Abstract

Support Vector Machines (SVM) is one of many classification methods implemented on pattern recognition, including handwritten character recognition system. Numbers of traning set will affect the performance of the recognition system. A basic Jawanessehandwritten character recognition system based on SVM used to show the effect of training set numbers variation on system performance. The experiment result indicating that SVM has good generalization on limiting training set (on a data set, 30% data used for training set can give more than 90% success rate on all data set).

Abstract

Handover is a process to guarantee the MS (Mobile Station) communication connection while moving for one cell to another cell. There are 10,89%-12,04% handover failure occurred between BTS Cilongok sector 1 and BTS Karanglewas sector 3 of PT. Indosat, Tbk,Purwokerto, whereas, thestandard is 2%-3%. Based on KPI (Key Performance Indicator) data most of handover failure is caused by long overlapping coverage (1,2851 km) as could be seen in BSC Controlled Inc. HO Fail at the amount of 9,69%-10,24%. Long overlapping coverage also reduce Rx Level signal quality to-94 dBm (threshold-90 dBm), and Rx Qual is 2,26 (it is still good enough if comparing to the threshold 5). Down tilt antenna method is used to overcome the overlapping coverage. Calculation result of down tilt antenna points out that the precise down tilt antenna to be applied in BTS Cilongok sector 1 is 3º and BTS Karanglewas sector 3 is 2,5º with number of overlapping coverage 78,2 m (appropriate to reference of PT. Indosat, Tbk Purwokerto�100 m). After down tilting antenna indicates that there is a reduction of handover failure because of overlapping coverage reduce to 0,01%- 0,02%, and total handover failure reduce to 0,62%- 1,39% . Meanwhile there is a raising in signal quality,it is Rx Level become-75 dBm and thebetter size of Rx Qual is 1.

Abstract

Multimedia technology has changed rapidly. How to get a small audio file with the high quality that still equal to the real quality is became the common issue in the sound compression world. Because the human ears can't hear all of sound component, it's allowed to compress an audio data using lossy method. A new lossy method to compress an audio data is Ogg Vorbis. This method has its own psychoacoustic model that made this method has the better sound quality if compared to the popular codec Mp3.

Abstract

Automatic reading techniques of handwriting being developed. Computerization of Java script has started to be developed. However, there is no automated reader system for documents written in handwriting Java script. This research applies backpropagation neural network for recignition of handwritten java script. Preprosesing patterns done with Java script normalize the image size to be 40x40 pixels then feature extraction. Performance network training is 99.8% and performance examination is 95.81%.

Abstract

Feature extraction is one of the most improtant step on characters recognition system. Transition features is one from many features used on characters recognition system. This paper report a research on handwritten basic Jawanesse characters recognition system to found the proper numbers of transitions used on transition features. To recognize the characters,the Multiclass Support Vector Machines were used. The Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) SVM were used for multiclass classification strategy and to map each input vector to a higher dimention space, the Gaussian Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernel with parameter 1were used. It can be shown, for basicJawanesse characters recognition system, the optimal numbers of transitions used for transition features is 4 (a half of maximum numbers of transition on all patterns).

Abstract

The development of new sites by telecommunication network operator, especially GSM network, purposes for more increase performance and give satisfy for consument. Performance of a site is most affecting for value of network quality totally. New site builded must be monitorized and optimized by its existing in order to can be more realible on serving society with the method that was mentioned “initial tuning activity”. On this method must be concerned some matter as like: application of accurate frequency for avoiding interference problem, creating neighbour relationship between ex isting site and new site, detection for faulth installation for arranging re-use frequency concept, setting accurate coverage, olso changing tilt angle for accurate main beam area. This arrangement must be conditioned on a new site that still “default”, so it can improve quality. On operator side, they have some criteria that must be passed by a new site. Initial tuning activity on Site Simpang RGM had been proved on passing  that site from recommended criteria, olso being totally indicated more increase pe rformance of network

Abstract

Recently, the development of data in the digital world has produced new challenges. The challenge is increasing number and complexity of data and variations in data (structured and unstructured). Conventional database management system (RDBMS) is not able to answer these challenges effectively because in RDBMS uses a related structured table approach to store information. Currently present, a database management system called NoSQL. This NoSQL system was introduced to provide quick scalability (amount and complexity) and unstructured data. In this study, we present the performance analysis of RDBMS and NoSQL database management systems in the case of increasing the number of data. We use the simple php page to test database systems, experiments are done with use four data sets of different sizes from academic information systems. The database NoSQL approach is used by Redis and the SQL database approach is used by MySQL. The results show that the noSql database has a execution time better than the MySQL database, there is an increase in the speed of the execution time by 87.58% in the create operation, 85.53% in the update operation, and in the delete operation by 86.40% and while in the read operation the increase in execution time speed is obtained by 57.09%, so that on average the Redis database has a show work better than the MySQL database at 79.15%..Keywords : MySql Database, Redis Database, PHP Programming AbstrakBaru-baru ini, perkembangan data di dunia digital telah menghasilkan tantangan baru. Tantangannya adalah meningkatnya jumlah dan kompleksitas data dan variasi data (terstruktur dan tidak terstruktur). Sistem manajemen basis data konvensional (RDBMS) tidak dapat menjawab tantangan ini secara efektif karena dalam hal ini RDBMS menggunakan pendekatan tabel terstruktur sebagai konsep dalam menyimpan informasi. Saat ini, telah hadir sistem manajemen basis data yang disebut NoSQL, Sistem NoSQL memiliki kemampuan menangani data yang tidak terstruktur yang jumlah dan kompleksitas terus meningkat. Dalam penelitian ini, kami menyajikan hasil analisis perbandingan unjuk kerja Sistem Manajemen Basis Data konvensional (RDBMS) dengan NoSQL pada kemampuannya dalam menangani pertumbuhan data yang terus meningkat. Metode yang digunakan dalam melakukan analisis perbandingan unjuk kerja RDBMS dengan NoSQL adalah waktu eksekusi yang dibutuhkan untuk melakukan operasi dasar pada sistem basis data yaitu create, read, delete dan update. RDMBS yang digunakan pada penelitian kali ini adalah MySQL sedangkan pada sistem NoSQL digunakan oleh Redis Database. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Redis Database memiliki waktu eksekusi yang lebih baik daripada MySQL Database, terdapat peningkatan kecepatan waktu eksekusi tersebut sebesar 87.58% pada operasi create, 85.53% pada operasi update, dan pada operasi delete sebesar 86.40% dan sedangkan pada operasi read penigkatan kecepatan waktu eksekusi yang diperoleh sebesar 57.09%, sehingga secara rata-rata database Redis memiliki unjuk kerja yang lebih baik dari database MySQL yaitu sebesar 79.15%.Kata Kunci : MySql Database, Redis Database, Pemgoramaman PHP

