Abstract

The Quality Management System or ISO 9001:2015 is one of the tools to improve product quality. Office administration management is one of the variables that supports the optimal operation of an organization. Basic training in the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 is one effort to introduce new insights into management systems, particularly office administration management. The training provided to students of SMK 10 November in South Jakarta has made a significant contribution. This is one of the goals that can be achieved by Mercu Buana University as a collaborative partner to support better learning processes at SMK 10 November in South Jakarta. This new knowledge is expected to provide students with additional skills to compete in the industrial world. Community service activities support the enrichment of understanding and new insights into the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 as a tool in office administration management. The training was conducted through the delivery of materials and Q&A sessions related to the content, supplemented with case studies. The outputs of the training include the enrichment of materials for the participants, who are students of SMK 10 November in South Jakarta, a training implementation video, mass media publications, and scientific publications.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to obtain a dye source which is can be degraded easily. Themajority of natural dyes extracted from plants is easily degraded dye. Plants that can be used as a coloring agent such as jackfruit wood (Artocorpusheterophyllus) taken from the morin containing a yellow dye. This study aims to find the best extraction time of morin from jackfruit sawdust using some solvent (Ethanol, Hexane and Acetone). The research was carried out in chemical laboratories in PT Sanova. From the research that has been done, found the best extraction time for 2hours with a yield of 8.36% morin.

Abstract

Electricity demand forecasting is crucial for effective energy management, particularly in regions with unique consumption patterns like Palangkaraya. This study explores the application of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) enhanced by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to improve forecasting accuracy. While traditional ANN models offer robust capabilities for handling nonlinear data, their performance is often limited by the challenge of identifying optimal model parameters. By integrating PSO, this research aims to refine parameter selection, thereby enhancing the predictive precision of the ANN model. The study compares the performance of the standalone ANN model and the ANN-PSO hybrid model. Results demonstrate that the ANN-PSO model significantly outperforms the standard ANN, achieving a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) reduction from 10.34% to 3.05%, and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) improvement from 1,061,485.57 to 366,879.94. These findings underscore the capability of the ANN-PSO approach to better capture the intricate patterns in electricity consumption data. The proposed model adapts effectively to the localized energy consumption characteristics in Palangkaraya, offering actionable insights for energy planners. By leveraging the strengths of both ANN and PSO, this research contributes to the development of more accurate and reliable forecasting tools, paving the way for optimized energy management strategies.

