Abstract

Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara  agraris dimana sebagian besar penghasilan masyarakat Indonesia yaitu dari pertanian. Untuk mempertahan harga jual hasil pertanian, maka diperlukan perhatian khusus dalam penyimpanan hasil panen di gudang terutama kadar air hasil panen. Pada penelitian dalam bentuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dibuat sebuah alat monitoring kadar air pada gabah dengan memanfaatkan mikrokontroler node MCU dan sensor kadar air yang terhubung ke internet. Data monitoring kadar air disimpan pada database dan pengguna dapat mengaksesnya melalui perangkat smartphone pada halaman website. Sehingga pengguna dapat mengakses kondisi hasil panen mereka yang ada di gudang bisa dilakukan dimana saja. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan di Desa Kampungbaru, Nganjuk. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi dan pengujian, hasil pembacaan sensor kadar air pada gabah sebesar 14% dapat dikirim ke server dan dapat diakses oleh pengguna menggunakan smartphone.

Abstract

In this paper, the performances of the joint technique of PAPR Reduction with ICF method and predistortion with inverse Saleh model on OFDM system are evaluated. The system’s performances at the receiver are presented by constellation nodes of QAM symbols From the experiment results can be shown that the predistorstion improves the system’s performance since the spreading of constellation nodes became smaller. While the performances of PAPR reduction technique are shown as the PAPR reduction values for clipping ratio (CR) values of 5, 4 and 3. The PAPR reduction values are 7,6 dB, 8,4 dB and 9,4 dB. And the predistortion technique can reduce the PSD gain of OFDM signal and linear high power amplifier of 30 dB.

Abstract

Cooking oil is an essential commodity in everyday life in Indonesia, with palm oil consumption reaching 18.5 million tons in 2021, according to the Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI). High levels of consumption can potentially increase the risk of health problems. To reduce oil consumption, slicing of food is required. However, this process is often done manually, which is less effective. Therefore, this study proposes the development of an automatic control device using the YF-S201 flow sensor, TCS3200 color sensor, and DS18B20 temperature sensor, which then processes the data using the fuzzy logic method. Data processing and monitoring are performed using ESP32, displaying results on the LCD and website. Data is stored in a MySQL database. The test was conducted on shrimp crackers weighing 0.5kg for 1 minute 25 seconds. This control device is hoped to help households, traders, and MSMEs as an effective and efficient solution. The characteristics of the three sensors, namely the TCS3200 colour sensor, flow sensor YF-S201, and temperature sensor DS18B20, it was found that the sensor had worked well as expected, with a maximum error percentage of 0.91%. In one of the tests to drain oil on oily crackers, the oil flow was detected to be 0.07 litres/minute of oil flowing out of the oil filter.

Abstract

Menurut Menteri Agama sesuai dengan Surat Edaran Menteri Agama Republik Indonesia tentang Pedoman Penggunaan Pengeras Suara di Masjid dan Musala, penggunaan pengeras suara di masjid dan musala merupakan kebutuhan bagi umat Islam sebagai salah satu media syiar Islam di tengah masyarakat. Pada saat yang bersamaan, masyarakat Indonesia juga beragam, baik agama, keyakinan, latar belakang, dan lainnya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk merawat persaudaraan dan harmoni sosial. Merujuk kepada poin C.2.c tentang Ketentuan Pemasangan dan Penggunaan Pengeras Suara, volume pengeras suara diatur sesuai dengan kebutuhan, dan paling besar 100 dB (seratus desibel). Dari ketentuan tersebut, Prodi Sarjana Terapan Teknik Telekomunikasi akan menerapkan sistem pengukur level pengeras suara masjid dan musala sebagai standardisasi dan prosedur operasi khusus (SOP) yang dapat digunakan dengan mudah oleh masjid dan musala yang ada di seluruh Indonesia. Penggunaan alat pengukur level suara yang ada di pasar atau yang dapat disebut sebagai digital sound level meter, akan digunakan untuk mempermudah operasional dan ketersediaan alat. Dengan adanya pengabdian masyarakat ini, diharapkan alat pengukur suara takmir masjid dan masyarakat dapat menggunakan pengeras suara masjid sesuai Surat Edaran Menteri Agama No SE. 05 Tahun 2022.

