Abstract

Adolescence is a very complex period. Various teen problems haunt when they grow up to become adults. The same teenagers successfully face the challenges of their development so that they are free from a variety of risky behaviors. However, some of them also smoke, consume alcohol, have free sex, commit violence, and use drugs. This research is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach in which researchers explore and try some risky behaviors in health and factors that influence and how adolescents in vocational high schools end up committing some risky behavior. The results of the study show that teens who do not have risky behavior and who do have some risk behaviors have different understandings related to the impact of these behaviors. People around teenagers influence how teenagers will behave. These influential people can cause teenagers to take risky behavior, such as family problems, get bad examples from parents, family members, peers, and idols. Factors that influence adolescents to end up committing risky behavior are the understanding of the negative effects of risk behavior. The various causes of influential people include parents, peers, religious leaders, idols, perceived benefits, self-control, and intention. The internal and external factors of adolescents determine whether the teenager will do or not risky behavior. Strong collaboration between internal and external factors shapes behavior which is not risky in adolescents, and vice versa.

Abstract

Background: Hands are parts of the human body that are agents of disease transmission. It is known that the transmission of COVID-19 is through hands. Therefore, the way to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 is by washing hands with soap (CTPS). Moreover, at Watupecah State Elementary School there has never been any research related to CTPS and students' lack of knowledge regarding CTPS. So, the school during the COVID-19 pandemic needs to increase knowledge about CTPS. One way to increase knowledge is by providing health education related to CTPS with video media through its strong visualization. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of video media on the level of knowledge of handwashing with soap in preventing COVID-19 among students at the Watupecah State Elementary School Tempel Sleman. Methods: The study used a Quasi-Experimental research design using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The 45 students in this study were from Watupecah State Elementary School's 4th and 5th grades. Total sampling was used to acquire data. The Wilcoxon Sign Ranks Test was performed to analyze the data. Results: Before receiving video media intervention, 17 people (37.8%) had a high level of knowledge, which climbed to 36 persons after receiving video media intervention (80 percent ). The Wilcoxon Sign Ranks test yielded a p-value of 0.000, which is significantly lower than the p-value of 0.05, with Ha accepted and Ho rejected. Conclusion: Students at the State Elementary School of Watupecah Tempel Sleman have an influence of video media on their level of awareness of handwashing with soap in the prevention of COVID-19.

Abstract

Background: Bantul Regency is one of the cities that implement the Smoke-Free Healthy Zone program. Based on the results of PHBS data collection in the community and Riskesdas in 2018, the low coverage of PHBS families was mostly due to smoking behavior in the house. Methods: The type of research used is qualitative with a case study design. Data collection was obtained by conducting in-depth interviews, observations, and visual images. The research subjects were 14 people. Results: The results of research on input indicators show that human resources are not appropriate, funding is adequate, there is no renewal of health promotion media, and there is a written policy. In the process indicators, the results of the socialization of written policies, KSABR messages, KSBAR counseling are obtained, but there is no arrangement of duties and responsibilities on the part of the monitoring team. Meanwhile, the output indicators show that KSBAR has a positive impact on residents, there are warnings for those who violate it but there is no special sanction, and a special smoking area has been provided. Conclusion: the evaluation of KSBAR based on input, process, and output indicators has shown good results although there are still parts that are not in line with expectations, such as human resources that are not yet appropriate, there are no special sanctions for violators, there is no renewal of health promotion media and smoking areas that do not comply with regulations.