Abstract

Photovoltaic (PV) system is an alternative solution to provide electricity at rural area. A common implementation problem at rural area is the PV power plant cannot be monitored continuously. This research proposes wireless node for PV power plant monitoring based on Internet of Things (IoT). Wireless node is aimed for monitoring electrical parameter from the PV and environmental parameter (temperature and solar radiation). Measured parameters are sent to the cloud database to be accessible via the internet. The device consist of a sensor module, signal processing module and wireless transceiver module. Wireless transceiver module is an ESP8266 for connection to the IoT gateway and to the internet. Unidirectional ACS758 is used for current sensing, which give a reading error of 0.091 Ampere. For voltage sensing, a voltage divider is used. It has a reading error of 0.063 Volt. DHT22 is used for temperature sensing. Its reading error is 0.0097 °C. The radiation sensor has a reading error of 0.3 W/m2. Proposed design has been tested at Laboratorium of Energy Convertion, Electrical Engineering Department, UNSOED, on 300Wp PV system. This device provides reliable monitoring data transmission with average and deviation in delivery time consecutively 57 seconds and 2 seconds.

Abstract

Internet Protocol-based Private Branch Exchange (IP PBX) diperlukan untuk menghubungkan panggilan antar perangkat komunikasi Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) di sebuah jaringan lokal (LAN). Dengan adanya IP PBX, layanan VoIP dapat disediakan di atas jaringan data/IP yang sudah tergelar. Penelitian ini kami lakukan untuk mengetahui unjuk kerja VoIP pada dua IP PBX yang menggunakan perangkat lunak server Asterisk dan FreeSWITCH. Kami merancang sebuah arsitektur jaringan eksperimen yang diadaptasi dari topologi bertingkat pada jaringan kampus (CAN) di lokasi penelitian dengan hierarki perangkat yang terdiri dari core switch, distribution switch, dan access switch. Kedua IP PBX ditempatkan pada hierarki yang berbeda pada topologi jaringan tersebut agar dapat diketahui pengaruhnya terhadap unjuk kerja VoIP. Konsep eksperimen ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu dasar untuk mendesain arsitektur IP PBX secara terpusat dan tersebar pada jaringan kampus. Unjuk kerja VoIP kami ukur dengan parameter-parameter Quality of Service (QoS) dan Quality of Experience (QoE). Selain itu, kami juga mengukur konsumsi prosesor dan memori yang dipakai oleh perangkat lunak server VoIP pada saat komunikasi terjadi. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan skenario phone-to-phone pada jaringan eksperimen yang terhubung ke jaringan kampus aktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penempatan IP PBX di hierarki yang berbeda pada topologi jaringan berpengaruh terhadap unjuk kerja VoIP khususnya pada IP PBX Asterisk. Ketika dibandingkan, unjuk kerja IP PBX FreeSWITCH dalam hal QoS dan QoE sedikit lebih baik daripada Asterisk pada rerata latensi/delay, jitter, Mean Opinion Score (MOS), dan konsumsi memori yaitu 41,012 ms, 0,060 ms, 5, dan 1 % untuk IP PBX 1 serta 41,016 ms, 0,066 ms, 5, dan 0,5 % untuk IP PBX 2

Abstract

Lokawisata merupakan salah satu fasilitas publik yang syarat akan informasi. Informasi ini tentunya sangat dibutuhkan oleh para pengunjung dan calon pengunjung. Informasi berupa spot-spot menarik dan potensi dilokasi tersebut. Selain itu, keberadaan informasi ini juga dibutuhkan oleh pihak pengelola untuk melakukan branding potensi yang dimiliki. Saat ini, kondisi di lokawisata Hutan Pinus Limpakuwus (HPL) keberadaan papan informasi belum tersedia secara memadai milik pengelola yang dapat memberikan informasi yang akurat kepada pengunjung dan calon pengunjung lokawisata. Papan Informasi Digital (Digital Signage) saat ini telah banyak digunakan di baik di instansi pemerintah maupun instansi swasta. Papan Informasi digital merupakan salah satu media yang sering digunakan untuk memberikan informasi yang cepat dan akurat yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat secara umum. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah membangun papan informasi digital sebagai sumber informasi sekaligus sarana branding bagi lokawisata di HPL. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa transfer pengetahuan kepada pihak pengelola lokawisata tentang tata cara penggunaan dan pemanfaatan papan informasi digital sebagai media dalam menyebarkan informasi kepada pengunjung dan calon pengunjung menjadi lebih menarik dan up to date
