Abstract

This research investigates the impact of Islamic religiosity and spiritual experiences on suicide intent among final-year students. The phenomenon of final-year students experiencing difficulties in completing their final assignments and even resorting to suicide serves as the background for this study. The research methodology employed is quantitative with a survey approach. Data analysis was conducted using path analysis techniques through Mplus version 8.0 software and its supporting tool, IBM SPSS version 24. The study's population consisted of final-year students at Sriwijaya University and Raden Fatah State Islamic University, Palembang. The sample was selected using a multistage sampling technique, with 412 respondents. This study used research instruments, including the Harkavy Asnis Suicide Scale (HASS) by Jill M. Harkavy Friedman, the Islamic Religiosity Scale by Hisham Abu Raiya et al., and the Daily Spiritual Experience Scale by Lynn G. Underwood. The research results indicate that Islamic religiosity has a significant influence on suicide intent through spiritual experiences as a mediator. Spiritual experiences are associated with a reduction in suicide intent, and both factors contribute to reducing suicide intent among students (R Square Change = 12%). Additionally, there is also a direct influence of Islamic religiosity on suicide intent without mediation. Similar findings apply to spiritual experiences. Recommendations from this research include encouraging students to engage in religious practices, strengthening spiritual experiences, and maintaining a balance between academic and religious aspects. The importance of mental health support and suicide prevention programs within the campus environment is also emphasized.

Abstract

A learning culture is a crucial foundation for adaptive, creative, and innovative organizations. This study examines the contribution of a learning culture to an organization's innovation capacity, emphasizing how collective values, norms, and practices influence the ability to generate, develop, and implement new ideas. In a dynamic global environment, organizations are required not only to be efficient but also to transform through systematic and reflective learning. Findings indicate that a strong learning culture creates a work environment open to feedback, cross-functional collaboration, and calculated risk-taking. Organizations with a strong learning culture are better able to manage knowledge, adapt quickly, and enhance employee competencies. This culture also strengthens social cohesion, a sense of ownership, and motivation to contribute to the innovation process. Key factors such as transformational leadership, a reward system for new ideas, and technological support and knowledge infrastructure strengthen these relationships. Thus, a learning culture is not simply a social asset but a strategic driver in building sustainable innovation capacity and long-term competitive advantage.

Abstract

In the midst of structural transitions within Indonesia’s civil service system, ASN-PPPK Lecturers face unique psychological challenges, including contractual uncertainty, administrative pressure, and disparities in remuneration. These stressors threaten their subjective well-being (SWB), which is essential for professional performance and institutional resilience. This study aims to analyze the influence of gratitude, forgiveness, Islamic personality, and social support on the SWB of ASN-PPPK Lecturers. Using a quantitative correlational design, the study involved 401 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple regression via JASP version 0.95.3.0. The results indicated that forgiveness, Islamic personality, and social support had a significant influence on SWB, while gratitude exhibited a positive but statistically insignificant effect. These findings implied that internalized Islamic values and interpersonal resources played a more critical role in sustaining lecturers’ well-being than individual emotional appreciation alone under structurally constrained conditions. Therefore, universities are encouraged to develop institutional policies that strengthen social support systems, foster forgiveness-based conflict management, and integrate Islamic personality development into lecturer mentoring and well-being programs. From the perspective of Islamic psychology, this study underscores the importance of contextualizing spiritual constructs within structural realities. It supports the advancement of integrative models of well-being that combine faith-based values with organizational interventions.
