Abstract

Infrastructure development plays an important role in promoting sustainable economic growth, especially in member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The purpose of this study is to understand how different types of infrastructure, such as digital, physical and non-physical infrastructure, investment, investment and human development index (HDI) impact sustainable economic growth. This study uses data from 52 OIC member countries over the period 2022-2023. To analyse the data, a statistical method called Estimated Generalized Least Squares (EGLS) is used, which is specifically designed to overcome differences in conditions between countries in the data. This method helps to obtain more accurate results despite the imbalance or variation of data between countries. The results of this study show that non-physical infrastructure and HDI have a positive and significant influence on sustainable economic growth. Non-physical infrastructure, such as institutions and basic services can help strengthen the economic system. HDI also plays an important role in improving the quality of human resources. Meanwhile, physical infrastructure, digital infrastructure and investment have not shown a significant direct effect. Therefore, it is recommended that the governments of OIC countries focus on strengthening institutions and improving diverse human qualities to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

The community service conducted a study on data management in Bulukerto, Tlekung, and Gunungsari Villages in Batu City. Local potential, especially in the agricultural sector, has not been optimally utilized due to fragmented and unintegrated data systems. The main problems include the lack of data by name by address, limited access to digital services, and weak documentation of superior potential such as apples, oranges, and cut flowers. The method used involves the development of a digital-based data integration system, with stages of identifying data needs, collecting and processing data, and training village officials. This program also includes statistical training and coaching to improve the capacity of village officials in analyzing and presenting data. The results show significant improvements in village data management. The integration system allows the preparation of a Village Investment Feasibility Index that includes dimensions of business finance, economy, investment climate, and infrastructure. This index is based on indicators such as financial literacy, access to digital services, and local consumption potential. The benefits achieved include strengthening the capacity of village officials, providing comprehensive individual-based data, and more strategic village development planning. This feasibility index is expected to be an effective guide for villages in attracting investment based on local potential and improving community welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between industry, small businesses, job creation, and welfare within an integrated analytical framework. This study uses a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis, with primary data obtained from questionnaires distributed to 80 respondents in the industrial area of Gresik Regency, East Java, Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that industry significantly influences welfare, both directly and indirectly through small business development and job creation. In this case, small businesses act as a key mediating variable influencing industry's impact on job opportunities and improved welfare. The novelty of this study lies in the development of an empirical model that simultaneously integrates the roles of industry, small business development, job creation, and welfare within a single analytical framework, using small business and job creation as mediating variables. This research contributes to the development economics literature, particularly on inclusive growth. It provides a policy perspective on the importance of effective integration between industry and small businesses as a strategy for improving public welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of foreign capital inflows on financial system stability in Indonesia, proxied by the Non-Performing Loan ratio. The variables employed include Foreign Direct Investment, portfolio investment, exchange rate, inflation, and money supply, using quarterly data for the period 2013Q2–2021Q4. The Autoregressive Distributed Lag method is utilized to examine the impact of foreign capital inflows on financial system stability in both the short run and the long run. The analytical procedures include stationarity testing, optimal lag selection, ARDL model estimation, Bounds Test for cointegration, as well as diagnostic and stability tests of the model. The results indicate the presence of cointegration; in the long run, only inflation has a significant effect on financial stability, while the other variables are insignificant. In the short run, inflation remains significant, whereas the other variables continue to show no significant effect. These findings suggest that Indonesia’s financial system stability is influenced more by domestic macroeconomic factors particularly inflation than by foreign capital inflows, highlighting the importance of inflation control in maintaining banking credit quality.
