Abstract

Universities in Indonesia create millions of graduates, but the labor market does not absorb most graduates, so they become unemployed. One of the ways to overcome unemployment is through entrepreneurship education to encourage them to become entrepreneurs to create their jobs. The success of entrepreneurship is determined by utilizing capital, one of which is social capital. This study aimed to find out how the relevance of social capital in developing entrepreneurship education. This was qualitative study, and data was gathered through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis went through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing and was finally verified. The results of the research explained that the elements of social capital, including networks, norms, and trust was built through entrepreneurship education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of peers in fostering students’ motivation to complete their undergraduate thesis in the 2019 cohort of the Sociology Education Program. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive phenomenological approach, utilizing three main stages: data collection, data analysis, and data validation. The findings of this study indicate that peers play a significant role in enhancing students’ motivation to finish their thesis. Peers contribute to the development of both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, encouraging students to complete their thesis in a timely manner. Keywords: Motivation, Peers, Final Project, Students. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran teman sebaya dalam menumbuhkan motivasi mahasiswa menyelesaikan tugas akhir di Pendidikan Sosiologi angkatan 2019. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi deskriptif, dimana pada penelitian ini menggunakan cara tiga yaitu pengumpulan data, analasis data dan pengujian keabsahan data. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teman sebaya memiliki peran penting dalam menumbuhkan motivasi mahasiswa menyelesaikan tugas akhir. Teman sebaya berperan dalam menumbuhkan motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik pada diri mahasiswa agar mahasiswa terdorong untuk segera menyelesaikan tugas akhir miliknya. Kata Kunci: Mahasiswa.
