerkantilism, International Trade

Abstract

 The problem of energy cannot be separated from the geopolitical conception that looks at the geographical position of a country as a component of its capabilities in the international political order. The energy context if analyzed in the perspective of International Political Economy is based on the interdependence relationship between countries within the scope of economic dependence between countries. The form of interdependence between countries is the export-import activities between countries, cooperation between countries in finding new energy sources and securing energy supplies in other countries.The need of energy supplies in Indonesia, especially on diesel demand is increasing every  year. However, this increase could not be fulfilled by national oil based energy supply due to the decrease of oil production and there has not been significant increase in term of oil fractionation plants. As a consequence, diesel import could not be avoided resulting an additional burden in nation budgeting.To overcome this problem, LNG might be an alternative. Thus, diesel imports can be eliminated further, domestic industries can be more competitive. Indonesia is one of the leading LNG producers in the world, most of the LNG production is exported to China, Korea and Mexico. Currently the government is paying more attention to the LNG sector because it is expected to be a more effective alternative energy than others. Keywords : Cooperate, Energy, Energy Development, Indonesia, Britain.

Abstract

This Research is the study of International Political Economy on the role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) PT. Oiltanking at Tanjung Balai Karimun Kepulauan Riau. Karimun District that has been created as Free Trade Zone (FTZ) and Special Economic Zone (SEZ) created oportunities for Jerman to invest in Karimun. Karimun’s goverment relized the existence of foreign companies can develop Karimun in many aspects. Therefore karimun’s goverment created the local regulation to optimize the contribution of foreign companies. Jerman investment is poured through PT. Oiltanking Karimun that was attended on 2012 in Karimun District. Operation of PT. Oiltanking Karimun in Karimun District gived many impacts in many aspects.This research used qualitative methods, techniques of data collection is through fieldresearch techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The writer collects data from journals, books, thesis, reports, online media, internet, and interview. The theoritical framework applied in this research is neoliberalism perspective from David Harvey, the level of nation-state analysis, the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility, International Political Economy theory from Mohtar Mas’oed, and Legitimacy theory from Dowling and Platter.The research shows that the role Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) PT. Oiltanking in Karimun Regency since enactment of Regional Regulation No. 8 of 2016 is by fulfilling corporate social responsibility towards the community in the environmental, social, education / training, and health sectors. The implementation PT. Oiltanking’s CSR in those sectors can be felt constantly by local communitiesKeywords : PT. Abstract

This research is the science of international relations that examines the effectiveness of the sister city of Padang City (Indonesia) with the City of Fremantle (Australia). This research aims to explain how the cooperative relationship between the City of Padang and the City of Fremantle, how the effectiveness of the sister city cooperation between the two cities and the obstacles that hinder the cooperation of the sister city.               The study was prepared using the international cooperation by K.J Holsti, constructivism perspective, which is then supported by nation-state analysis level. The methodology using a qualitative methode and collecting data using a library research literature.               The results of this study indicate that the sister city collaboration between the City of Padang and the City of Fremantle is less effective. This is evidenced by the absence of outputs and action plans from the collaboration as well as the many obstacles that are obstacles to the proper running of the sister city collaboration. Keyword : Cooperation, Sister City, Effectiveness, Padang City, The City of  Fremantle.

Abstract

This study describe about Qatar interests took over Paris Saint Germains through Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) name is Qatar Investment Authorithy.The sources of this research were obtained through literature reviews, books, websites, and others. The source of analysis is qualitative methods. This study uses the level of analysis of the nation state, liberalism perspective considers that war is only a small part of existing reality. The liberalists hope international relation are understood throughly and not forget that cooperation between countries is one of themain things. Qatar is the country with the second largest LNG producers in the world. To replace future income and realize the Qatar National Vision 2030 Qatar invested heavily in the hotels and sport sector through Qatar Investment Authorithy with one of them by taking over Paris Saint Germains which one is the big club and strategic location at Paris.   Key Words: Paris Saint Germains, Qatar Investment Authority, Sovereign Wealth Fund.

Abstract

Abstract            Nowadays global competition and the depletion of natural resources are encouraging most of the countries in the world to find the alterantive of economic matters that doesn’t depend on nature, one of the alternative is by switching the option to creative economy, which is an economic matter that based on creativity and intellectual abalities. Creative economy known as a concept which evolves and focuses on creativity as a main asset to  generate the economic growth and development. Creative Economy and Creative Industry in Indonesia was discussed and evolved since 2006. Up until now, the creative industry development efforts are continue to be made by Indonesian Government. One of the effort is by doing a cooperation with South Korea. Korea becomes such a phenomenon in the technology development and its culture which evolves rapidly in Asia for the recent decades, and it is able to do the effective development and culture strategy, which is by its creative industry.            This research used the descriptive analysis method, which means, a research method that describes occasions or occurences based on the actual on going datas and facts, to obtain an analysis about the effect of Indonesia and South Korea cooperation in the developmment of creative industrial sector in Indonesia. Researcher also used the literature study data accumulation technic, which means, an effort to find and collect the datas and informations based on reviews and references, whether it’s from text books, magazines, newspapers, articles, internets or documents about things that related to the case which researcher examined.            The cooperation of both countries was done in some of cooperation and program types, which amongst : the education training, the exchange of industry subject, and promoting both of the countries creative industry businesses. Besides trying on the creative subject’s quality development, investment increasing in oder to support the creative industry production is also one of the result that successfully achieved from this cooperation. However,  this cooperation is not fully effective because there are still some obstacles and also it still doesn’t obtain a stable result for both of the countries, in this case, South Korea still dominates the cooperation.Keywords : Cooperate, Creative Economy, Creative Industry, Indonesia, South Korea

Abstract

The fact that Indonesia is one of the country that prone of falsified medicine entry, development of its industry and is the country with the highest number of falsified medicines for low-middle income countries were indeed unavoidable again. The problem of falsified medicines a threat so  real and very contradictory for Indonesia who wants to realizing the realization of  high quality of Indonesian human being, the advanced and prosperous life. Referring to the increasing intensity of falsified medicines which gets higher throughout the year and not balanced by adequate handling, then some efforts to overcoming the circulation of falsified medicines are very much needed by Indonesia today, one of them by joining and conducting international cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO).This research uses the rule of international organization theory, the perspective of pluralism and supported by the concept of Non-traditional security. This study also uses qualitative descriptive research methods and uses level of group behavior analysis. Research data is obtained through the literature review and all research data derived directly from the government official website and related organizations.Based on the results from analyzing of the researchers, it can be concluded  that the efforts of the World Health Organization (WHO) to overcoming the circulation of falsified medicines in Indonesia is through the establishment of Member State Mechanism (MSM) which is realized by drafting and Run the Action Plan that was created by MSM and then it adopted into National Action by Indonesia. This research proves that the Indonesian Government has a strong commitment and is trying to overcoming the circulation of falsified medicines for the realization of human security for Indonesian people. Keywords: World Health Organization (WHO), Member State Mechanism (MSM), Effort, Falsified Medicines, BPOM.
