Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted various economic sectors, one of which is the sale of purebred chicken eggs. This study aims to determine the impact of selling broiler eggs in Konda District, South Konawe Regency, during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted in March – November 2021. The population in this study was six chicken egg traders consisting of retailers and wholesalers. Using the census method, six people were obtained as research samples. The variables in this study are the respondent’s identity and sales of broiler eggs. The analysis used in this research is analyzed descriptively. This analysis compares deals of broiler eggs before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results showed that the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic caused a 23% decrease in the number of sales of broiler eggs at retail traders. Meanwhile, there is no decrease in sales of broiler eggs at wholesalers.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of price increase for commodity group, commodity sub-group and commodity on inflation in Kendri city. Data used were of monthly time series data Bank Indonesia and Central Board of Statistic, covering January 2002-August 2011. The analysis was undertaken using multiple regression. The research results showed that the group of processed food, beverages, and tobacco product gave more effect on inflation compare to the group of foodstuff. The increasing of 1% of the group of processed food, beverages, and tobacco product would effect to inflation by 0,69%, and the group of foodstuff effect on inflation by 0,34%. In the group of foodstuff, the sub-group of fresh fish gave the most effect on inflation. The increasing of sub-group of fresh fish gave the effect to inflation by 0,30%, meanwhile, the most little effect to inflation was contributed by processed fish (0,02%). The increasing of rice price to inflation was not great, where 1% of rice price increased inflation by 0,08%.

Abstract

This research based on by the pepper plants that became one of the good commodities in Southeast Sulawesi, South Konawe regencies in Southeast Sulawesi. South Konawe is one of the regencies in Southeast Sulawesi which cultivate the plants of pepper, pepper plant needs a financial capital. There are two sources of financial capital in planting the pepper, first the financial capital private and secondly the loan capital, loan capital comes from a wholesaler and from financial institutions (banks). The purpose of the study to analyze the difference of income before and after receiving Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) in the village of Ulusena sub-district of Southeast Konawe. The decision of choosing the location of research is considered by the community of farmers which planting pepper is their main livelihood and take Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) from BRI. The number of respondents is 37 farmers pepper. The data analysis use analysis of income, and the t-test (paired simple past test). The research results showed that the income of farming pepper before receive KUR is amounting to Rp 1,257,394,000 and the income of farming after KUR Rp 1,780,746,000. The t-test analysis results (paired test) showed that there is significant revenue which differences between farming pepper before and after receiving a Kredit Usaha (KUR).

Abstract

ABSTRAKTelur ayam ras diproduksi dari ayam ras petelur yang diternakkan dalam jumlah besar dengan cara budidaya dan pemberian pakan yang modern dan teratur dengan produktivitas telur yang tinggi. Produksi telur ayam ras tertinggi di Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara adalah Kabupaten Konawe Selatan yaitu sebanyak 1.933.546 kg dengan laju petumbuhan produksi sebesar 23% dalam kurung waktu dua tahun terakhir sehingga perlu ditunjang dengan rantai pasok yang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui aliran produk, aliran informasi, dan aliran keuangan pada rantai pasok telur ayam ras. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan sengaja sengaja (purposive) yaknidi Desa Sindang Kasih Kecamatan Ranomeeto Barat Kabupaten Konawe Selatan. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rantai pasok telur ayam ras terdapat tiga rantai, yaitu rantai pasok 1 yang terdiri atas pemasok, peternak, konsumen akhir; rantai pasok 2 meliputi pemasok, peternak, pedagang pengecer, konsumen akhir, dan rantai pasok 3 yang terdiri atas pemasok, peternak, pedagang pengumpul, pedagang pengecer dan konsumen akhir. Aliran rantai pasok yang terbentuk adalah aliran produk, aliran informasi, dan aliran keuangan, dimana pada ketiga rantai pasok telah terintegrasi yang ditunjukkan oleh permintaan telur dapat dipenuhi dan telah terjalin kesepakatan pelaku rantai pasok, termasuk ketepatan waktu penyediaan telur ayam ras.Kata kunci: aliran informasi, aliran keuangan, aliran produk, rantai pasok, telur ayam rasLaying Eggs Supply Chain AnalysisABSTRACKEggs are produced from laying hens, raised in large numbers using modern and regular cultivation and feeding methods with high egg productivity. The most productive of laying eggs in Southeast Sulawesi Province is Konawe Selatan Regency, which is 1,933,546 kg with a production growth rate of 23% in the last two years, so it needs to be supported by an appropriate supply chain. This study aimed to determine the product, information, and financial flows of the laying eggs supply. The research location was chosen purposively, namely in Sindang Kasih Village, West Ranomeeto District, South Konawe Regency. The analysis used a qualitative descriptive manner. The results showed that the supply of laying eggs consisted of three chains, namely supply chain 1 (suppliers, breeders, and final consumers); supply chain 2 (suppliers, breeders, retailers, end consumers), and supply chain 3 (suppliers, breeders, collectors, retailers, and final consumers). The supply chain flows are the product, information, and financial flows, wherein the three supply chains have been integrated, which is indicated by the demand for eggs that can be met and an agreement by supply chain actors has been established, including the timeliness of the arrival of laying eggs.Keywords: information flow, financial flow, product flow, supply chain, laying eggs

