Abstract

Along with the development of the era, there have been many fish floss, kricu, kretek manufacturers that have used machines. However, there are still many machines that use combustion engines, which make workers uncomfortable because the engine is very wasteful of fuel and pollutes the air. And here the author wants to modify the wasteful and polluting combustion engine with an electric motor that is safe and does not pollute pollution. The implementation method used in making this final project is with the stages of the implementation process in the form of a flowchart including problem identification, data collection through surveys and literature studies, working drawings, machine manufacturing, machine assembly and testing. Based on the results obtained, a fish grinder machine uses a 6.5 HP electric motor with 3600 Rpm as the drive system. The transmission system used in this machine is a pulley and V-belt, and uses a horizontal system with a screw as a dough crusher. From the results of the machine test without load, all components in the animal feed crusher machine function properly. The machine test with a load shows that this machine is capable of making feed with a capacity of 55 kg / hour. This machine can be a solution for employees to overcome difficulties in the manual grinding process, as well as increase efficiency and productivity in the dough.

Abstract

This study used an experimental method, in the form of the heat treatment hardening 930⁰C with the variations in the cooling media of the coconut water, table salt water, mineral waterwater, coolant radiator, and dromus water and variations in temperatures of tempering 200⁰C, 420⁰C, and 600⁰C, the specimens were cylindrical in diameter 25 mm and 20 mm in length, this study aims to determine the optimum hardness value of S45C steel specimens due to the heat treatment process hardening-tempering. From the results of the study, there is the effect of hardening 930⁰C there is the most optimal hardness value found in coconut water cooling media with the hardness level of 53.5 HRC. Under the influence of tempering 200⁰C there is the optimum hardness value found from the influence of mineral water cooling media with the hardness level of 50.7 HRC, while the influence of tempering 420⁰C there is the most optimal hardness value from the influence of mineral water cooling media with the hardness level of 41.8 HRC, and for tempering effect 600⁰C there is the most optimal hardness value available from the influence of the coconut water cooling media with the hardness level of 35.93 HRC.

Abstract

Friction welding is a type of welding that connects two materials with the heat generated by the material itself so that it does not require additional materials. Heat can occur due to the presence of two objects rubbing against each other so that the material can melt and there is a connection due to forging process. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact strength of friction welding joints. The material used in this research is low carbon steel St.41 in the form of of a solid cylinder which has a diameter of 13mm. From the research that has been done, it is found that friction welding using 720 and 1000 rpm have better joint strength than using 450 rpm, which means that specimens with 720 and 1000 rpm have a higher amount of energy absorbed and impact values than specimens using 450 rpm.
