Abstract

Abstract:The results of the TIMSS survey, PISA, and the facts show that students' mathematical problem solving abilities are still low. This means that students have difficulty working on math problems, especially problem solving problems. Adversity Quotient (AQ) has an important role for students in solving learning problems. There are 3 AQs namely quitters, campers, and climbers. This study attempts to describe the profile of students' mathematical problem solving based on Polya's steps in terms of quitters, campers, and climbers. The result shows that quitters students cannot carry out the four steps of Polya problem solving well, namely understanding the problem, making problem planning, carrying out problem planning, and re-examining the process and results of the settlement. Campers students are not able to re-examine the results and processes that have been written. While climbers students can carry out all four steps in solving the intended Polya problem. Abstrak:Hasil survey TIMSS, PISA, dan fakta dilapangan menunjukkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa masih rendah. Artinya siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal matematika, khususnya soal pemecahan masalah. Adversity Quotient (AQ) memiliki peranan penting bagi siswa dalam memecahkan masalah belajar. Ada 3 AQ yaitu quitters, campers, dan climbers. Penelitian ini mencoba mendeskripsikan profil pemecahan masalah matematika siswa berdasarkan langkah-langkah Polya ditinjau dari quitters, campers, dan climbers. Artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa quitters tidak dapat melaksanakan empat langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah Polya dengan baik yaitu memahami masalah, membuat perencanaan masalah, melaksanakan perencanaan masalah, serta memeriksa kembali proses dan hasil penyelesaian. Siswa campers tidak mampu melakukan pemeriksaan kembali terhadap hasil dan proses yang sudah ditulisnya. Sedangkan siswa climbers dapat melaksanakan seluruh empat langkah pemecahan masalah Polya yang dimaksud.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita tipe HOTS berdasarkan teori Newman pada materi statistika serta faktor-faktor penyebabnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 1 Jombang yang berjumlah 32 siswa, dengan 3 siswa dipilih berdasarkan jumlah kesalahan terbanyak. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes dan pedoman wawancara, dengan teknik analisis data yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lima jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa yaitu tahapan memahami (comprehention) yaitu sebanyak 50%, kesalahan menyimpulkan jawaban (encoding) yaitu sebanyak 22,85%, kesalahan keterampilan proses (process skill) yaitu sebanyak 18,57%, kesalahan pada tahapan transformasi (transformation) yaitu 4,29% dan terakhir kesalahan pada tahap membaca (reading) yaitu 4,29%. Kesalahan membaca terjadi karena kurangnya kemampuan literasi matematika siswa. Kesalahan memahami terjadi karena kebiasaan siswa yang langsung melakukan perhitungan tanpa menuliskan informasi yang diketahui dan ditanyakan. Kesalahan transformasi disebabkan oleh kesulitan siswa dalam mengidentifikasi permasalahan dan kurangnya pemahaman konsep matematika. Kesalahan keterampilan proses terjadi karena ke tidak telitian dalam melakukan operasi hitung. Kesalahan menyimpulkan jawaban terjadi dikarenakan siswa tidak teliti dan tidak terbiasa menuliskan jawaban akhir.

