Abstract

Abstrak: Sejumlah masalah yang dihadapi oleh lembaga pendidikan tampak sangat kom­pleks, di antaranya belum maksimalnya mutu pada semua jenjang pendidikan. Pening­katan kualitas lembaga pendidikan Islam merupakan sesuatu yang mutlak ha­rus dilakukan karena merupakan bagian dari sistem pendidikan nasional. Pening­kat­an mutu lembaga itu bertujuan memberi jaminan kepada masyarakat, yakni suatu jamin­an bahwa penyelenggaraan pendi­dikan itu sesuai de­ngan apa yang seharusnya terjadi dan diharapkan masyarakat. Berdasarkan karakteristiknya, institusi pendidikan Islam tidak hanya mencetak figur intelektual yang potensial, melainkan juga mencetak figur yang berkarakter dan beretika. Perhatian utama dari institusi pendidikan Islam adalah meningkatkan kualitas jasmani dan rohani.Abstract: The problems faced by educational institutions are more complicated. One of them is the quality of all the level education have not increased. The increasing quality of islamic educational institutions is something absolut because it is a part of educational national system. The increasing quality of the institutions have a purpose to give a guarantee to the people, a guarantee that the implementation of the education appropriates with what must be happen and wished by the people. Based on its characteristic, islamic educational institutions not only create the potential intelectually figure (intelectual oriented), but also create the character and ethical figure. The main concern of the islamic educational institution is the improvement of both body and spirit.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter menjadi hal penting untuk membentuk generasi penerus bangsa yang berakhlak mulia dan berperilaku baik di tengah tantangan zaman yang semakin kompleks. Artikel ini bertujuan membahas makna, tujuan, dan manfaat implementasi pendidikan karakter di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur untuk mengkaji berbagai sumber tertulis terkait topik pendidikan karakter. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter berperan dalam membentuk kepribadian siswa, mencegah masalah sosial remaja, menyiapkan generasi bertanggung jawab, memberi bekal hidup bermasyarakat, dan mendukung prestasi akademik siswa. Disarankan agar pendidikan karakter diintegrasikan dalam kurikulum, diajarkan melalui keteladanan dan pembiasaan, dengan kolaborasi sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat. Pendidikan karakter penting diterapkan untuk membentuk generasi penerus bangsa yang tidak hanya cerdas intelektual, tetapi juga berkarakter mulia dan bermoral.

Abstract

This program aims to introduce Augmented Reality (AR) technology as an interactive learning medium for practical instruction in Vocational High Schools (SMK). Within the context of educational digitalization and the challenges posed by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the implementation of AR technology presents an alternative solution to enhance students’ interest, motivation, and learning outcomes. The outreach activities targeted both teachers and students through interactive lectures and demonstrations of mobile-based AR applications. The outcomes indicate improved teacher understanding of AR’s potential to support practice-oriented curricula, along with a growing readiness to integrate AR into the teaching and learning process. This initiative is expected to serve as a foundational step toward a more adaptive and technology-driven educational transformation.

Abstract

Principal leadership training is one of the strategic efforts to improve the quality of governance and organizational climate in educational units. This community service activity was carried out at SMKN 5 Majene with the aim of equipping the principal and school management team in building a cohesive and communicative school climate. The training method used combines transformative leadership theory with a participatory approach through discussions, case studies, and simulations. Participants consisting of school principals, vice principals, and representative teachers participated in a series of activities for two days. Evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test as well as reflective questionnaires to measure changes in participants' understanding and behavior. The results of the training showed an increase in the average score of participants from 58.3 in the pre-test to 85.1 in the post-test, indicating the success of knowledge and skills transfer. In addition, there has been a significant change in teachers' communication patterns and involvement in decision-making, which supports the formation of a more open and collaborative work climate. The implementation of follow-up plans such as the establishment of the School Internal Communication Forum and weekly reflection sessions are clear evidence of the school's commitment to maintaining the sustainability of these changes. This activity makes an important contribution in strengthening the capacity of school leadership as a key factor in improving the quality of education and providing an applicative and contextual training model for other schools.

Abstract

Interactive media training is an important need in improving the quality of the learning process in higher education. The use of interactive media allows students to play an active role in the learning process so as to improve understanding and learning outcomes. This community service aims to carry out training on the use of interactive media for lecturers and students and analyze its impact on student learning outcomes. The activity involved 33 students and lecturers of the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Makassar as training participants. The training method is in the form of interactive workshops and hands-on practice of using interactive media. Evaluation is carried out through pre-test and post-test, as well as observation of participant involvement. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes and an improvement in lecturers' skills in applying digital learning media. This training is expected to encourage the implementation of interactive media more optimally in the learning process in higher education.

Abstract

The geodetic GPS training program is a form of community service aimed at enhancing the technical competencies of vocational high school students in the fields of surveying and mapping. This initiative was driven by the students’ limited ability to operate modern geospatial measuring instruments, which are essential in today’s industrial sector. The partner institution in this program was SMK Negeri 1 Takalar, targeting Grade XI and XII students from the DPIB (Building Drawing and Information Design) department. The program was conducted using an experiential learning approach, consisting of brief theoretical sessions, field practices, and a mini project involving the creation of a GPS-based map. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in students’ understanding of basic GNSS concepts and their practical skills in collecting and processing coordinate data. Post-test scores increased by 63% compared to the pre-test, and all student groups successfully completed simple mapping projects independently. This training also enhanced students’ self-confidence and positively impacted their job readiness. These findings indicate that hands-on, practice-based training is highly effective in bridging the competency gap between vocational education and industry needs, and it should be continued through more advanced and structured training programs.
