Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui perlemakan ayam broiler yang diberi tepung enceng gondok fermentasi dalam ransum. Penelitian menggunakan ayam broiler strain lohmann umur 14 hari sebanyak 144 ekor ayam terdiri dari 72 jantan dan 72 betina dengan bobot rata-rata 355,91 ± 16,95 gram, ditempatkan pada 24 petak kandang, setiap petak berisi 6 ekor ayam. Ransum tersusun dari jagung, bungkil kacang kedelai, bekatul, wheat pollard, poultry meat meal, meat bone meal, tepung ikan dan Tepung Eceng Gondok Fermentasi (TEGF). Rancangan percobaan yang di gunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diterapkan adalah penggunaan tepung eceng gondok fermentasi (TEGF) dalam ransum sebagai berikut : T0 (0%), T1 (5%), T2 (10%), T3 (15%). Parameter yang diamati adalah bobot hidup, persentase lemak abdominal, dan persentase lemak daging. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Analisis of Varian (Anova) dengan uji F pada taraf 5% dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Wilayah Ganda Duncan untuk mengetahui perbedaan antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan penggunaan TEGF sampai taraf 15% berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap bobot badan akhir tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap presentase lemak abdominal dan kadar lemak daging. Simpulan penelitian adalah penambahan TEGF dalam ransum sampai taraf 15% menurunkan bobot hidup tanpa berdampak pada persentase lemak abdominal dan lemak daging. Kata kunci : eceng gondok fermentasi; perlemakan; ayam broiler ABSTRACT             The study aimed to know the utilization of fermented water hyacinth in the diet on broiler lipid content. Broiler chickens strain Lohmann at 14 days old amount 144 with 72 males and 72 females average weight 355,91 ± 16,95 g, 24 cages with each unit placed 6 broiler chickens. The diet formulated from corn, soybean meal, rice brand, pollard, poultry meat meal, meat bone meal, fish meal, fermented water hyacinth. The research used completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 6 replication. The treatment used water hyacinth fermented in diet is T0 (0%), T1 (5%), T2 (10%), T3 (15%). Variables observed were body weight, persentage of abdominal fat and percentage of meat fat. The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (Anova) with F test at P level 5% and if the result of the analysis showed that the real effect of treatment would be followed by Duncan test. The results showed that treatment with water hyacinth fermented in the diet give effect (P<0,05) to body weight but this did not effect (P>0,05) to percentage of abdominal and meat fat. The conclusion was treatment with water hyacinth fermented until 15% in diet had no effect on lipid content in broiler chickens. Key words: water hyacinth fermented; fattening up; broiler chicken

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh sistem kandang bertingkat dan penggunaan ampas the dalam ransum terhadap kualitas telur puyuh. Materi yang digunakan 225 ekor puyuh petelur dengan bobot badan rata-rata 122 ± 8,56 g (CV = 7,03).  Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan pola Split Plot terdiri dari tiga ulangan.  Tingkat kandang (L) sebagai petak utama terdiri dari tingkat kandang 1 (L1), tingkat kandang 2 (L2), tingkat kandang 3 (L3), tingkat kandang 4 (L4), tingkat kandang 5 (L5) dan level penggunaan ampas teh (T) sebagai anak petak yaitu T1 :1,5%, T2: 3%, dan T3: 4,5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan sistem kandang bertingkat sampai dengan lantai 5 tidak mempengaruhi kualitas telur dan penggunaan ampas teh berpengaruh menurunkan tebal kerabang telur. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan ampas teh 4,5% menurunkan tebal kerabangKata kunci :puyuh petelur; tingkat kandang; ampas teh; kualitas telur. ABSTRACT The study was to evaluate the effect of tier cage system and diet tea’s waste on egg quality of layer quail. The material were used 225 layer quail with an average weight122 ± 8,56 g (CV =7,03). The experiment arranged in completely randomized with Split Plot design, consists of three replicated.Tier cage system (L) as the main plot consists is 5 level of tier. L1: level one of the cage, L2: level two,L3: level three, L4: level four, L5: level five and tea’s waste level (T) as the subplot consistsof T1: 1,5%, T2: 3%, dan T3: 4,5%.  The results showed the use of tier cage systems up to level 5 did not affect the quality of the eggs and using of  tea’s waste on diet 3 % (P>,005) but tea’s waste up to 4,5% on diet effect of reducing the thick eggshell. The conclusion was tea’s waste could decrease of egg shell quality.Keywords :layer quail;tier cage system; tea’s waste; egg shell quality.