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the demand for chicken eggs during the Covid-19 pandemic in Konda District, South Konawe Regency. Respondents in this study were 100 people who consumed purebred chicken eggs. The analytical method in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis in the form of natural logarithms. The results showed that the factors that influenced the demand for chicken eggs during the Covid-19 pandemic were the price of purebred chicken eggs, the price of fish, the average income of consumers, and the number of family members a significant effect on the demand for purebred chicken eggs. A 1% increase in the price of laying eggs will reduce the demand for laying eggs by 3.568%, a 1% increase in the price of fish will increase the demand for laying eggs by 2.604%.Keywords:  demand; covid-19 pandemic; chicken eggs

Abstract

Business competition is one of the main threats faced by swiftlet nest entrepreneurs, necessitating the implementation of appropriate strategies to enhance competitiveness. This study aims to design strategies for the development of swiftlet nest businesses. Qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis methods were employed to describe the internal and external conditions of the swiftlet nest business, while SWOT analysis was used to formulate alternative strategies for its development. The results of the study indicate that the strategies that can be implemented by swiftlet nest entrepreneurs align with a strength-opportunity approach, involving the following steps: (1) Utilizing modern technology to advance and develop the business both offline and online, thereby creating effective marketing channels; (2) Selecting strategic business locations to ensure the comfort and habitation of swiftlets, resulting in higher-quality and more beneficial nests; and (3) Optimizing the use of capital, which plays a critical role in maintaining the financial stability of swiftlet nest entrepreneurs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know in general the description of curly red chili price fluctuations in Kendari city and to find out the development of curly red chili prices in Kendari city in 2022. This research uses a descriptive analysis technique that is used to determine production developments, as well as review the price of red chili curls in the city of Kendari. The research uses price data sources at the consumer level in 2022 from markets in the city of Kendari which are obtained through official government websites, including the BPS (central statistical agency) Kendari city. The results of this study show the large fluctuations in the price of curly red chilies in the city of Kendari in 2022 with the tendency for the highest curly red chili prices to be in July of 59,441 compared to November of 34,598. The factors that influence price fluctuations of curly red chilies are the weather which causes curly red chilies to only be planted for one season, rainy weather also hampers the distribution of curly red chilies resulting in an increase in the price of curly red chilies and that makes the price of curly red chilies in one region to another not the same. In addition, the process of planting curly red chilies is less than optimal, causing decreased productivity

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the value added generated from the processing of cashew nuts in Watulea Village, Gu District, Central Buton Regency, as well as to analyze the costs, revenue, and profits associated with the processing. This research is a case study. Respondents in this study are business owners, employees, and consumers of the cashew nut processing business. Data collection techniques were done through observation, interviews, and documentation. There are two types of data used in this study: qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. The data analysis methods used are qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative method is conducted through descriptive analysis to understand the processing of fried cashew nuts. The quantitative method is conducted through financial analysis to determine the level of costs and value added in the processing of fried cashew nuts. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the Household Industry in the cashew nut business in Watulea Village, Gu District, Central Buton Regency, generates an average daily revenue of Rp 3,900,000 with a total daily cost of Rp 2,975,967, resulting in an average daily profit of Rp 924,033. Furthermore, the value added generated from the Household Industry Production of cashew nuts is Rp 4,750 with a ratio of 25.333%, indicating a high value added from the processing of cashew nuts

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pattern of partnership, benefits and commitments between Simbo Hydroponic Business and CV. Family Garden Mart. The method used is a case study with a qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach. Data were obtained through interviews and questionnaire dissemination using the Likert scale. The withdrawal of informants was carried out purposively on both parties who have established partnerships since 2019. Data analysis uses reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing for the qualitative aspect, as well as the assessment of average scores for the quantitative aspect. The results of the study show that the partnership pattern applied is a contractual partnership, because the distributor does not provide capital, all costs are borne by the farmer himself, while the company acts as an offtaker that absorbs the crop consistently. From the results of the quantitative analysis, the benefits of partnerships according to Simbo Hydroponic Business are in the very good category (score 4.66), including market certainty, table prices and increased revenue. Meanwhile, according to CV. Family Garden Mart in the good category (score 4.6) partnership provides a guarantee of quality vegeTabel supply, supply continuity, and strengthening of market position. The partnership commitment was rated 4.8 very well by farmers, reflected in the discipline in delivery and product quality while CV. Family Garden Mart of 4.5 shows commitment through regular purchasing schedules, on-time payments, and open communication.