Abstract

There are many motor vehicle accidents on the road, one of the causes being tire blowouts. These accidents occur because drivers continue to drive their vehicles even though the tire pressure and temperature exceed the specified threshold. To address this issue, there is a need for a tire pressure and temperature monitoring system that can be continuously monitored by the driver. If there is a malfunction in the monitoring device on the vehicle dashboard, the driver can be alerted by others who also monitor tire pressure and temperature information remotely. In this study, we developed a tire pressure and temperature monitoring system for vehicles that can be accessed remotely using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Additionally, we utilized Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology for pressure and temperature data reading. This system successfully monitors tire pressure and temperature changes remotely via computer and smartphone. Based on the test results, the best standard deviation value for tire pressure is 3.54, while the best standard deviation value for tire temperature is 1.72

Abstract

The quality of electric power is one of the most important things in the industrial world, with good power quality, industrial efficiency will also increase which will result in savings in production costs. Energy consumption must also be monitored in such a way for the purposes of analyzing electrical energy efficiency. Therefore, the author designed a tool called a 3 phase energy meter that can monitor energy consumption and power quality for industry with a 3 phase electrical system. The 3 phase energy meter is equipped with an IoT system so that the observation of the measurement results of every electrical machine system in the industry can be done at one point without having to go to the location. The hope is that with the 3 phase energy meter, it can improve production efficiency through power quality analysis.

Abstract

Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) have developed into an essential element in vehicles to improve safety and driving experience. In general, TPMS systems rely on special hardware to collect and transmit tire pressure data to the vehicle's on-board computer and this data can only be viewed by the driver and passengers in the vehicle. In this study, we developed a remote tire pressure and temperature monitoring system using IoT technology. The MQTT protocol facilitated communication between the cloud server and controller, while the system uses Docker container to simplify program integration. The results revealed the optimal standard deviation for tire pressure in hatchback vehicles to be 2.24, and for Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MPVs), it was 2.97. For tire temperature, the best standard deviation in hatchback vehicles was 1.93, compared to 1.05 in MPVs. This system effectively monitors tire pressure and temperature changes in real time, accessible remotely via smartphones and computers.

Abstract

Renewable energy is being used to lessen the consumption of fossil fuels. Solar energy is a common source of renewable energy. Solar energy is the most promising source of energy due to its long-term sustainability and availability. The output power of solar panels is strongly influenced by the intensity of sunlight and the temperature of the solar panels. Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) control, which aims to optimize the output power of solar panels, is commonly used to increase the efficiency of solar panels. However, MPPT control often causes overvoltage disturbance in systems directly connected to the load. To limit the output power of solar panels, additional Constant Power Generation (CPG) control is required. In this research, a solar panel system will be created to supply submersible DC pumps without any energy storage devices. DC-DC SEPIC Converter is designed with MPPT control combined with CPG control to limit the output power of the converter using the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System method by 150 watts. When the output power of the solar panel is less than the power limit, then MPPT mode will work. While CPG mode works when the PV output power is greater than the limit power. The results of this research showed that the system can provide optimal power generated by solar panels in MPPT mode by increasing efficiency by up to 33.04% and CPG mode can limit power to 150 Watts to avoid overvoltage disturbance at load.

Abstract

Nowadays, water heater is a common household appliance. Water heater can be divided into three types, based on fuel sources: gas, diesel, and electric. Electric water heater is the most common due to its ease of use. The problems that often occur on electric water heater are over-temperature due to user error in setting up the thermostat and inaccurate readings caused by a conventional system control. These problems will cause a surge in power consumption. Over-temperature and conventional control inaccuracies can be overcome using the Artificial Intelligence (AI) control algorithm in the form of an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). The proposed algorithm acts as a control by maintaining the stability of the temperature to obtain more accurate results. An accurate temperature reading can lower power consumption in electric water heater. This study tries to simulate Electric Water Heater temperature control using the ANFIS algorithm until stable readings can be achieved in all temperature settings. Results from disturbance tests in the form of external condition that causes sudden temperature change show that the system can maintain stability with an average error margin of 0.045% and the rate of accuracy of 99.955%.

Abstract

Batteries are essential to many contemporary applications, including electric cars and portable electronics. Overheating and charging time efficiency are the two biggest issues with battery charging. Overheating presents safety hazards and hastens battery deterioration. Due to their inability to regulate temperature, conventional charging techniques like Constant Current - Constant Voltage (CC-CV) result in excessive temperature rises during battery charging, which shortens battery life. A novel approach that helps lessen excessive temperature rises is the Constant Temperature - Constant Voltage (CT-CV) method, according to researchers. In order to avoid excessive temperature increases during the initial charging, the CT technique initially regulates the applied temperature. Second, to guarantee full capacity without causing damage to the battery, the CV technique is used to maintain a steady voltage. A fuzzy logic controller (FLC) control system is used to regulate the temperature and current at the DC-DC converter's output. The FLC control system's goal is to control the duty cycle such that the buck converter's output is 65V 11.5A. The simulation results show that the CT-CV method can reduce the increase in temperature in the battery with an average temperature during the battery charging process of 23.57° C with fuzzy control and 23.71° C with PI control. In addition, by comparing two control systems with the CT-CV method, namely PI and fuzzy, it was found that the fuzzy method was able to accelerate battery charging by 4.16% compared to the PI control.
