To produce quality outcomes, it is necessary to improve the learning process. One of the efforts to improve the learning process is by using the method of learning in accordance with the Competency Based Curriculum that is cooperative learning method, one of these methods that can be applied is cooperative learning method jigsaw. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of jigsaw cooperative learning methods on motivation and student learning outcomes in Diploma Program Nursing of STIKes Kepanjen. This research method using quantitative method with quasi experimental design with pre-test-post-test, statistical test used is paired sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that the provision of learning methods using cooperative type Jigsaw can affect student motivation and learning outcomes

Abstract

Nursing students in the learning process will get in the classical learning and clinical practice. In switching between classical learning into clinical practice it needs for preparations and competency test before entering the practice field. One method of developing competency test in nursing is the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination). The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the OSCE method on the readiness for practice in the S1 study program of STIKes Kepanjen. This research uses quantitative methods with the quasi experimental design and pretest posttest design with control group approach. The competency of the intervention group is assessed by using OSCE method and the control group by using conventional methods. This study compares the students’ readiness and student’s learning motivation on the pretest and on the posttest after respondents do the clinical practice. The data obtained were analyzed using t test with significance of ρ <0.05. This study has shown that the average value of readiness of respondents who are tested by using the OSCE method is 61.69 with the significance of 0.00, while respondents who were tested with the conventional method have the average value of 56.8 with a significance of 0.148. The mean posttest of the intervention and control group differed significantly with p value 0.000. The conclusionn in this study found that there is an increase in the readiness for practice in S1 study program of STIKes Kepanjen in which the one who are tested by using the OSCE method is higher than non OSCE method.

Abstract

Abstract

Burns can occur due to negligence in everyday life or an accident both at home, industry and even due to mass accidents. With so many people still making mistakes or don't know how to do first aid right. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of health education using simulation methods with booklet media on the ability of students to provide first aid to burn victims at Al-Lathifah Islamic Boarding School. This type of research uses experimental research designs with one group pretest-posttest design approach. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with a sample of 35 respondents. The research instrument used observation sheets which were then analyzed by the Wilcoxon test. From the research results, the mean at pre-test is 1.63 and after the post-test is increased, the mean is 13.66. Based on the Wilcoxon test, a significant P-value of <0.001 is obtained, which can be interpreted as influencing before and after health education is given. With the majority of respondents who were teenagers, health education using simulation methods with a media booklet for 60 minutes was able to influence the level of ability in first aid burns. Giving first aid skills to the right burn victims in the Islamic boarding school environment is very much needed, to prevent defects in the integrity of the skin due to burns.

Abstract

This study examines the application of forensic psychology in the assessment process for proving narcotic crimes in Indonesia, focusing on its contribution to justice and the accuracy of legal decisions. Forensic psychology, as a discipline integrating psychological principles into the criminal justice system, plays a crucial role in analyzing the psychological condition of perpetrators, including their motives, mental capacity, and level of narcotic dependency. This approach employs techniques such as clinical interviews, behavioral observations, and psychometric tests like MMPI and WAIS to produce reports that support courtroom evidence. The study adopts a normative juridical method with statutory, case, and conceptual approaches, referring to Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics and related regulations. Findings indicate that forensic psychology enhances the objectivity of legal decisions by providing insights into psychological factors influencing perpetrators’ behavior, such as addiction or mental disorders, thus supporting restorative justice approaches. Additionally, forensic psychological assessments assist judges in distinguishing between perpetrators acting with full awareness and those influenced by external pressures, such as coercion or exploitation, commonly seen in drug courier cases.

Abstract

Typhus is an acute fever caused by Salmonella typhi bacterial infection. This research aims to test the efficacy of BSF maggot extract as an antibacterial against Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi. The stages in this research are the preparation of maggot samples, determination of water content of samples, extraction of maggot BSF, screening of antibacterial activity of maggot BSF against Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi, fractionation from the best results of antibacterial activity of maggot extract BSF and the test of antibacterial activity of maggot BSF fraction against Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi, fractionation of the best results of antibacterial activity of maggot extract BSF and the test of antibacterial activity of maggot BSF fraction against Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi. Extraction was carried out by a multi-level maceration method using acetone, methanol and water solvents, then the extract was tested for antibacterial activity against Salmonella typhi using the disc diffusion method with the best results, acetone extract with an inhibition zone of 8.13 mm ± 0.153. Then, acetone extract was fractionated according to its polarity, namely n-hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, and water. The results of the fractionation were tested for antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi using the disc method with the best fraction was the n-hexane fraction, at a concentration of 2500 ppm with inhibition zones 8.37 mm ± 0.32 (Escherichia coli) and 9.00 mm ± 0.00 (Salmonella typhi)
