Abstract

The development of electric vehicle (EV) technology is advancing rapidly in various aspects, driven by the need for environmentally friendly and efficient transportation solutions. Electric vehicles are powered by electric motors, which require an energy source in the form of a battery arranged into a battery pack. A battery pack consists of battery cells arranged in series and parallel to meet the energy specifications required by the electric vehicle. Currently, lithium batteries are considered the best choice for electric vehicles due to their advantages in energy density and cost per cycle compared to other types of batteries. In the design of this battery pack, the vehicle's specifications require a voltage of 144V to power the electric motor, with a target usage time of 5 hours, leading to a designed capacity of 220Ah. The battery used is a Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) type with specifications of 3.2V and 22Ah. Based on mathematical calculations, the battery pack design utilizes 10 batteries in parallel and 48 in series to achieve the required specifications. The design also takes into account the maximum storage space inside the vehicle, with the battery pack divided into two banks placed in the front and rear of the vehicle to maintain a balanced center of gravity. After assembly, voltage measurements showed that the maximum voltage achieved was 153.6V. Testing was conducted after the batteries were installed in the vehicle, which showed that the vehicle could be operated for 19 hours with an average current of 11.5A. From the test results, the battery capacity was calculated to be approximately 218.5Ah. The test results indicate that the battery performance does not fully match the theoretical calculations, due to factors such as battery characteristics and energy losses in the vehicle system.

Abstract

Nighttime illumination in Wiyata Tech Village, Kutamanah, Sukasari District, Purwakarta, has been limited due to the reliance on low-capacity lamps. To address this issue, solar panels were deployed to provide public street lighting (PSL), aiming to enhance energy autonomy and utilize renewable energy resources. The village, covering an area of 30.1 square kilometers, is part of Sukasari District, which spans 92.01 square kilometers and includes five villages. This community service project involved the installation of solar panels in Desa Kutamanah, with a participatory approach fostering local empowerment and technology adoption. A satisfaction survey conducted one month after installation revealed overwhelmingly positive feedback from residents, who noted significant improvements in lighting and community impact. The program successfully demonstrated the effectiveness of solar panels in improving street lighting, fostering energy independence, and encouraging sustainable use of renewable resources.

Abstract

5G Core (5GC) Network is a key technology in fifth-generation cellular systems. One of the significant advancements in 5GC is the shift from a monolithic to a modular architecture with open access, enabling better development of the technology. However, many existing studies still focus on non-standalone 5GC, which includes the Evolved Packet Core (EPC) in its implementation. This study aims to implement a standalone 5GC architecture, as defined by 3GPP Release 15, on a bare metal server. The implementation integrates 5GC with User Equipment (UE) and Radio Access Network (RAN). The research methodology involves installing and configuring the Free5GC source code, integrating it with the UERANSIM simulator, and evaluating its performance using metrics such as bandwidth, throughput, and round-trip time (RTT). Results show that the implemented 5GC operates successfully and effectively supports data connectivity. The performance tests recorded an average bandwidth of 3.5 Gbps, a download throughput of 21.04 Mbps, an upload throughput of 19.125 Mbps, and an average RTT of 21.229 ms. This study contributes significantly to the advancement of open, flexible, and reliable 5G networks, particularly in enhancing data connectivity performance.

Abstract

The rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT) has driven the emergence of smart home innovations that not only provide convenience but also contribute to energy efficiency and resource conservation. This study aims to develop an IoT-based smart home prototype using the ESP8266-12e module to control lights and solenoid valves that function as water faucets. The system operates in two modes: automatic mode, utilizing light-dependent resistors (LDRs) and ultrasonic sensors, and manual mode through a web-based control interface. The method in this study uses an experimental method consisting of a literature review, hardware and software design, implementation, and testing. The results show that the system functions reliably and remains stable within a Wi-Fi connection range of up to 21 meters. Furthermore, this prototype shows potential as a project-based learning medium in science and technology education, particularly in the context of sustainability education. By integrating the concepts of electricity and water conservation, this study contributes to increasing scientific literacy while supporting sustainable household practices.

Abstract

This community service initiative was designed to enhance the production efficiency and marketing capacity of simping products developed by the Women Farmers Group (Kelompok Wanita Tani, KWT) Bunga Tanjung in Tanjungsari Village, Purwakarta. The program employed a participatory action research approach. The main intervention involved the introduction of a modern simping press machine featuring an ergonomic design and a dual-heating system, which allows for faster, more efficient production with consistent baking quality. Additionally, the team developed a comprehensive handbook that includes operational guidelines for the machine, formulations for new flavor variants, and digital marketing strategies. The results demonstrated that the implementation of this technology significantly improved both the productivity and quality of simping while reducing the physical workload of the participating members. The strong enthusiasm and positive responses from KWT members indicate that this appropriate technology effectively addressed their needs. Overall, the program contributes to strengthening the village-based creative economy through local culinary innovation and advancing women’s empowerment within micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