Abstract

The management of household organic waste can be an innovative solution to reduce waste while creating valuable products, such as fish feed for catfish. Organic waste, which has long been one of the main contributors to household waste, can be optimally utilized to provide ecological and economic benefits. This community service initiative aims to process organic waste, such as vegetable scraps, fruit peels, and food residues, into eco-friendly catfish feed. The processing begins with the collection of fresh waste, sorting, and cleaning to ensure the quality of materials free from contamination. The waste is then fermented using probiotics, such as Lactobacillus, chosen for their ability to enhance nutritional value, accelerate decomposition, and reduce unpleasant odors. Once fermentation is complete, the materials are dried, ground into powder, and formulated with additional ingredients such as rice bran, fish meal, or eggs to meet the nutritional needs of catfish. The dry pellet is proven to be not only cheaper than commercial feed but also effective in supporting optimal fish growth. Additionally, this approach provides ecological benefits by reducing the volume of organic waste ending up in landfills, thus helping to mitigate methane emissions and other negative environmental impacts. This method offers a practical, sustainable, and circular-economy-based solution for household organic waste management while supporting more eco-friendly catfish farming.ABSTRAKPengelolaan sampah organik rumah tangga dapat menjadi solusi inovatif untuk mengurangi limbah sekaligus menciptakan produk bernilai guna, seperti pakan ikan lele. Sampah organik, yang selama ini menjadi salah satu penyumbang utama limbah rumah tangga, dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal untuk memberikan manfaat ekologis dan ekonomi. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengolah limbah organik, seperti sisa sayuran, kulit buah, dan ampas makanan, menjadi pakan lele yang ramah lingkungan. Proses pengolahan diawali dengan pengumpulan limbah segar, pemilahan, dan pembersihan untuk memastikan kualitas bahan yang bebas dari kontaminasi. Limbah kemudian difermentasi menggunakan probiotik, seperti Lactobacillus, yang dipilih karena kemampuannya meningkatkan nilai gizi, mempercepat proses dekomposisi, dan mengurangi bau tidak sedap. Setelah proses fermentasi selesai, bahan dikeringkan, digiling menjadi tepung, dan diformulasikan dengan bahan tambahan seperti dedak, tepung ikan, atau telur untuk memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi ikan lele. Produk akhir berupa pelet kering ini terbukti tidak hanya lebih murah dibandingkan dengan pakan komersial juga mendukung pertumbuhan ikan secara optimal. Selain itu, pendekatan ini memberikan manfaat ekologis dengan mengurangi volume limbah organik yang berakhir di tempat pembuangan akhir (TPA). Pendekatan ini menawarkan solusi praktis, berkelanjutan, dan berbasis ekonomi sirkular dalam pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga, sekaligus mendukung budidaya ikan lele yang lebih ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis community service activity aimed to enhance the capacity of micro, small, and medium enterprise partners in the manufacturing sector through theoretical-based machine design training. This training is distinctive because, in addition to mechanics and design theory, the material also covers production management and digital marketing concepts, providing participants with a comprehensive perspective on operational processes and business strategies. The implementation method involved a series of training modules covering fundamental machine design principles using mechanics and materials, Computer-Aided Design software utilization, production management, and digital marketing. The training was conducted in Malaysia with active participation from partner participants, students, and lecturers. The activity results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants' theoretical understanding and practical skills in machine design, modern technology application, as well as production management and marketing. Initial evaluation through surveys and feedback indicated that the capacity building targets were successfully achieved. In conclusion, this activity provided a tangible contribution to improving the human resources quality of the partners, potentially enhancing their business competitiveness in the market.ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas mitra, yaitu pelaku usaha kecil dan menengah di sektor manufaktur, melalui pelatihan pembuatan desain mesin dengan pendekatan teoretis. Pelatihan ini berbeda karena tidak hanya teori mekanika dan desain, materi juga mencakup konsep manajemen produksi dan pemasaran digital, memberikan peserta perspektif menyeluruh tentang proses operasional dan strategi bisnis. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi serangkaian tahapan pelatihan desain mesin menggunakan prinsip dasar mekanika dan material, pemanfaatan perangkat lunak Computer-Aided Design, manajemen produksi, serta pemasaran digital. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di Malaysia dengan melibatkan peserta mitra, mahasiswa, dan dosen. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman teoretis dan keterampilan praktis peserta dalam desain mesin, penggunaan teknologi modern, serta manajemen produksi dan pemasaran. Evaluasi awal melalui survei dan umpan balik menunjukkan tercapainya target peningkatan kapasitas. Simpulan kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia mitra, yang berpotensi meningkatkan daya saing usaha mereka di pasar.

Abstract

Pengambilan keputusan mempunyai tantangan tersendiri baik dalam evaluasi yang melibatkan berbagai aspek maupun elemen yang berkontribusi terhadap suatu keputusan secara keseluruhan. Dalam pengambilan keputusan studi kasus pada tulisan ini menggunakan software MACBETH dimana metode yang digunakan adalah evaluasi multi kriteria. Perangkat lunak MACBETH memberikan kerangka kerja untuk membangun model evaluasi berbasis preferensi yang kompleks tidak hanya itu MACBETH juga memberikan keuntungan dalam proses pengambilan keputusan karena membantu mengatasi kompleksitas dan subjektivitas serta memfasilitasi penetapan prioritas serta memungkinkan alternatif yang sistematis dan transparan berdasarkan informasi yang konsisten. Dalam mengevaluasi alternatif untuk memilih penyedia jasa yang terbaik bagi kebutuhan perusahaan dengan menentukan kriteria penilaian yang relevan dan memberikan bobot pada setiap kriteria untuk menilai alternatif berdasarkan informasi yang diberikan dari beberapa alternatif penyedia jasa. Informasi yang diperoleh seperti kualitas layanan, fasilitas yang ditawarkan dan biaya digunakan sebagai kriteria evaluasi yang relevan sehingga dengan mengintegrasikan faktor-faktor kunci dan preferensi dengan bantuan perangkat lunak MACBETH dapat mengoptimalkan pengambilan keputusan strategis. Hasilnya dapat dilihat secara visual dengan grafik dan matriks preferensi untuk memudahkan pemahaman dan interpretasi data.
