Abstract

Abstract : The purposes of this research were to describe: (1) metacognition process in mathematical problem solving linear programming subject matter of grade XI students with high academic ability in Banyumas State Senior High School, (2) metacognition process in mathematical problem solving linear programming subject of grade XI students with medium academic ability in Banyumas State Senior High School, and (3) metacognition process in mathematical problem solving linear programming subject matter of grade XI students with low academic ability in Banyumas State Senior High School. This research was a qualitative descriptive research and the subjects were grade XI students of Banyumas State Senior High School in academic year 2014/2015.  The subjects were selected based on specific criteria by using  snowball sampling technique. Data was collected by using interview based on problem solving tasks  and validity of the data was done by using time triangulation. Data validity was used to determine the metacognition process in mathematical problem solving from each research subject in each component metacognition process. The components were arranging the  strategy or action plan, controlling or monitoring the actions, and evaluating  the action. Results showed that students with high, medium, and low academic ability realized their thinking process by identifying the information of the problem when arranged the action plan. However, there are students with low academic ability can not recall their prior knowledge previously required. They also can not make the  plan solutions are used. The plans solution are knowing the concepts that will be used and estimating the time required to complete it. Furthermore, when monitored the actions, all of subjects from high, medium, and low academic ability had tried to realize their thinking process when explained the problem solving procedures by verifying and clarifying the results of their written work and identifying the  strategies while expressing the reason of the strategies are used. The students with high and  medium academic ability developed their plan action solutions prepared in accordance with the plan. However, there are students with low academic ability  who have not been able to develop all plans prepared solution according to their plans. Furthermore, only students with high academic ability who are able to evaluate or assess the results of their written work properly despite there are some  students with low academic ability  who can do it too.Keywords: Metacognition Process, Mathematical Problem Solving, Academic Ability

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas metakognisi mahasiswa dalam pemecahan masalah program linear berdasarkan perbedaan gender. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian dua orang mahasiswa matematika UNU Purwokerto angkatan 2018 yang terdiri dari satu mahasiswa perempuan dan satu mahasiswa laki-laki yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara berbasis tugas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas metakognisi yang dialami kedua subjek penelitian meliputi metacognitive awareness, metacognitive regulation, dan metacognitive evaluation. Aktivitas metakognisi yang dilakukan baik subjek laki-laki maupun perempuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil yang hampir sama. Perbedaan yang muncul adalah ketika subjek laki-laki merasa kesulitan dan belum mampu untuk mengungkapkan pengetahuan relevan yang diketahui sebelumnya dan terkait dengan permasalahan tetapi subjek mampu memecahkan masalah yang diberikan dengan benar. Sedangkan subjek perempuan mampu mengungkapkan pengetahuan relevan yang diketahui sebelumnya dan terkait dengan permasalahan serta mampu memecahkan masalah yang diberikan dengan benar.Kata kunci: metakognisi, aktivitas metakognisi, pemecahan masalah, program linear, gender.

Abstract

The research aimed to optimize the production of crackers in order to achieve maximum profit at the UD Mekar Sari Karangklesem factory by applying the simplex method. This research used a descriptive quantitative research approach and literature study methods to support the preparation of this research. The data used is secondary data which includes the amount of each raw material needed, the purchase price of each raw material, the selling price of each type of cracker and the yield of each type of cracker produced. UD Mekar Sari is a cracker factory that produces gendar crackers, soto crackers, onion crackers and makaroni crackers. The results of this study indicate that after going through the steps of the simplex method which was improved it was found that an optimum profit of IDR 11,530,000 would be achieved by producing 200 kg of gendar crackers, 80 kg of soto crackers, 100 kg of onion crackers and 80 kg of makaroni crackers . Based on the data on the composition and supply of raw materials for the production of the four types of crackers, data analysis and processing can be carried out by formulating them into a linear program using the improved simplex method. This method is considered more efficient than the improved simplex method. The results of the sensitivity analysis that only limited changes in coefficient value at objective function (the profit each crackers) and the constants right side constraints (the capacity of supply of the raw materials) show that profit remain in optimal condition if the change of coefficient value at objective function and the constants right side constraints between the range being resulted.

Abstract

The number of new students registering at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Purwokerto from 2010 to 2023 has increased and decreased. This fluctuating pattern is a problem faced in determining strategies to attract new students to register. Large fluctuations in student numbers can cause instability in school revenues, which affects all operational aspects and will impact the school's reputation in the eyes of the community and prospective students. In this regard, it is necessary to take action, namely forecasting the number of new students registering for the 2024/2025 academic year. The aim of this research is to determine the prediction of the number of prospective new students at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Purwokerto using theDouble Exponential Smoothing Brown in the 2024/2025 academic year. From the research results, it was obtained that the number of new students in the 2024/2025 academic year was based on overall data on students who registered with the best α parameter α = 0.2 with a value ofMAD = 6,02, MSE = 68,37, andMAP= 20.23%, namely 42 students. The forecast for the number of new students registering at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Purwokerto based on overall data from the school has increased from the previous year. Value resultsMAPshows that the forecasting that has been carried out falls into the category of adequate forecasting method capabilities so that it can be used to predict the number of new students enrolling at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Purwoketo and the predicted value for the following year can be known.Keywords: predictions, forecasting, new students, Double Exponential Smoothing Brown

Abstract

Air bersih merupakan kebutuhan penting bagi kehidupan semua makhluk hidup, termasuk manusia. Namun, dengan bertambahnya jumlah penduduk dan aktivitas manusia yang semakin padat jumlah pasokan air bersih semakin terbatas, salah satunya akibat pencemaran yang disebabkan oleh aktivitas manusia. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, distribusi air yang efisien menjadi sangat penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan sistem distribusi air bersih di Desa Banteran, Kecamatan Sumbang, dengan penerapan algoritma Prim yang termasuk dalam teori graf. Algoritma Prim digunakan untuk menentukan pohon merentang minimum (Minimum Spanning Tree/MST) dalam jaringan pipa distribusi, yang bertujuan untuk mengurangi panjang pipa, biaya, dan waktu yang dibutuhkan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis kuantitatif dengan mengumpulkan data panjang dan rute pipa dari KPS PAM Tirta Wening Desa Banteran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan algoritma Prim dapat meminimalkan panjang pipa sebesar 3.870 meter, dari total panjang awal 14.890 meter menjadi 11.020 meter. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa distribusi air menjadi lebih efisien dan biaya pembangunan pipa lebih hemat, serta memberikan kontribusi bagi perbaikan sistem distribusi air bersih di Desa Banteran.
