Gratefulness is one of commendable qualities. In the al-Qurâ€™an uslub, this word of gratitude is expressed in term of gratitude. Islamic theaching consider this issue of gratitude important, so that in many verses of the holy Qurâ€™an it can be found that the word gratitude is often couple with the word remembrance. Other terms that have some common meaning with it are al-hamdu and al-tsanaâ€™. The urgency of gratitude for a muslim is as a form of positive sel-actualization so that it can be a servant who is always obedient and grateful. Gratitude is very many benefits if done according to God instructions. Gratitude can be done by heart, verbally, and deeds. If a servant is grateful for the favor God has given him. But if a servant disobeys and does not thank God fro the grace he has enjoyed, then Allah will bring punishment upon him.Â

Thinking is one of human privileges compared to other of God. In the uslub of qurâ€™an, the word of this thought is expressed in the term tafakkur. Other terms that have some similaraties with it are taâ€™ammul and tadabbur. Tafakkur activity or thinking well and deeply is the key to opening the door of divine light, the door of all knowledge, the beginning or basis for the vision of conscience and the path to maâ€™rifatullah, so that it reaches a good understanding of Allah SWT. The urgency of tafakkur for a muslim is a form of self-reflection so that he can become a servant who is always gratefull. Tafakkur is very much beneficial if done accordingly. However, tafakkur has limits, among them : they can not bear testimony about the substance of God, do not harm, and tafakkur should make us more confident to God.

Masalah pernikahan beda agama telah menjadi wacana sekaligus realita yang aktual dan relevan untuk dikaji. Aktual, karena masalah ini terus menjadi polemik para ulama dan relevan karena pernikahan beda agama ini masih sering terjadi terutama dalam masyarakat yang hidup berdampingan antar agama atau masyarakat yang plural. Praktek pernikahan beda agama, disadari maupun tidak, merupakan salah satu problem sosial kemasyarakatan yang telah menjadi realita empirik dengan grafik kuantitasnya yang semakin meninggi. Fenomena tersebut, di satu sisi merupakan bagian dari permasalahan yang menuntut jawaban hukum Islam. Di sisi lain juga merupakan problem krusial yang senantiasa mengharapkan sekaligus menuntut jawaban arif bijaksana dari para ulama. Rasyid Ridha dan al-Maraghi sebagai seorang mufassir, yang mana masalah sosial ini juga terjadi di masa mereka, ikut andil mencarikan solusi hukum dalam al-Qur’an terhadap permasalah nikah beda agama yang terjadi di kalangan umat ini. Pendapat mereka dalam masalah ini cukup dinamis dan kontroversial. Tulisan ini akan menelisik pandangan kedua mufasir tersebut dan membandingkannya untuk melihat manakah pandangan yang lebih relefan bagi kehidupan kontemporer saat ini.

Islam is a mercy for the universe. But in reality, many people don’t want to make Islam the compas of life. This makes them be oppressor. The scholars, especially Wahbah al-Zuhaili have warned in one of his book, namely Tafsir al-Wasith not do oppression. Therefore, this research aims to describe the narration of the term oppression in Tafsir al-Wasith; in the form of the definition of oppression, the history of oppression, various kinds of oppression, triggering factor for doing of oppression, and punishment for oppressor. The method used in this research is thematic method. The results of this research is to explain that the meaning of oppression is attitudes and actions that goes beyond the corridor. Oppression acts in history began with the prophet Adam. There are three kinds of oppression; namaely oppression to Allah, oppression to one’s own person, and oppression to other people. There are three triggering factors for doing oppression; namely fear of the creatures more than fear of the Creator, weak faith in the Day of Judgment, and raises doubt about the justice of Allah. Oppressor will be punished for his oppression; both the punishment of this world and the punishment of the hereafter.