Abstract

ABSTRAK           Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung limbah rumput laut (Glacilaria verrucosa) terfermentasi dalam ransum terhadap kualitas fisik telur puyuh. Puyuh yang digunakan strain Cortunix-cortunix japonica  sebanyak 160 ekor puyuh betina, umur 4 minggu dengan rata-rata bobot badan 112,82 ± 7,04 g. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan percobaan berupa Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari T0: ransum tanpa tepung limbah rumput laut ; T1: ransum dengan tepung limbah rumput laut tidak terfermentasi 10%; T2: ransum dengan fermentasi tepung limbah rumput laut 12,5%; T3: ransum dengan tepung limbah rumput laut terfermentasi 15%. Data yang diperoleh diolah dengan analisis ragam (Anova) dan uji F taraf 5%. Jika terdapat pengaruh perlakuan yang nyata maka dilanjutkan uji wilayah Ganda Duncan. Simpulan dari penelitian adalah penggunaan tepung limbah rumput laut terfermentasi dalam ransum sampai level 15% dapat meningkatkan tebal kerabang, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap bobot telur, indeks kuning telur (IKT), haugh unit (HU) dan warna Yolk telur.Kata Kunci : puyuh; Glacilaria verrucosa; fermentasi; kualitas fisik telur ABSTRACT  This study was aimed to determined the effect of the use of seaweed powder by product (Glacilaria verrucosa) fermented in the ration on physical qualities of quail eggs. Quails were used Cortunix-cortunix japonica strain as much as 160 quails females, aged 4 weeks with an average body weight of 112.82 ± 7.04 g. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) as it’s experimental design, with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments consisted of T0: ration without seaweed by product powder; T1: ration with seaweed by product powder fermented 10%; T2: ration with seaweed by product powder fermented 12,5%; T3: ration with seaweed by product powder fermented 15%. The data obtained were processed by analysis of variance (Anova) and F test level of 5%. If there is a real treatment effect then followed Duncan's Multiple range test. The results showed that treatment seaweed by product powder fermented until level 15% in the diet significantly improve the thick shell, but has no effect on egg weight, yolk index, Haugh Units (HU) and the color of egg yolk.Keywords: quail; Glacilaria verrucosa; fermentation; physical quality of eggs

Abstract

ABSTRAK           Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung limbah rumput laut terfermentasi dalam ransum terhadap kandungan protein, lemak dan antioksidan telur puyuh. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah 160 ekor puyuh petelur, umur 8 minggu dengan rata-rata bobot badan 211,75 ± 4,43 g. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, T0: ransum tanpa penggunaan tepung limbah rumput laut; T1: ransum dengan penggunaan tepung limbah rumput laut non fermentasi 10%; T2: ransum dengan penggunaan tepung limbah rumput laut terfermentasi 12,5%; T3: ransum dengan penggunaan tepung limbah rumput laut terfermentasi 15%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kandungan protein, lemak dan antioksidan telur puyuh. Simpulan penelitian adalah penggunaan tepung limbah rumput laut fermentasi sampai 15% tidak memberikan dampak pada kandungan protein, lemak dan antioksidan telur puyuh. Kata kunci : telur puyuh; limbah rumput laut; protein; lemak; antioksidan. ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of fermented seaweed by product powder in rations for protein, fat and antioxidants of quail eggs. The material that used in this study were 160 quails laying period, 8 weeks of age with an average body weight of 211,75 ± 4,43 g. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications, T0: ration without seaweed by product powder; T1: ration with seaweed by product powder non fermentation 10%; T2: ration with seaweed by product powder fermentation 12,5%; T3: ration with seaweed by product powder fermentation 15%. The results showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P<0,05) for protein, fat and antioxidants of quail eggs. The conclusion of the study is the use of seaweed by product powder fermentation until 15% did not affect protein, fat and antioxidants of quail eggs. Key words : quail eggs; seaweed by product; protein; fat; antioxidants.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung limbah rumput laut terhadap produksi karkas burung puyuh jantan. Materi yang digunakan adalah puyuh jantan (Coturnix coturnix japonica) 160 ekor umur 6 minggu dengan rata – rata bobot badan 120,92 ± 0,48 g. Ransum tersusun dari jagung kuning, bekatul, bungkil kedelai, tepung ikan, PMM, premix, minyak kelapa, tepung limbah rumput laut. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan 5 ulangan, T0: Ransum 0% limbah rumput laut; T1: Ransum 5% limbah rumput laut ; T2: Ransum 7,5% limbah rumput laut; T3: Ransum 10% limbah rumput laut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh (P<0,05) terhadap bobot badan akhir dan bobot karkas tetapi tidak berpengaruh (P>0,05) terhadap persentase karkas. Simpulan penelitian adalah penggunaan tepung limbah rumput laut diatas 5% menurunkan bobot badan akhir dan bobot karkas.Kata Kunci : Puyuh jantan; limbah rumput laut; produksi karkas.ABSTRACTThis study aimed to determine the effect seaweed by product powder for the carcass production of male quail. The material used is a male quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica 160 head age of 6 weeks with an average body weight of 120.92 ± 0.48 g. Ration composed of yellow corn, rice bran, soybean meal, fish meal, PMM, premix, coconut oil, seaweed by product powder.This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments 5 replications, T0: feed 0% seaweed by product; T1: feed 5% seaweed by product; T2: feed 7.5% seaweed by product; T3: feed 10% seaweed by product. The results showed that treatment significantly (P<0.05) to the final body weight and carcass weight but no significant (P> 0.05) on carcass percentage. The conclusions of this research is the used of seaweed by product powder above 5% decreased final body weight and carcass weight.Key words : male quail; seaweed by product; carcass production.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji perubahan mikroklimatik amonia dan kondisi litter kandang ayam broiler periode starter (umur 0 sampai 14 hari) akibat ukuran panjang kandang berbeda. Dua unit kandang ayam broiler closed house digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan kapasitas 11.000 ekor dan 22.000 ekor. Perlakuan dari penelitian ini adalah ukuran panjang kandang closed house yang berbeda (60 m dan 120 m). Parameter yang diamati adalah mikroklimatik amonia dan kondisi litter (amonia ekskreta, amonia litter, suhu, pH dan kadar air litter serta kondisi mikroklimat seperti suhu, kelembaban, kecepatan angin dan Temperature Humidity Index (THI) sebagai data pendukung. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya di uji Paired T Test. Uji korelasi juga dilakukan pada parameter mikroklimatik amonia dan kondisi litter terhadap kondisi mikroklimat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mikroklimatik amonia, amonia ekskreta, amonia litter, suhu, pH dan kadar air litter pada kandang 120 m signifikan (P≤0,05) lebih tinggi daripada kandang 60 m. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan mikroklimatik amonia berkorelasi positif kuat dengan kelembaban udara (RH) dan kecepatan angin (AV). Kesimpulannya adalah kandang closed house dengan ukuran panjang 120 m memiliki mikroklimatik amonia yang lebih tinggi dan kondisi litter yang lebih buruk dibanding kandang 60 m.

