Abstract

This paper discusses the development of utilization of zakat and waqf funds managed by the Al-Qur'an Waqf Agency (BWA) in order to help the community, especially on remote islands and remote areas during a pandemic. The purpose of this paper was to get an overview of the development of forms of utilization of zakat and waqf funds by BWA in helping the community. This paper belonged to the field of research on Islamic law and social institutions with a qualitative type of research. Data was collected through interviews and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of the study stated that BWA developed forms of utilization of zakat and waqf in the health, religious and socio-economic sectors, by creating the Against Covid-19 Strengthen Indonesia program. The old programs were still a priority, such as several waqf programs and Peer to Peer Zakat. The conclusion of this paper was that the development carried out by BWA in utilizing zakat and waqf was carried out by analyzing the current pandemic situation. They remain focused on the old program while opening humanitarian services for people affected by Covid-19 on remote and inland islands.

Abstract

Nasab is one of the most important things in Islam, as it relates to one's rights and obligations in life. With the development of increasingly modern technology, DNA (Deoxyribo Nucleic Acid) tests can now be used as a tool to scientifically determine a child's nasab. The research method used is library research with a qualitative approach. Primary data was obtained from the decision of the XXXI Nahdlatul Ulama Congress and the fatwa of Darul Ifta Egypt, while secondary data was obtained from other sources relevant to the topic of this research, such as books, journals, and articles. The results showed that Nahdlatul Ulama through its decision; can deny ilhaq al-Nasab, but not necessarily be able to determine ilhaq al-Nasab, Meanwhile, Darul Ifta Egypt in its fatwa stated that the use of DNA tests allows for the determination of the child's lineage to be accepted in Islam in certain situations where there is no other way to establish lineage with sufficient confidence. DNA testing should be used as an objective and scientific tool to confirm family relationships with prudence, in establishing lineage as a solution when it is impossible or difficult to establish lineage by traditional or conventional means. This research is expected to contribute to understanding the views of Nahdlatul Ulama and Darul Ifta Egypt regarding the determination of children's nasab through DNA testing, and can be a reference for further research related to this topic. Abstract

Statistics is a helping tool most often used, but at the same time become a center of debates in the sciences. One of the needed application of statistics is in conducting scripts and theses. Some controversions in statistics are the use or separating research results from sample trial testing, competition of the use of significance level and confidence interval, the use of p coefficient, the need for assumption testing, and the use of statistical programs. However, the author is confinced that these controversies in statistics could reflect a very dynamic development. not as an involution of those controversial aspects, even less involution of the science itself. Statistika adalah salah satu alat bantu yang paling banyak digunakan namun sekaligus menjadi sumber perdebatam dalam dunia ilmu pengetahuan. Salah satu aplikasi statistika dirasakan pada pengerjaan skripsi dan tesis. Beberapa kontroversi di bidang statsitik antara lain penggunaan atau pemisahan hasil penelitian pada sampel uji coba, kompetisi antara penggunaan taraf signifikansi dan interval kepercayaan, pengunaan koefisien p, pelu tidaknya uji asumsi, serta penggunaan program-program statistik. Bagaimanapun juga penulis meyakini bahwa segala kontroversi dalam ilmu statistika dapat lebih menunjukkan perkembangan yang sangat dinamis, bukan sebagai involusi dari aspek-aspek yang kontroversial itu, apalagi sebagai involusi dari ilmunya.