Pembacaan Wahbah Az-Zuhaili Terhadap Term Mubazir Dalam Kitab al-Tafsir al-Munir Desri Ari Enghariano

Islam does not forbid its adherents to enjoy the life of the world. They are allowed and given the freedom to enjoy all the sustenance that Allah has given them. However, the behavior in expressing pleasure should not cross the predetermined line, such as excessive, extravagant and wasteful. But, the reality of the living habits of Indonesian Muslims shows that there are still many who commit wasteful acts, especially in the matter of food. Food that is not spent becomes wasted and wasted, resulting in a very large amount of waste, even up to hundreds of trillions of rupiah per year.Based on the reality of the wasteful behavior of Indonesian Muslims, the author is interested in researching this issue by describing Wahbah Az-Zuhaili's reading of wasteful terms in the book of al-Tafsir al-Munir. This research includes the description of Wahbah Az-Zuhaili regarding the meaning of the word wasteful, the causes of wasteful attitudes, threats to wasteful perpetrators, and solutions to eliminate wasteful attitudes. Thematic method is the choice in completing this research. The results of this research explain that the meaning of redundant is to manage and spend wealth or money not in the right place and not wise in its use. The cause of the emergence of wasteful behavior is not caring about religious teachings and following their lusts. The threat to the wasteful perpetrator is that he will become a brother of Satan and become a disbelief in Allah. The solution to eliminating wasteful nature is to be moderate in the use of wealth, not to distribute wealth in immoral cases, and to distribute wealth to people in need.

Argumen Kontra Muhammad Imarah Atas Konsep Susunan al-Qur’an Ala Abid al-Jabiri Desri Ari Enghariano

In an scientific context, thera are pros and cons in an issue that is normal. This reality also occurs in the study of the Qur’an. Among the modernist figures who propose a method in studying the Qur’an is Abed al-Jabri. He offered the idea of reconstructing the arrangement of the Qur’an. According to him, the arrangement of the Qur’an in the osman manuscirpts must be reviewed. This idea was refuted by Muhammad Imarah. He wrote a book, specifically to demolish Abed al-Jabri’s heretical ideas.The book is entitled “Radd Iftiraat al-Jabiri ‘Ala al-Qur’an al-Karim”.Therefore, this research aims to describe the Muhammad Imarah’s arguments againts the concept of Abed al-Jabri. The discussion includes the description of the figures of Abed al-Jabri and Muhammad Imarah, the secretaries of the Prophet Mohmmed, history of compiling the Qur’an, Muhammad Imarah’s rebuttal to the concept arrangement the Qur’an in the style of Abed al-Jabri. The method used in this research is analysis method. The results of this research is to explain that Abed al-Jabri and Muhammad Imarah are modern figures. Al-Jabri from Marocco and Muhammad Imarah from Egypt. Prophet Mohammed had many secretaries and they are divided in to groups. The format of the arrangement of the Qur’an is based on the instructions of the Prophet Mohammed. Al-Jabri’s arguments that became the basis of the idea of reconstruction the arrangement of verses and surah; 1) the Qur’an is very open for reformulation of the arrangement of verses and surahs. 2) The purpose of the idea of reconstructing the arrangement of the Qur’an is so that objectivity can be maintained. 3) All verses of the Qur’an have a sabab nuzul. Muhammad Imarah’s rebuttal; 1) Why switch from the divine God’s tartib, the arrangement that has existed since Lauh al-Mahfuzh and Gabriel taught the Prophet. 2) Qur’an is not a history book. 3) Al-Jabri’s claim is has no solid basis, because he was completely unable to name the salaf scholars who argued that all verses had a sabab nuzul.

Humans are one of the main actors in the Qur'an. Many verses of the Al-Qurʻan discuss about humans both their strengths and weaknesses. For this reason, this article aims to study the classification of terms related to humans in the Qur'an, the strengths and weaknesses of humans according to the Qur'an perspective. This study uses the method of tafsir maudhu'i (thematic interpretation). The results showed that the classification of terms that are often mentioned in the Qur'an about humans are; al-basyar, al-insan, al-naas, the children of Adam, and zuriyat Adam. In addition, other terms are also added to humans, such as: ‘Abdullah and the Khalifah. Among the advantages possessed by humans according to the Qur'an lies in physical, mind and heart. As for the human shortcomings according to the al-Qur`an, among others: like to complain and miserly, weak nature, wrongdoing and stupid, arguing and like to argue, hopeless and ungrateful, in a hurry, sinner, hesitant about the day of retribution.

