Abstract

Introduction. Diarrhea is one of the leading causes of death in children. Diarrhea is a disease characterized by increasing frequency defecation of more than three times a day with a change in stool consistency to liquid. When diarrhea occurs fluid and electrolyte loss for that effort is done by providing zinc supplementation.Objective. To identify the effectiveness of zinc supplementation in overcoming diarrhea in children.Method. journal article search is done by using electronic tool with internet connection like some database, that is: Pubmed, Google Scholar. Keywords used are "Zinc", "Zinc Supplementation ", "Diarrhea", ?Children?; so get 3 journal articles from 2012 to 2017 for the review.Results. Nursing interventions in administering zinc supplementation to address diarrhea are categorized as safe and effective interventions in reducing the severity of diarrhea in children.Discussion. Increasing the frequency of defecation causes the body to lose fluids by improving the condition by providing zinc supplementation to prevent diarrhea.Conclusion: zinc supplementation is effective in diarrhea in children.

Abstract

Background. Infants with hyperbilirubin have management in lowering bilirubin levels. Management of the physiological management of jaundice is regular drinking with frequent breastfeeding and light therapy if possible. WHO guidelines for the pathological management of jaundice can be carried out by phototherapy and pharmacology. Physical stimulation therapy is a complementary therapy in the form of passive Range of Motion (ROM) movements. The aim of the study was to evaluate the level of knowledge of nurses about physical stimulation therapy in hyperbilirubinemia neonates. Methods. This study used a quasi-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. The research was conducted in May-August 2020 in virtual or online due to the Covid 19 pandemic situation. The number of respondents was 30 people. Data collection using a modified questionnaire by the researcher. The data were then processed and analyzed using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test. Results. The mean pre-test score was 77.18 and the post-test mean score was 93.74. The statistical test results showed a difference in knowledge before and after education with a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Conclusion. Nurses' level of knowledge about physical stimulation therapy increased after being given an education.

Abstract

Laporan pertama penyakit Covid-19 terjadi pada Desember 2019. Masa pandemi ini berdampak pada status gizi anak di seluruh dunia yaitu meningkatnya obesitas, kekurangan gizi, dan kelaparan. Kebijakan pemerintah untuk mengurangi penyebaran covid 19 salah satunya meniadakan tatap muka dalam proses pembelajaran Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif cross sectional. Teknik sampling menggunakan probality sampling yaitu proportionate stratified random sampling. Jumlah populasi sampel 60 anak. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner PAQ-C dan pengukuran TB dan BB untuk perhitungan IMT. Analisis data menggunakan Uji Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dan status gizi anak usia sekolah memiliki nilai yang signifikan p=0,000 (p<0,05), r=-0,781 di SD Negeri 2 Kalibagor Kecamatan Kalibagor Kabupaten Banyumas.

Abstract

Background: The postpartum period is critical in the survival of mothers and newborns. Postpartum care can be done traditionally. The culture of postpartum care is very diverse; the perception of the community itself influences the application of postpartum care culture. Aim: This study aims to determine the public perception of the culture of postpartum maternal care. Methods: This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. There were six informants in this study, the informants were mothers who had given birth. This study uses data analysis steps: data reduction, categorization, synthesis, and hypothesis. Results: This study yielded three themes (types of culture, cultural perception, and preserving culture). Several existing treatment cultures range from dietary restrictions, behavior, dress, food recommendations, dressing, and traveling. In addition, there is a culture that is not following health, and there are also negative and positive impacts of culture so that some people have the perception to preserve it. The culture of postpartum mother care in Wangkelang village is very diverse. However, some cultures are not following health science. Apart from that, there are also positive and negative impacts of culture. Culture is a legacy and a habit that is carried out continuously. Conclusion: There are many cultures of caring for postpartum mothers in Wangkelang Village, such as food restrictions, activity restrictions, dress restrictions and travel restrictions.
