Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to introduce the Python programming language to teachers and students of vocational school in Purwakarta exploiting an application to create a simple graphical user interface (GUI). Python is a programming language that is currently trending. The training was carried out in 3 stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. As a result, participants were able to follow this training well and were able to create their own version of a simple GUI. Participants were also able to integrate their GUI with Arduino. After this activity, participants are expected to be able to explore how to make simple GUI using the modules that have been given.

Abstract

Abstract—In all parts of the work division at Diskominfo, West Java Province, many information systems have been involved to support a series of work activities and information asset processing. As in one part of the division, namely the Employee and Public Relations Subdivision, where all staffing activities are not far from processing employee data. But the existing Employee Information System, especially in the employee attendance data processing feature, is still not well organized and not equipped with features that are more supportive for recording the attendance data. Some features that are not perfect, for example, are the daily attendance data feature, employee leaves data, and daily late and weekly late. In addition, further processing of data also still uses the help of Microsoft Excel or manually entering data and recapitulating data, so the processing takes a long time and is not efficient in the process. Given these problems, the authors designed a system design and implemented it into a new Employee Attendance Application. The purpose of designing this application is to create an information system that further optimizes the process of processing employee attendance data at West Java Diskominfo using system development technologies such as the Laravel Framework, PostgreSQL for database management, and using the Rest API for data integration.

Abstract

Bibliometric analysis research has been done for vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT). This study aims to determine the growth of VAWT research, the number of VAWT studies in various countries and the most influential authors to find opportunities for research collaboration, and the challenges of future VAWT research. Research data was taken from Scopus in 1801 articles from 1970-2021. The software used for data interpretation was VosViewer 1.6.19 and Tableau Public 2022.2. Based on the analysis, VAWT research has tended to increase from 1970-2021, although there was a decrease from 1987-2006. The country that has conducted the most VAWT research is China, while the author with the highest number of citations is from Italy. The most dominant research topic related to VAWT research is computational fluid dynamics (CFD), which is 50.14 % of the total. A future challenge related to VAWT research is finding a suitable turbulence model for each type of VAWT or finding an airfoil optimization method so that a model with betterperformance is obtained. Opportunities for research collaboration can be carried out with China or an author with the highest number of citations who has expertise in the field of CFD.

Abstract

Cyber-crime is becoming more massive as online activities increase. Cybercrime is a criminal act that exploits digital technology to damage, harm, and destroy property. Therefore, it is crucial for internet users to have knowledge of cybersecurity and the world of technology and the internet in order to avoid falling victim to cybercrime. The aim of this study is to develop a chatbot system as a centralized information medium on cybersecurity, technology, and the internet for internet users. The development of this chatbot aims to reduce the risks of cybercrimes and help enhance internet users' awareness of cybercrime. This research employs the AI Project Cycle method in chatbot development and utilizes the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) deep learning model algorithm to develop a model that achieves high accuracy. The training results of the LSTM model achieved an accuracy score of 100% and a loss of 3.09% with 400 epochs. Consequently, it can be concluded that the LSTM algorithm is highly effective for training and developing a chatbot model.

Abstract

The use of cloud computing technology is currently increasingly widespread. The purpose of this community service is to introduce vocational high school students and teachers to cloud computing and implement it to solve computational problems. Participants are introduced to cloud architecture, the advantages of using cloud, various cloud service providers, and different categories of products that the cloud service providers deliver. During the training, participants are provided with the case studies on the use of three products available on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), i.e., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Vision API. As a result, participants are able to create virtual machines using Compute Engine, publish static web pages using Cloud Storage, and create an application to detect the name and location of a landmark from an image using Cloud Vision API. After this activity, participants are expected to be able to explore other cloud products available and use them to create their own projects.

Abstract

Chemistry is a crucial subject since it covers the structure and makeup of the world around us. However, chemistry is frequently cited as a subject that students dislike. Most secondary school pupils believe that chemistry is difficult, uninteresting, and unimportant. Therefore, an improvement in learning technic is needed. An application called KIMI.AR was created in this research. KIMI.AR is a learning media in the form of a mobile-based augmented reality application regarding elements and the formation of chemical reactions that are expected to solve high school students' problems in the chemistry learning process. What makes the KIMI.AR application better than other chemistry learning applications is the focus on the displayed material according to the user's level and displaying descriptions in addition to 3D visualization that students can access through their respective Android devices. So, through the KIMI.AR application, learning chemistry becomes easier and more interesting.