Lately, cases of interfaith marriage have occured in many communities and it has caused a stir. Whats else is marriage between muslimah and non muslim men, this case caused controversy among muslims community. Among the commentators who were concerned about this problem were Rasyid Ridha and al-Maraghi. Therefore, this study will discuss their interpretation of the verses of marriage between muslimah and musyrik men and ahli kitab men. This study uses a comparative method. The results showed that the problem of marriage between muslimah and musyrik men, Rasyid Ridha only based on the surah al-Baqarah verse 221 in the establishing the law. While al-Maraghi strengthened it with surah al-Mumtahanah verse 10. In terms of methodolgy, they both adhere to the itthlaq al-lafzhi approach. Then the problem of marriage between mulimah and ahli kitab men, Rasyid Ridha was less strict in expressing his interpretation of the prohibition. While al-Maraghi is more assertive and cleare. In the terms of methodology, the adhere to the mafhum al-mukhalafah approach. Their interpretation of the marriage between muslimah and musyrik men and ahli kitab men is still relevant today.

Al-Qur’an is the word of Allah swt which sometimes has words in it that hold many meanings like the word qalbun salim. The word qalbun salim which is implied in the qur’an by mufassir which has many meanings, one of which is a clean heart and a safe heart. One of the commentators, Ahmad Musthafa Al-Maraghi, said that the heart of qalbun salim is a clean heart and a safe heart.As for the formulation of the problem of this research, how is the interpretation of the verses about qalbun salim according to Ahmad Musthafa Al-Maraghi. The purpose of this study is to find out the interpretation of the verses about qalbun salim according to Ahmad Musthafa Al-Maraghi.As for this research is library research, namely library research, which collects data sources in the form of primary and secondary library materials. The primary data source in this study is al-Maraghi’s interpretation and the secondary data sources in this study are books, journals, and books related to this research. The interpretation of verses about the heart of qalbun salim is the keyword of the qur’an in the thematic method, by collecting data on all verses related to the topic of qalbun salim.From the previous explanation the author concluded that Ahmad Musthafa Al-Maraghi said the word qalbun salim in the Qur’an, namely qalbun salimis the heart that is safe from shirk and empties his heart from actions that pollute his heart in the form of false beliefs and bad traits. Thean his heart becomes clean from sin and immorality and abstains from acts that are forbidden by Allah swt. Because on the day of resurrection a person cannot be protected from the punishment of Allah with wealth, even if he redeems it with gold all the earth and not with the son he has.

The application of reading the letters of al-Waqi'ah and al-Mulk at the Al Ansor Manunggang Julu Islamic Boarding School, Southeast Padangsidimpuan District, Padangsidimpuan City. The practice of applying Sutar recitation is one of the social responses of a particular community or group of people in perceiving the presence of the Qur'an. This study discusses the practice and meaning of the application of reading al-Waqi'ah and al-Mulk letters at the al-Ansor Manunggang Julu Islamic Boarding School, Kec. Padangsidimpuan Southeast Padangsidimpuan City. The aim is to find out the practice and meaning of the application of reading al-Waqi'ah and al-Mulk letters at the al-Ansor Manunggang Julu Islamic Boarding School, Kec. Padangsidimpuan Southeast Padangsidimpuan City. In this paper, the writer uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques that the author does, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Then take books related to this research, such as the book of theresearch methodology Living Qur'an and Hadithby Sahiron Syamsudin. The results of the study, it can be seen that the application of reading letters al Waqi'ah and al-Mulk is the idea of the female student organization management that has lasted for 7 years and it is required for all female students to take part in the reading of Surat al-Waqi'ah which is carried out after the Fajr prayer and Surah al-Mulk is carried out after the Isha prayer. Initially the students felt compelled to do it, as time went on there were certain benefits that were obtained such as peace of mind, comfort, ease in dealing with problems that came, increasing parental submissions, not feeling deprived, and being able to control emotions.
