Abstract

An experiment had been carried out to determine the viscosity coefficient of aquadest (destilled water) by using Stokes falling ball method. The detection of the balltime during the experiment is done using magnetic induction censor while the reading of induction time data uses adobe audition 1.5 software. By doing this technique the measurement of magnetic ball travel time can minimize the weakness of the ball falling travel measurement which is usually done manually. In this experiment the determination of the coefficient of viscosity by varying the diameter of the tube. The purpose of this experiment was to determine the effect of tube diameter on the viscosity coefficient  Based on the results of the experiment, the bigger the tube diameter is, the smaller the viscosity coefficient will be. If the tube diameter is bigger again, the viscosity coefficient will be flatter. So, viscosity coefficient is always constant for each of the increase of tube diameter.

Abstract

Discipline is one thing that is important in achieving the maximum target in the learning process . Besides the performance of the task is an effort to instill a deeper concept in a subject matter . With the homework expected of students actively learn and be stimulated to enhance better learning , fostering initiative and are solely responsible bold . Sengganggnya so students use the time for things that support their learning by completing activities that are useful and constructive With discipline and performance of the duties expected student achievement in the field of study of physics can be optimal.                          The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the discipline of learning and the performance of the duties of the learning outcomes of physics . This type of research is experimental . Collecting data using questionnaires and tests . The research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pekalongan , randomly selected sample . The data analysis technique used is the calculation of the linear regression analysis . The results showed that the discipline of learning and administration tasks affect student learning outcomes , it is obtained from the results of hypothesis testing on the discipline of learning on learning outcomes in Fhit = 20.32 greater than t table at significance level α = 5 % Fdaf = 4 , 10 . While testing the hypothesis on the performance of the duties of the student learning outcomes obtained with Fdaf value = 48.67 greater than the significance level α = 5 % tdaf = 4.10 . After the authors conducted a study proved that the suspect had a significant influence between disciplines home learning and task performance on learning outcomes , the authors suggest to students to be more disciplined in learning activities , so that the learning outcomes that will be obtained will be better and in accordance with the expected . For teachers to further streamline the tasks given to the students , not just the task of completing a matter of course , but the task of creating a summary and demonstrate concepts learned in class.

Abstract

Providing material in theory and experiments in physics learning to students is very important and must be balanced. Besides that students are aware of a concept that has been created by scientists in physics, but also clear and understood the concept both theoretically and experimentally. In this study, will compare student learning outcomes after a given learning in real experiments and simulation experiments on simple harmonic motion of the subject.Data collection method used is the questionnaire method tests. Test method consists of pretest and posttest are used to determine students learning achievement physics. Test instruments used are validity with product moment correlation technique, reliability testing with formula Kuder-Richardson 20 (KR-20), difficulty level test, and test different power. For the prerequisite data analysis in this study to test for normality using the formula Chi-Square and homogeneity test using Bartletts test. The data obtained are then processed with the hypothesis test using t-test formula.The results of data analysis showed that there are significant differences between real experimental learning methods with experimental simulation of the physics students achievement of learning comprehension. This is indicated by the acquisition of the t value of 2.460 while ttable at 5% significance level with 32 degrees of freedom is 1.691. The increase in the average score of student achievement (posttest) showed that student achievement using real experimental method 1.77 higher than on student achievement using simulation experiments 0.74, so the proposed hypothesis can be accepted.

Abstract

From the observations in SMP Utama Wacana III Tulang Bawang Barat, the motivation of the students is very low, so the students' learning activity is low to. This problem appears when the teacher explains the teori, some students are drowsy, daydreaming, there is also chatting with his friends. This study aims to determine the effect of student learning activities with the provision of motivation in the form of written media in the form of bulletins and posters. The research method is experimental method using two classes, that is experiment class and control class. The data collecting is done by posttest only control group design. From the results of research conducted, it was found that the average learning activity that was given the motivation to use the media in the form of bulletin and poster higher than the average of learning activities that are not motivated using the media in the form of bulletins and posters with test data difference of two average obtained t -hit = 3.95 and t-daf = 1.68, showing t-hit> t-daf. So it is important if in the classroom given posters that can motivate students and if you can add with articles that can increase student motivation as well, awareness for learning increases so that student learning activities increase.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil survei pada kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Metro diperoleh hasil ulangan harian IPA siswa semester ganjil masih rendah, hanya 13,3% siswa yang mencapai KKM, sedangkan 88,7% belum mencapai KKM. KKM yang ditetapkan sekolah adalah 75. Kesiapan siswa sebelum proses pembelajaran masih sangat kurang dan banyak siswa tidak memperhatikan penjelasan guru pada saat pembelajaran. Sebagai alternatif pemecahan masalah maka dilakukan penelitian eksperimen yaitu dengan pemberian pre test dan post test.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pre test dan post test terhadap kesiapan dan hasil belajar IPA. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Metro yang berjumlah 219 terdiri dari 7 kelas. Sampel dipilih menggunakan Cluster Random Sampling. Pada kelas eksperimen diterapkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pre test dan post test dalam kegiatan pembelajarannya, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran yang biasa digunakan dalam kelas tersebut. Pada akhir pembelajaran, kedua kelas sampel diberi tes akhir dengan menggunakan instrumen yang sama. Metode pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode tes, observasi dan angket.Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan Ttes dapat ditarik kesimpulan sebagai berikut: 1) ada pengaruh pemberian pre test dan post test terhadap kesiapan belajar. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari adanya perbedaan rata-rata kesiapan belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya disertai pre test dan post test, dan kesiapan belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya tanpa pre test dan post test. Perhitungan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata kesiapan belajar siswa diperoleh thitung > tdaftar (pada taraf signifikan 5% maupun 1%). 2) ada pengaruh pemberian pre test dan post test terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari adanya perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya disertai pre test dan post test, dan hasil belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya tanpa pre test dan post test. Perhitungan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata hasil belajar siswa diperoleh thitung > tdaftar (pada taraf signifikan 5% maupun 1%). Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pre test dan post test berpengaruh positif terhadap kesiapan dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Metro. Saran untuk agar pembelajaran yang disertai pemberian pre test dan post test dapat diaplikasikan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk mengajak siswa siap, memotivasi dan menambah antusiasme belajar siswa untuk lebih giat lagi.

