Abstract

Srn+1TinO3n+1 (n = 1, 2,...n)Ruddlesden-Popper phase is a metal oxide compound with a layered structure consisting of SrTiO3 perovskite layers and strontium oxide (SrO) layers, thus this material has a potential as termoeletrik compounds that could be developed as an alternative material for renewable energy. In this study, we examine one of the 3 parameters of termoelectric properties, namely the electrical conductivity. Srn+1TinO3n+1 (n = 1 and 2)Ruddlesden-Popper phases were synthesized using molten salt method. The synthesis was carried out at 950 °C for 10 hours with a ratio of precursor and salt were 1: 0.5. Structural analysis by X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) confirmed that all synthesized compounds formed Srn+1TinO3n+1 (n = 1, and 2) Ruddlesden-Popper phase with the characteristic peaks at 2q = 31o, 32o, and 46o. The morphology analysis by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) showed that the particles have plate-shaped with crystallites size were 20 nm. The electrical properties were measured using LCR meter with the highest electrical conductivity of 2.25x10-7 S / cm which showed the semiconductors behaviour.

Abstract

In this research, undoped-Sr2TiO4 and codoped-Sr2TiO4 Ruddlesden-Popper (RP) phase compounds have been synthesized with mole variations of Sr:Ti and dopants. Double substitution with Sm3+ for Sr2+ sites and Nb5+ for Ti4+ sites forming Sr2-xSmxTi1-yNbyO4 (x = 0.0125; 0.025; 0.05; 0.1 and y = 0.0125) aimed to increase the number of electrons carrier, so that the electrical conductivity enhanced. The XRD patterns showed that the highest purity of prepared Sr2TiO4 RP phase sample was obtained at the mole ratio of Sr:Ti of 2:1 with specific peaks at 2θ: 31.35°, 46.73°, and 57.33°. Then, this mole ratio was used to prepare the codoped-samples, and the XRD patterns showed the Sr1.95Sm0.05Ti0.9875Nb0.0125O4 sample has the highest purity. SEM images showed that the undoped-Sr2TiO4 and codoped-Sr2TiO4 samples have a plate-like particles with micrometer size. The electrical conductivity of Sr1.95Sm0.05Ti0.9875Nb0.0125O4 sample was measured to be a 17-fold increase compared to that of undoped-Sr2TiO4 sample.

Abstract

Bioplastics are bio-based plastics from natural resources, made to replace conventional plastics. The utilization of biopolymers in bioplastics provide a faster degradation compared to petroleum-based plastics. Starch-based bioplastic from mixing Durio zibethinus Murr starch and glycerol as plasticizer have been conducted. In this research, the concentration of glycerol has been varied to study the effect on starch-based bioplastics mechanical properties. The tensile strength for Durio zibethinus Murr starch-based bioplastic with 20% glycerol was 50.28 MPa with 13.3% elongation. The functional group found on the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) spectra indicated the presence of O-H stretch, C-H stretch, C=O stretch, and C-O stretch which stated the formation of bioplastic. The image results gained from scanning electron microscope (SEM) showed that the morphology surface of bioplastic was less homogenous and rough. The soil burial test for biodegradability showed Durio zibethinus Murr starch-based bioplastic achieved 38.9% weight loss in a 5-day observation.

Abstract

Bengkulu City is an area that has a high potential threat of natural disasters. One effort that can be made is to form a Disaster Preparedness School (SSB). The Bengkulu Provincial Government has formed SSB which is a program of the United National Development Program (UNDP). However, when a school has been labeled SSB but the community in the school environment is not ready, of course, it will be a problem and interesting to study. The aim of this research is to look at the preparedness of students at disaster preparedness schools (SSB) in Bengkulu City in facing the threat of disaster. This research method is qualitative, and descriptive in nature. The population in this study were elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools located in the red zone of disaster threat in Bengkulu City. The sample in this study consisted of a sample of the school environment and a sample of respondents (students and teachers). School environment samples were taken using purposive sampling techniques. Sampling considerations are 1) elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools located less than 500 meters from the beach; 2) a topography of 25 meters above sea level; and 3) a slope of 0% -15% from sea level. The samples in this study were SD Negeri 1, SMP Negeri 15, and SMA Negeri 6 Bengkulu City. The sample of respondents were students. The sampling of student and teacher respondents in this study used the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique by taking 10% of the number of students per class in each disaster-prepared school. The sample of student respondents was 187 students and the sample of teacher respondents was 117 people. This research will be carried out for one year—data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies. The research results show that the preparedness of students at the disaster preparedness school SDN 1 Kota Bengkulu falls into the ready category with a score of 53.9 or 50.0075. The readiness of students at the disaster preparedness school SMPN 15 Bengkulu City falls into the ready category with a score of 53.57 or 50.0075. The preparedness of students at the SMAN 6 Bengkulu City disaster preparedness school is included in the ready category which is at 71.25 or 75.00.

Abstract

Implementation of the Independent Curriculum set by the government raises a number of challenges in the field, especially those related to teacher and school readiness. This curriculum demands a comprehensive understanding from educators and school officials, especially at the elementary school level. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection through observation, interviews and document analysis. The data analysis process includes stages of reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the readiness of teachers in Padangsidimpuan City public elementary schools in implementing the Independent Curriculum is at a fairly good level. This is reflected in the teacher's ability to understand the main components of the curriculum, including lesson planning, implementation of the teaching and learning process, and learning assessment. Teachers also demonstrate adequate understanding of learning tools, such as legal foundations, learning objectives, media, learning models, and supporting facilities and infrastructure. This readiness is supported by teachers' active participation in various professional development programs, such as training through the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM), seminars, webinars, workshops and In House Training (IHT). Apart from that, teachers are able to develop open learning modules, implement differentiated learning in class, and carry out evaluations according to the Independent Curriculum guidelines.

Abstract

The intention and purpose of creating adaptations are often discussed in the film adaptation and comparative study. By using adaptation theory from Desmond and Hawkes (2006) and the instinctive theory of life and death from Sigmund Freud, this research aims to analyse the different ideas between the novel “Mickey7” and the film “Mickey17”. The analysis includes finding the intrinsic elements of both data sources and by using Freud’s life and death instinct theory, psychoanalysing the two main characters. The result showed that “Mickey17” is an intermediate adaptation. The main characters in the novel, Mickey7 and Mickey8, represent the life instinct as they both want to live and show that they want to live by solving their problem together to not being eliminated. However, the main characters in the film, Mickey17 and Mickey18, represent life and death instincts, respectively. While Mickey17 has affection and sexual desire, Mickey18 is a Mickey who is more violent and antagonistic towards Mickey17 and the other characters around them.

Abstract

The feasibility of laboratory equipment is a crucial factor in ensuring the quality and safety of practical and research activities. At the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Andalas, the classification of equipment feasibility is still performed manually, leading to inefficiencies and potential assessment errors. This study aims to develop and implement a web-based information system for classifying the feasibility of laboratory equipment using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The research applies a system development approach following the Waterfall model, starting with requirement analysis, system modeling using Context Diagram, DFD, and ERD, and implementation using PHP and MySQL. The Naïve Bayes algorithm calculates the probability of each feasibility class based on attributes such as procurement year, usage level, damage condition, usage duration, and accessory status. Test results indicate that the system successfully classifies equipment into three categories serviceable, needs repair, and unserviceable with 95% acceptable accuracy. The system generates report-based outputs that support strategic decision-making in equipment maintenance and procurement planning. Thus, this information system is expected to enhance the efficiency and objectivity of laboratory asset management through a data-driven and measurable digital platform.
