people. Drug users no longer see age, even those aged 10 years to the elderly consume a lot of drugs, the types used are methamphetamine, marijuana, glue, amethyst, and drugs. The factors that cause drug users are the first social environmental factors such as curiosity motives, opportunities due to parents busy with their respective activities and lack of affection or as a result of broken homes, facilities and infrastructure, the second is personality such as low self-esteem, feelings of inferiority in society and the environment, the third is emotional and mental such as a person's mental weakness will be more easily influenced towards use (Lisa, 2013). The impact caused as a result of drug use has proven to be very detrimental which can be viewed from all aspects such as medical, social, legal, economic and security. Even if there is no effective and sustainable prevention, it can result in the nation losing its generation (Lisa, 2013).one of the therapies given to patients using drugs is counseling therapy, supportive psychotherapy. Community service activities include providing materials, demonstrations and roleplays of the application of Group Activity Therapy using video screenings and TAK observation sheets for nurses at the Kuranji Health Center. This activity involved 13 nurses who worked at the Kuranji Health Center from December 2024 to January 2025. The results of this community service activity showed that 90% of participants were able to understand the concept of Group Therapy and TAK, 87% of participants were able to understand the role of nurses in Group Therapy and TAK, and 89% of participants were willing to carry out group activity therapy in the Kuranji Health Center work area according to the work section. It is hoped that the results of this activity will be one of the relevant interventions in improving the level of community mental health and increasing the role of nurses in mental health services in the community.

Abstract

HIV AIDS is still a public health problem in Indonesia, with the number of cases reaching 543,100. Key populations such as sex workers, injecting drug users, men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgenders contribute a relatively high proportion of cases. Lack of knowledge and low awareness of the importance of early detection are the main obstacles in prevention efforts. This community service aims to increase knowledge and attitudes and encourage independent HIV screening behavior in key populations through education. The activity methods include counseling and the distribution of leaflets. The activity was carried out in January 2025 in Padang, involving 25 participants from key populations. The stages of this community service include preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The evaluation results of this activity were an increase in knowledge from 55% to 78% and a positive attitude from 50% to 75%, so it can be concluded that community-based education can increase understanding and attitudes about early detection of HIV among key populations.

Abstract

The analytical tools used are multiple linear regression, partial correlation, multiple correlation, determination, partial test (t test) and simultaneous test (f test) which previously carried out instrument tests (validity test and reliability test) and classical assumption tests (normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test) with a population of 45 people by determining the sample size using a saturated sample. From the multiple linear regression analysis, the equation Y = 22.823 - 0.372X1 + 0.212X2 is obtained. This means that an increase in one level of employee performance is caused by the work environment by -0372 units and is caused by work motivation by 0.212 units. If the work environment and work motivation are ignored, employee performance will only be a constant value of 22.823. From the multiple correlation analysis, the value of R = 0.321 is obtained, meaning that there is a low relationship between the work environment and work motivation and employee performance. Partially, the correlation between the work environment and employee performance is (rx1y = 0.120), the correlation between work motivation and employee performance is (rx2y = 0.172). The coefficient of determination R2 (R Square) is 0.321 or 32.1%, meaning that the work environment and work motivation simultaneously contribute 32.1% to employee performance and the remaining 67.9% is contributed by many other variables outside the work environment and work motivation. which is being researched.

Abstract

Online game addiction has spread to be a widespread issue that impacts many people, especially adolescents. Adolescents with a gaming addiction impair their physical, mental, and social wellbeing and require treatment. Hypnotherapy is a cost-effective way to reduce online game addiction. This study aims to investigate the impact of hypnotherapy approaches on reducing online game addiction among adolescents. The research method used is a quasi-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design. The study sample consisted of adolescents with severe online game addiction in the working area of the Kuranji Public Health Center, Padang City—as many as 20 adolescents. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The data was analyzed using the Wilcoxon test, assisted by SPSS version 25. The results revealed that the average degree of online game addiction prior to receiving hypnotherapy was 55.55; however, after receiving hypnotherapy, the average value decreased to 42.45. The statistical results obtained have p values of 0.000. Hypnotherapy is recommended to be learned by every parent and teacher in order to control game addiction in their children. It is advised that parents of adolescent always supervise and instruct their children in proper behavior and establishing friends so as to prevent persistent online game addiction.

Abstract

Body image disturbances are a common psychological challenge among patients with Diabetes Mellitus (DM), influenced by the physical and emotional toll of the disease. Body dissatisfaction can negatively impact self-esteem, adherence to diabetes management, and overall quality of life. Positive affirmations, rooted in self-affirmation theory, have improved body image in various populations. However, there is limited research on the application of positive affirmations as an intervention for body image in DM patients. This study evaluated the effectiveness of a structured, positive affirmation intervention in improving body image among patients with Diabetes Mellitus using a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The study involved 40 adult DM patients participating in a 4-week positive affirmation program. Body image outcomes were measured pre-and post-intervention using the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire – Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS). The primary outcomes were changes in appearance evaluation, appearance orientation, body area satisfaction, and self-classified weight. Paired sample t-tests were used to analyze pre- and post-intervention differences, with effect sizes calculated using Cohen's d. Significant improvements were observed in appearance evaluation (p < 0.001, d = 0.91), body area satisfaction (p < 0.001, d = 0.80), and self-classified weight (p < 0.01, d = 0.76). Appearance orientation decreased significantly (p < 0.01, d = 0.66), indicating a reduced focus on external appearance. The intervention showed firm effect sizes across all body image dimensions. Positive affirmations effectively improved body image among DM patients, with significant improvements across multiple dimensions. This intervention offers a practical, low-cost strategy for addressing body image disturbances, potentially enhancing the psychological and physical wellbeing of DM patients. Future studies should explore long-term effects and compare the intervention with other psychosocial approaches in diverse populations.