Abstract

Pandemi covid 19 memaksa penggunaan pembelajaran daring sebagai alternatif dalam proses pendidikan, dan kemungkinan akan menjadi kelaziman baru pada era Revolusi Industri 4.0 saat ini. Pembelajaran daring cukup potensial untuk meningkatkan kemampuan aspek kognitif, namun untuk mengembangkan aspek psikomotor rasanya cukup sulit jika menggunakan pembelajaran daring. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah pengambangan model pembelajaran daring yang dipadukan dengan praktikum untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dan psikomotor. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitataif. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan untuk mengolah data hasil belajar kognitif dan psikomotor sebagai efek penggunaan model yang dikembangkan, sedangkan pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk mengungkap kelebihan dan kelemahan model yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran perpaduan sistem daring dan praktikum memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan aspek kognitif (N-Gain=56,4%), maupun aspek psikomotor (N-Gain=81,77%). Sesuai hasil penelitian, maka model pembelajaran daring dipadu dengan praktikum dapat digunakan dalam situasi pandemi covid-19. Pelaksanaan praktikum hendaknya terjadwal dan dilaksanakan secara kelompok dengan memperhatikan lokasi kedekatan peserta didik.

Abstract

Researchers have completed research on the development of wind speed measuring tools based on Adobe Audition 1.5 in innovation and implementation of scientific physics. The purpose of this research is to get a calibrated wind speed measuring instrument, valid, and have good feasibility. The method used was an experimental method, that is designing, making, calibration, and validation. The results reveal that the tool made is well calibrated. The calibration results indicates that the tools is very well, with a fault tolerance of 1.77%. Based on the result of feasibility test by two validators, it is obtained score of 100 which means the tool made is very feasible.

Abstract

The sun is a source of energy that cannot be used up. Therefore, the utilization of solar energy must be a priority. With the many types of solar panels that have been developed, researchers conducted an analysis of 150 watt monocrystalline solar panels. The purpose of this study is to know the amount of current and voltage produced by solar panels in some conditions of the sky, namely cloudy, bright cloudy, and bright. The research method used was the experiment. From the data that has been obtained, it can be found that the energy produced by solar panels during cloudy ranges from 0.6-0.8 amperes, when it is cloudy, 0.9-1.9 amperes, and when bright 2.0-3.2 amperes. The amount of electrical energy that can be produced is 8%. However, if the sunny state can produce twice that Suggestions for readers are if you want to take data to make sure the solar panels are completely exposed to the sun during data collection and in the open area. Abstract

The role of school laboratories is vital in helping junior high school students learn science. Many schools have laboratory facilities but are underutilized. This study aims to optimize the role of school laboratories through action research. In three cycles, the writer carried out the SMP Negeri 2 Metro research and SMP Negeri 6 Metro. The first cycle carried out technical guidance to the laboratory manager. Still, the results were not as expected due to communication problems to understand the principal's importance of incomplete laboratory improvement. The second cycle is carried out by mentoring the laboratory management. This includes the making of the laboratory management, inventory, and labeling, and creating work programs. This cycle two treatment also has not shown the results as expected. The reflection results found that the root of the problem was that the teachers and the laboratory manager believed that practicum activities needed time. So, it had to be carried out outside of class hours to require additional time, effort, and cost. To overcome this problem, in the third cycle, a workshop on making a practicum guide and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of practicum was developed according to the lesson schedule, then a trial was conducted. Data collection uses documentary, interview, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) methods to explore the root of the problem and the solution. Data processing uses a qualitative approach with steps: data collection, selection, and grouping, tabulation, description, interpretation, and conclusions. Based on the results of action research data analysis, it can be concluded: First, management improvement and inventory of laboratory tools and materials as well as making practical SOPs, which are effective in optimizing the role of science laboratories in supporting the learning process; Second, the use of SOP practicum according to the lesson schedule is quite efficient in saving time, effort, and costs. According to the results of this study, it is recommended that for the laboratory to be optimal in supporting learning, laboratory management must be orderly equipped with SOPs, and inventory of tools and materials must be good.

Abstract

Researchers have conducted research on the energy produced by 150 watt solar panels in the city of metro. This research was conducted because many solar panels have been made, but it has not yet been identified how much energy is actually produced. In addition, to find out whether the city of metro is feasible to use solar panels. The purpose of this study was to determine the energy produced by 150 watt solar panels in the city of metro. The research method used is experimental research. Researchers conducted for five days from 08.00 AM to 04.00 PM. After doing the research, it was found that the energy that could be produced in the solar panel in one day was 876,507 joule. The value of the effectiveness of solar panels in the city of metro has a value of 100% with criteria for proper use.
