Abstract

The banking sector has a very large role in improving the country's economy. Public trust in banking is also getting higher along with the number of BPRs that are mushrooming and the level of competition is also getting more competitive. Therefore, every person's credit institution must also be able to demonstrate its existence with a bank's financial soundness level that can be trusted by the wider community. Realizing this, this study aims to determine the level of credit risk and liquidity risk by looking at the value of Non-Performing Loans and the value of the Loan to Deposit Ratio. The results of financial analysis carried out further calculations to determine the effect of credit risk and liquidity risk variables both partially and simultaneously at the level of BPR profitability in Kupang City. The method of determining the sample used purposive sampling so that the samples in this study were six BPRs. In an effort to answer the research objectives, the analytical tools used are financial analysis and also multiple linear regression analysis. The independent variables in this study are credit risk which is proxied by Non Performing Loans (NPL) and liquidity risk which is proxied by Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), as well as the dependent variable which is the Bank's financial performance which is estimated by Return on Assets (ROA). The results showed that partially the Non Performing Loan (NPL) and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) variables had a positive but not significant effect on Return On Assets (ROA).

This study examines the impact of financial literacy, technological innovation, government support, and subjective norms on the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the North Central Timor District (TTU)-Timor Leste Border Market. Furthermore, it seeks to identify appropriate strategies for enhancing MSME performance in this region. The researchers employed a purposive sampling technique based on the Slovin formula, selecting 80 respondents as research samples. The findings indicated that technological innovation, government support, and subjective norms significantly affect MSME performance in the TTU-Timor Leste Border Market. To improve the performance of MSMEs, various strategies can be implemented. These encompass the enhancement of financial literacy through training and mentoring programs, adopting e-commerce within the digital economy, and improving human resource quality and product standards. Other strategies include fostering partnerships among institutions, cultivating an investment-friendly bureaucracy, implementing product labeling, establishing legal business associations, and promoting motivation and self-confidence.

Abstract

This research aims to assess the financial performance of a region using the indicators of financial independence, financial dependence, and fiscal decentralization, and analyze their impact on the poverty rate in North Central Timor Regency. Time series data from 2001 to 2020 were utilized for the analysis, employing descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that the financial performance of the region remains low, signaling a reliance on external sources of income. Financial independence, financial dependence, and fiscal decentralization, both individually and collectively, exhibit a significant negative influence on the poverty rate in the area. This research underscores the importance of improving regional financial performance as a primary strategy to address poverty in North Central Timor Regency. Collaboration between the regional government and the central government is encouraged to enhance financial independence, reduce dependence, and ultimately, improve the well-being of the local population.

Abstract

Good and correct regional financial management will greatly affect the presentation of the financial statements and opinions of BPK RI. Therefore the goal to be achieved in this study is to determine the regional financial performance of the Lembata Regency government based on the opinion of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) using an analysis of effectiveness ratios, independence ratios, fiscal decentralization ratios, expenditure management ratios , harmony ratios, and growth ratios. . based on timely reporting of financial reports. The type of data used is secondary data from BPK audit reports and financial reports of the Lembata district government for the 2017 to 2021 fiscal year. The results of this study indicate that the financial performance of the Lembata district government in general is still very poor. This is indicated by the high level of fiscal decentralization, the ratio of regional financial independence which is still very low, and the operational expenditure ratio which still dominates the capital expenditure ratio so that it has real implications for the minus value of regional financial performance. growth ratio in the analysis period.

Abstract

East Nusa Tenggara Province is one of the provinces in Indonesia in the form of an archipelago and geographically borders directly with the State of Timor Leste. This province has a problem with a fairly high poverty rate, in fact it was recorded as the 3rd highest in Indonesia after the provinces of Papua and West Papua. Because it is an archipelagic province, the problems of disparity in regional development, income inequality and poverty cannot be avoided. The existence of this disparity symptom does not only lie in regional development, but this disparity occurs in the income and GDP-forming sectors. Therefore the main goal to be achieved in this research is to identify areas in NTT Province which are still classified as lagging behind, and how to find the economic base sector as a leading sector so that it can be used as a locomotive for regional development so that in turn it is able to reduce regional inequality, income distribution and poverty. The analytical tools used are Theil Entrophy Analysis, Klasen Typology, Location Quintient (LQ) Analysis and Dynamic Location Quintien (DLQ) Analysis. The data needed is secondary data in the form of published documents from the BPS Province of NTT from 2012-2018 for the purposes of analysis such as GRDP data, population and per capita income for each district in the province of NTT. The results of the analysis found that there were 3 regencies that were classified as developed and fast growing, 3 regencies which were categorized as developed but depressed areas.

Abstract

Purpose: This research explores the challenges and opportunities of integrating a gender perspective into tourism development in the border regions of East Nusa Tenggara (ENT) and Timor Leste. Research Methodology: Using a qualitative approach, this study collected data through literature reviews and stakeholder interviews. Results: The analysis revealed that women face various obstacles to tourism sector development, such as limited access to capital, unequal job opportunities, and societal gender stereotypes. Despite these challenges, there are significant opportunities for women to enhance their participation in the tourism industry, potentially leading to increased wellbeing. Limitations: This study acknowledges limitations, including the scope of qualitative research and the challenges in generalizing findings to broader contexts beyond ENT and Timor Leste. Contributions: Based on these findings, this research proposes tourism development strategies focusing on inclusive gender vocational training programs; enhanced collaboration among government, private sector, and educational institutions; and promoting women's leadership and decision-making roles in tourism management. Novelty: This study highlights the potential for more inclusive tourism development in the ENT-Timor Leste border region, with the aim of providing economic benefits to local communities.

Abstract

The budget planning and implementation process in North Central Timor Regency (TTU) is faced with significant challenges due to the high level of inconsistency in the budgeting system at each stage. This research aims to explore the relationship between several variables in the North Central Timor Regency. Third, audit the impact of Human Resources capacity (X1) on Budgeting Consistency (Y2). Fourth, the impact of planning quality (X2) on Budgeting Consistency (Y2) is analyzed. Fifth, the influence of Human Resource capacity (X1) on Budgeting Consistency (Y2) which is mediated by the Good Governance variable (Y1) is explored. And sixth, we studied the influence of planning quality (X2) on Budgeting Consistency (Y2) with the mediation variable Good Governance (Y1). The research uses quantitative Path Analysis. Samples were taken using a purposive random sampling method, with the criteria being employees in the financial administration field at each regional organization. The research results show that in the first structural equation, HR capacity and planning quality have a direct effect on Good Governance. In the second structural equation, HR capacity, planning quality, and Good Governance influence Budgeting Consistency. However, HR capacity and planning quality cannot be mediated by Good Governance on Budgeting Consistency.
