Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendapatan petani kelapa yang memanfaatkan dan mengolah sabut kelapa di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. Penentuan daerah penelitian dan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan Snowball Sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 25 responden, terdiri dari 18 petani kelapa pengolah sabut kasar dan 7 petani kelapa pengolah sabut halus. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari wawancara langsung dengan responden, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari instansi seperti Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Riau, Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir dan Bappedalitbang Provinsi Riau. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan uji beda dan uji beda rata-rata (Independent Sample T-test). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat keuntungan bagi petani kelapa berupa peningkatan pendapatan dari pengolahan sabut dan terdapat perbedaan pendapatan antara petani kelapa yang menjual sabut kasar dengan petani kelapa yang mengolah sabut halus dimana pendapatan petani sabut kasar lebih rendah dibandingkan petani sabut halus yang semakin meningkat.

Abstract

UNRI's Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, which accommodates the field of fisheries from upstream to downstream, seeks to solve the problem of unemployment on campus, especially in the fisheries sector. Through a community service program on entrepreneurship schemes involving lecturers who collaborate with the UNRI Business Incubator Center, we carried out training activities on culinary development based on processed fish with a total of 15 participants, namely FPC students processing fishery products. This training aims to provide entrepreneurial knowledge, encourage the growth of entrepreneurial motivation, and increase understanding of management (organization, production, finance, and marketing) with implementation methods referring to the Participatory Action Learning System(PALS). The implementation of this training activity received a positive response, as did the participants' desire to become entrepreneurs. This training also motivates participants to work as entrepreneurs and opens up job opportunities to collaborate with other small and medium enterprises. The culinary products produced are serondeng catfish and catfish floss. These products have the potential to become a business opportunity for new entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Sago bark waste (uyung) is abundant in Sungai Tohor Village, Kepulauan Meranti Regency, but has not been optimally utilized, causing environmental problems. Research conducted by the Environmental Engineering Study Program, Universitas Riau, has developed charcoal briquettes from sago bark, which are then implemented in the community to provide real impacts on improving quality of life and supporting the impactful campus program. This community service aims to assist local communities and businesses in improving the quality of sago bark charcoal briquettes to meet export standards and support village energy transition. The methods included counseling, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), technical training on briquette production, quality testing, and business management strengthening. The FGD held in Selat Panjang (September 18–21, 2025) involved 20 participants from strategic partners including the Meranti Regency Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Housing and Environment, Sago Center, Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), and export practitioners from Ecotohor Solution. The results showed increased community understanding of export briquette standards with characteristics such as high calorific value, low moisture content, good density, and stable combustion. This technology implementation strengthens the potential of sago bark charcoal briquettes as a village flagship product for the global market while promoting energy transition and sustainable economy.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the internal and external conditions of the honey home industry in Pangkalan Kerinci with the aim of improving its competitiveness. The data collection method used is a census involving 11 respondents who are honey home industry owners. The data used includes primary and secondary data. In analyzing the data, the Porter's Diamond Model and SWOT Analysis methods were used. The results of the analysis using Porter's Diamond Model in the SWOT framework show that the honey home industry in Pangkalan Kerinci is in quadrant 1 (Aggressive strategy). The results of the SWOT diagram also indicate that the honey home industry in Pangkalan Kerinci has a strategy to improve its competitiveness in the internal and external environment. This aggressive strategy focuses more on Strength-Opportunities, by optimizing the strengths possessed to take advantage of existing opportunities.