Abstract

Fans of noodle food among young people are increasing every year because consumers without seeing the risk of fast food that is often consumed every day will cause disease. The emergence of this research is to develop innovative judes persea noodles where the raw material of the product is made from avocado leaves and does not use preservatives so that it can be said to be healthy food. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, which aims to understand consumer perceptions and buying interest in the innovation of healthy spicy noodles made from avocado leaves. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, including interviews with various groups such as teenagers, students, housewives, and healthy culinary actors. The results showed that the innovation of healthy spicy noodles made from avocado leaves has the potential to be accepted by the market because it contains bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, and saponins that function as antioxidants and antibacterials, and can increase the nutritional value and durability of the product naturally. In addition, consumer perception and buying interest in this product is quite high, supported by effective marketing strategies and the use of local natural ingredients. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan analisis kemampuan literasi matematika pada siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika berbentuk cerita. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Peterongan tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Subjek dipilih berdasarkan literasi matematika kategori tertentu. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes literasi matematika dan wawancara. Penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan indikator yang diturunkan dari tiga aspek literasi matematika yaitu: (1) merumuskan masalah secara sistematis, (2) menerapkan konsep, fakta, prosedur, dan penalaran, (3) menafsirkan dan menginterpretasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan literasi matematika kategori sedang mampu memenuhi dua dari tiga aspek dan lima dari tujuh indikator literasi matematika. Aspek yang sudah dicapai oleh siswa kategori sedang adalah merumuskan masalah secara matematis dan menerapkan konsep, fakta, prosedur, serta penalaran. Indikator yang sudah dicapai oleh siswa adalah mampu meyederhanakan soal, memikirkan ide awal dalam memecahkan masalah yang terdapat dalam soal, mampu merancang strategi penyelesaian permasalahan secara runtut, mampu menggunakan konsep-konsep matematika, fakta, prosedur, dan penalaran, mampu menyelesaikan soal dengan tepat, tetapi masih mampu menafsirkan dan menginterpretasikan hasil penyelesaian.

Abstract

Research and development (Research and Development) by producing products in the form of Mathematics Higer Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) questions based on culture and local wisdom on homemade pastries (ethnic-MathHOTS). The development model referred to by the researcher is the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) which was adapted into Analysis, Design, Development (ADD). The stages that the research team has done are currently only at the design stage, meaning that the design of the Mathematics Higer Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) questions based on culture and local wisdom on pastries (ethnic-MathHOTS) that will be made will be consulted with experts consisting of assessment experts. and material experts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of the assessment instrument based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) based on qualitative and quantitative analysis. The type of research is descriptive quantitative. This study involved 32 Mathematics Education students. The research instrument was in the form of a question review sheet and 16 multiple-choice items based on HOTS based on Bloom's taxonomy. The qualitative study covers aspects of content/material, construction, and language. While the quantitative analysis is based on the Classical Test Theory approach with the help of the ANATES version 4.0.9 program. Aspects that are analyzed quantitatively include validity, reliability, level of difficulty, discriminatory power, and distractor functions. The results showed that 1) the instrument reached the valid criteria from the results of qualitative and quantitative studies, 2) the reliability of the items reached 0.87 including very high criteria, 3) the discriminatory power of at least 22.22%, 4) the level of difficulty of the questions included 25% easy, 31.25% moderate, while 43.75% difficult, and 5) all distractors work well. This HOTS-based assessment instrument can be applied as an evaluation tool in familiarizing students with higher-order thinking.

Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital era, social media has become one of the main pillars in the marketing strategy of various products, including snacks such as snack mix. TikTok, as a rising platform, offers various advantages such as ease of access, creative features, and high viral potential, making it an effective marketing tool, especially among millennials and Gen Z. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach to examine the effectiveness of TikTok in increasing brand awareness and sales of snack mix products through a case study of the @chikindo_ TikTok account. The results showed that strategies such as creating interesting content, using hashtags, collaborating with influencers, and sales promotions can increase product visibility. However, the effectiveness of these strategies varies, depending on creativity and consistency in implementation. Thus, TikTok is a highly relevant and potential platform to be used in the digital marketing of snack food MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of learning resources, such as art textbooks based on local wisdom in Kabupaten Jombang, was carried out by referring to the Borg and Gall model. The feasibility of these textbooks was examined by media experts, material experts, and students. This study aimed to investigate the feasibility of art textbooks based on local wisdom in Kabupaten Jombang from various expert perspectives. A descriptive qualitative research method was employed. Data were collected through participatory observation and field trials to determine the usefulness of the product. The data from expert validations and student trials were analyzed using the Likert scale criteria. The total scores were converted into percentages and then interpreted qualitatively using product feasibility guidelines. The results showed that the average score from material experts was 77%, from media experts was 95%, and from the large group student trial was 85.3%. The overall average score was 86.47%, indicating that the product was categorized as very suitable to be used as a primary learning resource.
