Abstract

Lubuk Larangan merupakan salah satu nilai kearifan tradisional yang masih tetap dipertahankan. Pengambilan ikan dalam Lubuk Larangan mempunyai Ketentuan Adat dan Desa. Pengambilannya dilakukan dalam satu tahun sekali  dan hasilnya dari Lubuk Larangan dipergunakan untuk kepentingan pembangunan desa dan mesjid. Bentuk kearifan lain yang diatur oleh adat dan desa adalah adanya larangan pengambilan ikan di sungai dengan mengunakan pukat panjang, tuba, racun, sentrum, dan bahan-bahan kimia lainnya serta menggunakan lebih dari satu lampu (petromak).  Latar belakangnya adalah jumlah ikan yang diambil oleh seseorang akan melebihi dari  kebutuhan konsumsi rumah tangga (hasil tangkapan besar). Pengambilan buah durian sebelum masak/jatuh dalam jumlah besar juga tidak diperbolehkan dalam peraturan adat dan desa. Semua ini bertujuan untuk menjaga ketersediaan sumber daya alam serta memenuhi kebutuhan anggota masyarakat dalam jangka panjang. Gambaran tersebut adalah merupakan konservasi lingkungan yang berasakan kearifan lokal, secara teoritis hal ini apa yang disebut sebagai Integreted Community Development Conservation. Lubuk larangan adalah sseusatu yang unik dan khas yang tidak dijumpai di tempat-tempat lainya selain di Jambi. Oleh karena alasan tersebut di atas, maka tujuan dari penelitian yang akan dilaksanakan adalah:(1) Memetakan persebaran keruangan dan pola keruangan lubuk larangan di Kabupaten Bungo, Jambi; (2). Menganalisis proses keruangan yang terjadi sebelum, selama dan setelah terbentuknya Lubuk Larangan: (3) Mengetahui sejauh mana peran masyarakat dalam konservasi lingkungan di sekitar lubuk larangan; (4) Mengetahu sejauh mana Integreted Community Development dapat berjalan dalam masyarakat di sekitar lubuk larangan. Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Bungo, Jambi, dengan mengambil sampel penelitian di Desa Lubuk Beringin di Kecamatan Bathin III  Ulu, Kabupaten Bungo, Jambi. Penelitian akan menggunakan metode survey sebelum pra survey akan disiapkan peta tentative tentang persebaran Lubuk Larangan dengan menggunakan source dari Citra Satelit. FGD juga dilaksanakan guna menjaring data tentang pranata-pranata social dalam menyiapkan lubuk larangan, serta hal-hal yang selama ini menjadi kendala dalam pelaksanaannya. Semua data akan dianalisis menggunakan analisis GIS serta analisis deskriptif kualitatif, semua untuk menjawab pola dan proses keruangan seperti yang dipersyaratkan dalam kajian Geografi

Abstract

This research aims at reducing the risks of tsunami by (1) optimizing the learning media of earthquake and tsunami disaster mitigation, (2) designing Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), and (3) applying community-based disaster risk management through spatial modeling to students. Through the activities, the students are expected to comprehend the early detections of tsunami and mitigation efforts that need to be made. The methods employed are conducting survey at lowland areas in Pacitan which are vulnerable to tsunami disaster, mapping tsunami-prone areas, constructing the map of tsunami disaster risks. By applying Geospatial Information Technology a tsunami model and its impacts are created at the lowlands in Pacitan. The preliminary data are taken by using either remote sensing imagery or aerial photography in which the image processing has been conducted before. The results of this application will be used to train teachers in the Teacher Networks (MGMP—Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) of Geography and Guidance and Counseling (BP) subjects. This research will be carried out in three stages, comprising the identification of DRR media, the practice of DRR using spatial information technology, particularly spatial modeling, and the simulation of tsunami disaster mitigation.

Abstract

STEM and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) learning models have been applied to support 21st century learning. However, no empirical evidence has been found to reveal the combined effectiveness of the two models. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of STEM, Project-Based Learning (PjBL), and lecture learning models in improving critical thinking skills. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 8 Ternate City, North Maluku Province, involving 64 students divided into three classes studying Indonesian natural resource management. A concurrent embedded strategy combining quantitative and qualitative data collection was used. Initial test data indicated reliability at 0.76, with normality tests for the STEM model at 0.08, the PjBL model at 0.13, and lecture learning at 0.14, all showing normally distributed data. The homogeneity test showed homogeneous data with a value of 1.097. The balance test using one-way ANOVA indicated balanced initial abilities (Fhitung 2.52 Ftabel 3.14). Results demonstrated that by applying the STEM and PjBL learning models, students achieved proficiency in critical thinking skills. Final test data, including normality tests, one-way unequal ANOVA, and post-ANOVA tests, showed significant improvement in critical thinking skills. The STEM model and PjBL model were both effective with no significant differences between them, while both differed significantly from the lecture learning model. The results suggest that both STEM and PjBL models are effective in enhancing critical thinking skills. To address the shortcomings of traditional lecture methods, educators should consider integrating STEM and PjBL approaches into their teaching practices.