Abstract

Dokumen ekspor menjadi salah satu bagian penting dalam keperluan proses ekspor barang. Hampir setiap perusahaan industri manufaktur yang aktif menjalankan operasi di sektor perdagangan internasional terlibat dalam kegiatan ekspor dengan alur yang kompleks termasuk dalam mengelola dokumen-dokumen ekspor tersebut. PT. XY merupakan salah satu perusahaan industri manufaktur di Indonesia yang memiliki Departemen Ekspor sebagai penanggung jawab dalam mengurus keperluan ekspor barang yang mereka produksi untuk dikirim ke luar negeri. Selain mengelola berbagai regulasi dan persyaratan ekspor barang, Departemen Ekspor PT.XY juga harus memastikan bahwa keperluan pendukung lainnya seperti dokumen-dokumen yang diperlukan telah lengkap. Untuk memenuhi hal tersebut, Pegawai Departemen Ekspor PT.XY melakukan pengecekan ketersediaan dokumen secara manual yang dirasa tidak efektif untuk dilakukan setiap hari karena meningkatnya volume dokumen yang akan terus bertambah setiap hari, akibatnya pengecekan memakan waktu yang cukup lama dan berkemungkinan besar dapat terjadi kesalahan pemeriksaan data.  Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut, maka Penulis melakukan analisis, membuat perancangan dan mengimplementasikannya menjadi sebuah Aplikasi Pengecekan Dokumen Ekspor berbasis VBA dan Macro Excel. Tujuan pembuatan aplikasi ini adalah untuk memudahkan Pegawai Departemen Ekspor PT. XY ketika memeriksa kelengkapan dokumen-dokumen ekspor tersebut. Aplikasi ini dapat diintegrasikan dengan private FTP server Departemen Ekspor sehingga menghasilkan sumber data yang valid dan relevan sesuai current condition. Aplikasi dibuat menggunakan metode pengembangan sistem Iterative and Incremental dengan pendekatan arsitektur Model-View-Controller (MVC) untuk memecah komponen aplikasi menjadi bagian-bagian yang dapat dikelola dengan lebih mudah.

Abstract

Di era digital sekarang teknologi sangat berperan aktif dalam hampir semua kegiatan manusia. Termasuk kegiatan bisnis, sekarang seorang pengusaha dituntut untuk bisa memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mempertahankan bisnisnya. Salah satu tipe usaha yang paling membutuhkan perubahan digitalisasi adalah UMKM (Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah). Karena masih banyak UMKM tidak bisa beralih ke digitalisasi, salah satu cara untuk membantu meningkatkan perubahan UMKM ke dunia digital adalah dengan mendorong pelaku UMKM untuk mengikuti pelatihan bisnis atau kelas bisnis agar mereka mendapatkan pengetahuan untuk mengembangkan bisnisnya ke arah dunia digital. Maka dari itu dirancanglah antarmuka aplikasi edukasi bisnis Entrevo untuk memahami lebih baik permasalahan dan kebutuhan pengguna. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode design thinking dan Single Ease Question (SEQ) didapatkan hasil akhir yaitu 9 (dari 10 poin) yang menunjukkan bahwa desain aplikasi sudah baik dan user-friendly.

Abstract

Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, penggunaan aplikasi WhatsApp semakin meningkat. Namun, dalam penggunaannya masih terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang dialami oleh pengguna, terutama pada fitur obrolan. Fitur obrolan merupakan fitur utama pada aplikasi WhatsApp, dimana pada fitur tersebut penggunanya dapat berkomunikasi dengan orang lain, baik personal maupun grup. Di dalam fitur ini, obrolan grup dengan obrolan personal menyatu di dalam tab yang sama. Hal ini memunculkan beberapa masalah seperti pengguna sering ketinggalan informasi dari grup karena obrolannya tertimbun oleh obrolan pribadi, ada beberapa pengguna yang seringkali salah mengirim pesan ke grup yang seharusnya dikirim ke obrolan pribadinya dikarenakan bercampurnya antara chat pribadi dengan grup dan kesulitan dalam mencari grup. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan improvement untuk fitur obrolan dimana seharusnya chat pribadi dengan grup itu terpisah untuk meminimalisir permasalahan tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang user interface pada fitur obrolan sebagai solusi terhadap permasalahan yang ditemukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian Design Thinking. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah berupa desain user interface fitur obrolan yang telah diuji coba oleh pengguna. Evaluasi desain yang dilakukan menggunakan teknik System Usability Scale dengan perolehan skor sebesar 85. Skor tersebut masuk ke dalam kategori EXCELLENT dengan grade scale B yang artinya desain prototype yang telah dibuat dapat diterima baik oleh pengguna dan layak untuk digunakan. Dengan demikian, berdasarkan hasil evaluasi desain prototype yang menjadi ide solusi yang ditawarkan tersebut dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dialami pengguna.

Abstract

Kutamanah village, located in Sukasari Sub-district, Purwakarta District, faces limited electricity networks in strategic locations such as connecting roads between settlements, which impacts residents' safety and activities, especially at night. To overcome this problem, a program to utilize the potential of wind energy with a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) as a source of electrical energy for Public Street Lighting (PJU) was carried out. This activity was carried out through several stages, namely surveying the location of VAWT and PJU placement points, assembling VAWT and PJU, training and mentoring in implementation as appropriate technology that local residents can utilize. The system is designed to produce stable electrical power by utilizing the average wind speed that suits local conditions, which is 8.3 m/s. The implementation results show that this system is able to produce a peak voltage of 17.48 V and a current of 3.2 A so that the power generated reaches 54.4 W, the power is sufficient to support the operation of Public Street Lights with 50 W 12 V power specifications. This program contributes to improving community safety and mobility while supporting the use of sustainable renewable energy at the village level.