Abstract

This study evaluated the addition of turmeric flour (Curcuma domestica) and acidifier in feed on the production Performance of broilers during the starter phase. The materials used in this study were 240 unsexed DOC with an average weight of 40.55±1.69 g/bird. The research method was an experimental trial using a completely randomized design (CRD). There were six treatments and four replications, divided into T0 (commercial feed/basal feed + 0% acidifier + 0% turmeric powder), T1 (basal feed + 0% acidifier + 2.0% turmeric powder), T2 (basal feed + 0.5% acidifier + 1.5% turmeric powder), T3 (basal feed + 1.0% acidifier + 1.0% turmeric powder), T4 (basal feed + 1.5% acidifier + 0.5% turmeric powder), and T5 (basal feed + 2.0% acidifier + 0% turmeric powder). The results showed that the addition of turmeric flour and acidifier in broiler feed during both the starter and finisher phases had a significant effect (p<0.05) on mortality and no significant impact (p>0.05) on feed consumption, weight gain, starter body weight, and FCR. Adding turmeric flour and an acidifier could not increase feed consumption, weight gain, or starter body weight and reduce FCR. However, the addition of turmeric flour and acidifier was able to reduce mortality rates. Further testing related to dosage is needed to achieve the desired results.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of fermented lime peel waste flour (FLPWF) on the digestive tract dimensions of broiler chickens. The materials used include 200 female Lohmann MB 202 broilers aged 14 days, with an average body weight of 379.73 ± 18.72 g. The feed ingredients include yellow corn, soybean meal, fish meal, rice bran, fermented lime peel waste flour, soybean oil, premix, CaCO3, D-L Methionine, and L-Lysine. The study was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with four levels of fermented lime peel waste flour (FLPWF) usage: 0%, 1%, 2%, and 3% in the ration. Each treatment was repeated five times. Data were analyzed for variance using the SPSS 19.0 software. The results showed that the use of FLPWF did not significantly affect the weight and length of the small intestine, as well as the weight-to-length ratio of the small intestine among treatments (P> 0.05). This study concludes that using fermented lime peel waste flour in rations at 1% to 3% does not reduce the relative weight, length, and weight: length ratio of the small intestine of broiler chickens.
